try playing more light an fluffy at the beginning. the mallet choice is perfect but ur hitting the keys way too hard. also i think your accenting notes u shouldnt. have fun
@funnyprincess789 Thanks. Ideally, your elbows shouldn't be right down at your side but it looks like that would be the solution looking at this awkward angle but really I need to get my wrists lower. Thanks for the feedback though.
Oh, I also found it a LOT easier to make m. 32 and m. 37 even is play the first four notes with just the inside mallets. it sounds more even and you don't have to squeeze the crap out of your hands to play that Maj 2nd.
this really good for a xylomarimba. you have good posture and you do a good job of keeping the outside mallets still when only using the inside, and vice versa. My only suggestion would be to play softer in the L.H. and bring out the R.H more, b/c the RH has the melody, and LH is just accompaniment.
@jdog971 Heh thanks! yea, I used to hate this xylomarimba but it has gotten me through some tough times. Plus its resonance is gorgeous, but the camera doesn't really capture that >.>
@TheMisterMarimba Wonderful! Congratulations to you! And sure, if you (or anyone) has any questions about IB Music (I know it's one of the more vague IB subjects), I would love to help as much as I can! Just shoot me an email at dvv297@gmail.com and I'll reply ASAP!
