haha... 8 hours waiting time in the hospital is notjing! Here in Quebec(Canada), it can be more than 16 hours!!! I know it's crazy! My mother had a unstoppable nosebleed, she waited 12 hours for a doctor, and then she had to come the next day for the operation. She needed a blood transfusion because she lost so much blood durung that time. If you are in QUebec, don't get sick! Or chop your finger and you'll get a fast service! lol (it's funny because it's true!)

With greatest of respect it sounds totally long winded and very computerised and how long does all this registering here and there take todo when u r ill or 100% u don't want mess around with all this why can't they just have one system with a receptionist it sounds so complicated but I have heard from people whom a guy had a heart attack in the uk they said they had the best treatment ever and were treated like royalty and dignity and respect a far cry from what u get fr the nhs in the uk

I was rushed by ambulance to Mass General Hospital Boston about a 3 miniute ride from where I live only to wait for 12 hours because of all the illeagal immigrants ahead of me. Japan does everything right but I did get my transplant at the same hospital so I should not be bitching.

Only an hour... i wish that was true here. Even for something serious, like a fractured hand as well as a broken finger in the wrong derection took a while. I had to wait for around 4 hours and then like another hour in the room before i was finally seen to.

Over here you have to wait YEARS to get an operation done in the public hospital.

Waiting time for something small is about 4 hours minimum even when it's an emergency sometimes you'll have to wait about two hours...

Really reminds me of Belgium University hospitals, the card, the wait, the efficiency... From what it sounds like you were there for a reason so I am not sure I would like to see more hospital vids, i.e. you and your fiance having reasons to return due to ailments .....

when I went to Korea to teach and had to do a health check. There they also have different parts of the hospital performing different tests such as blood test, xray, etc; so to get the health check done I was walking about to get the various tests done. In the US you go to one room the doctor -- well more likely a nurse comes in and does most of the tests.

we have those cards for hospitals in Montreal, Canada also. Makes it easier for them to get your complete report of past issues. 1 hour waiting room is AWESOME, here you better be bleeding or screaming in agony to wait less than A FEW HOURS at least!!

Few times I went to the hospital for a non-emergency could go up to an hour thirty, unless I was in a city, in which case I usually just stayed home and dealt with it myself.

Usually when I got to the hospital in America I have to wait 3-8 hours, they see me for 3 minutes and charge me(mostly insurance) up to $7,000 for tests I probably didn't need.
