  • opinion is like a butthole everyone has one.. so there will be those who will wail and cry with you , indulge you like children but i dont do things this way , i tell the truth and damn the consequence.. let the truth speak for itself . ~"politeness is the perogative of princes" no good banging on about being "kings and queens" and then in the next sentence calling africans "monkey baboon , blue gummed gorillas" it makes no sense at all. i think that is part of the craziness that we get A LOT.

  • @aitan844 Well, I would never throw those insults at anyone. I don't know what it feels like to want to abuse someone and I don't care know. But I do hear that what you are saying is that a large number of people ARE behaving this way and that it is a big problem for African Americans as a whole with respect to your opinions of us.

  • @TheTrinketGirl "care *to* know"

  • @TheTrinketGirl To be honest i dont think our opinion matters here, its the impact of such behaviour has on the way you are going to be perceived remembering that you are still seen as americans no matter what , you cant change that.

  • @aitan844 OK, well, there it is then, no matter what.

  • fuck ghana iam afro amewrican, thats why they go hunger in there country

  • we have indoor plumbing, nice houses, schools, roads , and lamp posts along with the wars, famine and pot bellied fly ridden children fed to you endlessly by cnn, fox news and whatever news outlet RUPERT MURDOCH owns .. lol the brainwashing against africa is not going to end anytime soon you have to find out the TRUTH yourselves.. and dont look to HOLLYWOOD , they did the same number on native indians too.

  • if you come to us with respect as in curiosity without the aggression you will get a lot more out of that than the whinging and raging aggression it just makes most africans keep away in droves ..

"my love and pride, the africa you dont see on your tv" is a wonderful video and an inspirational video with very few hits because its not got a lot of naked women on it.. so many blacks dont go to view it to answer the questions they want to ask" do you have indoor plumbling in africa" ? yes..

  • am not interested in giving my name, serial number of contact details here, this is a forum for debate and opinion and americans do not have sole rights to voice their opinions here, this is how it works. you can have the anger and the pain, but you cant vent on us without expecting to be rejected for doing so.. america was not the only country engaged in the trade so americans are not special when it comes to the problems that came from it,i will treat every other diaspora the same way.

  • people, we are all very different i find it quite amusing to be told that forty four million americans are "individuals" while african NATIONS are ONE COUNTRY and we are all the same except for somali and eriterians who must be "mixed with arabs" as the only "africans " are "dark and have thick lips and big noses" .. again what you are taught doesnt correspond to what is on the ground .. it never has ..

  • diaspora who dont have anything to prove here.. they know that they are descendants of africans , have plenty of legacy from it , and dont have the emotional baggage. Americans have to learn that the more they offload on us , the less they get out of it.. eventually they will learn to "divest " themselves of all that and come to the table with an open mind and a willingness to learn about something which has nothing to do with whatever they know or think they know about any african culture or

  • its a nation of extremes , extreme emotional reactions to anything that doesnt fit into what is basically the experience of one country... other nations dont get the right to have such emotional reactions or be so extreme. its not difficult nor is it rocket science to see why africans are either attacked for being africans or held in contempt by those who either fear or dispise us because they are taught to dispise themselves.. its always going to lead to conflict in a way it wont do with

  • as slave labour is basically free labour the way the chinese were used to build the american railway system and were maltreated and many lost their lives on it.. dont even talk about the way the native indian nations where expunged and obliterated by the conquerors from the spanish conquistadors to the american wild west incursions which came to a head with the battle of little big horn. so a nation that came forth like this is bound to have some sort of knock off side effect on its people..

  • countries that engaged in the west african slave trade, so i dont see americans as particular here. other diaspora went thru horrors but its like they do not exit and that is not on .. its not about americans just because they have more money to throw around .

  • @aitan844 I was asking to make sure that I had the right understanding. Not because I think that Africans should compromise.

  • @TheTrinketGirl you cant portion of blame on to black americans for that, it was handed to them by the way the trade was divested in america and the systematic way that slaves were deliberately separated so as not to be able to communicate this is well known , however their descendants now have no real attachment or contact with this continent but have an emotional response to it.. A response that has more to do with the way black is percieved in a country that has used blacks to build wealth

  • @aitan844 I really wonder why it was so difficult for the american blacks to hold on to their culture. It's confusing. We know that blacks elsewhere are more in touch culturally. I don't know that it's about money. I don't know what it is.

  • its common sense.. why put out a special rule for one group , in that case put it out for all, and that is where it gets very tricky because i see american black diaspora as part of the whole diaspora not the head but the body of it.. africa is the head, not africans but africa , the continent is the head because without the continent there would be no diaspora to talk about here and its not just about the experiences of blacks in one country its about the experiences of blacks in the

  • south americans do not come to us with the "you must adjust to us " attidutes . why should americans be treated different ? why are they a special case here ? the diaspora is comprised of blacks coming from at least three other continents yet americans feel they need to be put on a pedastel . why ? not happening .

  • remembering that AFRICA IS A CONTINENT NOT A COUNTRY , there are fifty four countries within it not one is similar to the other its not the united states of africa, as so many americans believe .. its not one language, one culture, its a continent with more complexities than any cnn , fox new bbc america , can ever show you .. i am always amazed as how little most americans and i mean AMERICANS on the whole , understand of the outside world.. considering the facilities are there and waiting

  • there is a difference in being a tourist , being a tourist who buys property in africa and settling down to intergrate in african lifestyles and learning more about what it is being an african and learning about african cultures etc..

  • when you watch african films you begin to see see why .. we cannot relate to america in the same way because we have not been thru that mental divorce from who we are .. we know who we are, we accept it and rejoice in it its always going to be a problem to be able to deal with that fact. hence the hostility harrassment, barracking engagements we have to deal with all the time.

  • i would like to see them engage with us like that, to come to our countries, learn our languages, learn a bit about our customs that is what is impressive not regurtitating what white america has inculcated them with .. when we see that all we do is switch off we expect them to behave like africans forgetting that essentally they are "white people " in thinking and behaviour .. its difficult.

  • @aitan844 One thing to consider is that we were raised by whites in a sense but in general we have never been accepted as family by anyone.

  • @TheTrinketGirl and that is the problem, and that is a problem i am begining to understand you also have to understand that it is a problem we just dont really have any grasp on .. when we look at america its not through your eyes its thru the eyes of any immigrant , we see america so differently

  • @aitan844 So this is a key area to address on both sides. Wouldn't you agree?

  • @TheTrinketGirl you have to remember that it is the american coming to the african country who needs to do the adjusting , if they dont they will be ignored and treated like strangers..

  • @TheTrinketGirl As americans you are ISOLATED , you are brought up to see your country ALONE not as part of a group of countries and that isolationist attidute comes accross to us .. engagment is a process and its something those of you who are keen to move to african countries need to work on before you even buy a ticket .. its a lot to do and i think not an easy thing to do ..

  • the reason i use Titilayo oyinbo as an example is that when you can get american blacks to engage with us like this you will find they will have much more impact .. but using what they have learnt from white supremacy attdutes is not going to get anywhere at all.

  • @aitan844 I will tell you the truth. If not for my initial impression of you in one of your videos where you were just talking, just teaching, I would have stopped listening a long time ago.

  • @TheTrinketGirl its entirely up to you , this is where american culture kicks in , and makes it difficult for most of you to absorb .. when we point out where there needs to be an attidute adjustment when dealing with the african zietgiest because you have to understand african countries are not america ..its entirely divorced from whatever you know in your country a country i am very familiar with .. there is no connection at all.

  • american blacks who come to africa need to shed that "we americans are here to teach you " they have to shed all that baggage to get more out of their journey you cant learn more if you are going to engage like these women thats why the other two examples on the documentary were great examples of how to engage ..

  • @aitan844 I'm surprised to hear that African Americans take that attitude because from the stories I've heard of those who have visited, they are greatly humbled by the majesty of the land and the people.

  • @TheTrinketGirl you will be treated with RESPECT because we are RESPECTFUL people generally it is CULTURE that is all important each culture has their own mores and traditions , when you engage with respect you are treated with respect but when you engage like these people on here of course you are left ALONE..

  • @aitan844 I find it hard to think that most would behave as the women in the video. Some perhaps but definitely not most.

  • @TheTrinketGirl not saying most would be like her but there is a growing tension in ghana because its there.. we have more black americans in nigeria than any other african country including south africa but those living in nigeria are dealing with a completely different people, we are much more forward so you engage with us but do not patronise us as you will be given short shrift if you do .. thats why black americans and carribean blacks either intergrate or separate themselves in the country

  • @aitan844 Have you noticed at all if their is at least a learning curve so to speak. Is there a window of time allowed for the adjusting or is it expected as soon as we land?

  • @TheTrinketGirl *there*

  • @TheTrinketGirl you need to do your research, and at least know a bit about the people you are going to engage with otherwise its going straight to the slave castles doing your bit and winging it back home.. that has absolutely no impact on anyone all it does is fill the pockets of the tour operator..

  • @aitan844 I see.

  • @aitan844 Now is the "no compromise" a part of custom and culture, so it just needs to be understood and not challenged?

  • @TheTrinketGirl "no comprise"? what is there to compromise about ? the american coming to an african country needs to understand exactly what they are doing here.. if they are coming to learn about the cultures fine, if they are coming to weep at the slave castles , that is fine too. but to expect that somehow we are now supposed to behave in a particular way towards them is what i dont understand , its either you come in as an AMERICAN TOURIST or you come to seek to find out about africa

  • check out "titilayo oyinbo " on my page and see how they should be doing it

  • if a white american had gone to that market and screamed at the market women about the sewers you would have outrage coming from blacks but again its justified because the woman yelling feels she has a "right " to do it.. not good. its not a good sign that this thing will ever work.

  • @aitan844 You already posted that on a previous video. I can see that this is a real source of pain. And I can understand why. No way would Africans expect this type of behavior to come from these women. It was ridiculous. I agree.

  • @TheTrinketGirl we expect better.. but again its not everyone engaging this way

  • so now you find a type of "apartied" where africans keep to themselves because of the down right open hostility and self rightous barracking .. its americans doing this and its americans who justify it endlessly .. it just makes most of us keep our distance .. and you find that most african communties in america dont have any contact with black americans because of it.

  • @aitan844 You have immense power because African Americans need you regardless of what you may think. And focusing on those that are negative doesn't do anything to educate. It is just something that causes you anger. I hear you and I understand that this type of behavior is wrong. I didn't do it nor would I condone it. Moving forward, is there anything positive that you wish to share?

  • @TheTrinketGirl its on my page thats why i leave it open ..

  • @TheTrinketGirl what annoys me is the attidute nothing else.. nothing to do with dna we are the same dna . your ancestors are african , from west african i find some dont want to know this and i dont argue with this but its a fact .. however that doesnt mean that american attdutes have to get in the way ..

  • not all americans are rude, but the example of just how effective they could be is on my page, "titilayo oyinbo" an american girl who understood just how its done. go and check it out .

  • the ones coming to africa have money and can make their enviroments , but they also need to look around them and not expect countries to sieze up and stop functioning . the woman complaining that ghana should not have any celebrations is beyond the pale .. its like an african saying "americans must not celebrate their independence day" ?? its arrogant.

  • @aitan844 She is one woman who is doing nothing to improve things.

  • @TheTrinketGirl "improve things"? she is not there to patronise the market women and barrack them about the sewers here.. if you cant see this then there is no point, the black woman on here yelling at the market woman is patronising them she is not improving anything all she is doing is reinforcing the opinion that she is a white woman . as i said its not good . it doesnt augur well at all

  • @aitan844 That is good to know. Now, let's promise the heavens and ourselves that we will stop discussions about those two and move forward?

  • @TheTrinketGirl there are much better examples on other pages.. this one is annoying to even look at all i can see is rude americans on here and that is not good.

  • @aitan844 I agree.

  • so , dont bring me onto this board to endorse this type of american ..

  • @aitan844 I'm not endorsing anyone. It is OK for a brother or sister to make the other aware of their power without insulting them.

  • @TheTrinketGirl we dont have any power , the power is yours but its up to you to use it EFFECTIVELY ..

  • i dont like coming onto this board because these examples are totally off putting to me, i would rather NOT see them ranting and screaming and showing us the type of behaviour that we want to aviod

  • why is it "certifiable " not to want to enage with those who are rude and aggressive towards us ? if i came to your home to yell and rage at you would you not see me as rude and crazy ? those two women are rude and crazy .. its that simple

  • they are two examples of what americans do wrong when they transpose themselves into an arena they have no connection to.

  • why are we supposed to be accepting of rude behaved americans ? explain , because i notice that when africans like me give their opinion we are all attacked wholesale when an american black does something like the ones on here they are"individualised" .. it doesnt work that way.. LIBERIA is a lesson that has not been learnt as yet it could happen again and we dont want that "come in peace and dont leave in pieces"

  • many of us see this and are totally put of by it .. thats why most of us will not engage with american blacks per se as all we are met with is rage, anger, and the same racist rants that they GET from white america its like proxy racism .. dont call us names, dont disrespect the land two things which i think is difficult to adhere too.

  • @aitan844 I clearly said that I don't agree with anyone being rude or disrespectful so I'm not defending anyone. Ive asked you to show those of us who want to learn but you keep focusing your attention on two individuals. Your platform is wasted this way.

  • @TheTrinketGirl i focus on them when you bring them to my attention ..

  • how can you expect africans NOT to look at them as WHITE PEOPLE ? they are acting like COLONIAL MASTERS.. they are not what we need infact they are the opposite, they come to africa not to have anything to do with africans its not about "connecting " with any of us, its about healing themselves ignoring their surroundings.. they just might as well have saved their money and moved to florida ..

  • you are rude and instead of addressing those issues you prefer to offload on others, i dont like rudness it wont get sympathy from me nor will it get any understanding but instead of seeing bad behaviour you prefer to transplant it .. it is the reason why you find that most africans keep to their own in america ..

  • information costs nothing to give out , i dont care, thats why my channels are open but i will kick the butts of rude people .. dont call us names, dont be rude, its not rocket science, everything else is conjecture..

  • am not budging on this issue, this woman is rude and the other woman is even ruder.. but they are so clouded by their rage and anger at their history in america to see the woods from the trees.. when you come to my home to shout at me you will get short shrift and i think americans dont quite understand why here. now you can see why we keep our distance.. americans can be really really RUDE, and at the same time have no clue as to why they come accross as being offensive ..

  • all i am looking at is a very rude american woman

  • nor are they going to care about what is going on in ANOTHER COUNTRY .. so this is where there will be conflict .. that horrible woman going to the market to complain and yell about the sewers doesnt go down well its bad manners but they cant understand why this type of behaviour will be whole heartedly rejected . that doesnt make me "certifiable" i dont put up with rude americans and i dont care where they come from, black white, green pink or yellow.

  • its not too much to ask these people who come from america to have manners, and step back from their rage and learn a bit about the countries they are carrying themselves to .. otherwise they will be seen as white people with a tan and will be treated as such, you cannot bring this baggage to us its not going to be understood, when you are also coming with dollars to spend no one is going to be sympathying with you ..

  • keeping to themselves, they are out there, with their big houses and nice lifestyles but have no impact , they are seen as white people .. its because they behave like whites infact they have now taken on all the colonial patronising attidutes that would make even white americans squirm in embarrassment . do you know white americans also live in ghana ? but they are not the ones shouting at the natives.

  • so to me this is a particularly AMERICAN WAY OF DOING THINGS.. raging and expecting understanding . when you insult people and expect them to in turn be understanding its asking too much .. MANNERS MAKETH MAN ..this woman is RUDE its as simple as that she does nothing for the impression most have of americans who come to countries like ghana ..

  • affected by it.. when i see a south american or carribean come to africa to yell , rant and shout at africans then maybe i will see it differently but so far all i see is americans yelling and screaming at us in a rage most of us cannot understand ..

  • would not be yelling at the natives out there.. many of you dont understand just how rude you are seen to be when you engage in this type of behaviour. shouting at the natives instead of learning the language to at least speak to them, raging and ranting and spending the type of money most wont see in a lifetime doesnt garner any sympathy .. this is what we come up against in americans who REFUSE to see what is in front of them, you can rewrite history but remember you are not the only ones

  • 2007 you are disingenious ! lol now shove off and join that rude woman you have been defending for yrs and get a life. BOTH OF YOU ..

  • @aitan844 I can see how the black born in America would naturally have such high expectations of himself and easily become the stellar individual when America says, "Go back to Africa" and Africa says "Go back to America" What could there possibly be to overcome?

  • @TheTrinketGirl remember the american saying "go back to africa" is basically telling you to get lost , when the african says "have some manners when you come to africa and stop yelling and ranting " it then just becomes too much .. there is a lot of tension between the educated middle class ghanains and americans like this woman.. the woman is basically telling ghanaians to shut up and stop being themselves and they in turn IGNORE HER. so now what you have growing is a COLONY of blacks

  • @aitan844 I'm so annoyed that my teacher is completely distracted by these women who have NOTHING to do with those of us who desire to learn. HOW LONG will you rant and yell at me about OTHERS being ignorant? And why are you doing it?

  • @TheTrinketGirl stop DEFENDING THEIR BEHAVIOUR . its that simple. when you come to understand where i am coming from then you can get somewhere but so many of you defend them and that has been the basis of the problem.. recognise that there is room for improvement in attdutes here.. we dont want these type of AMERICANS to come spoil our show .. we dont want a new COLONY of white people with a tan to come and patronise us here.. they are wrong its that straight forward

  • Now shove , you and that DREADFUL WOMAN on the vid are from the same tribe, the tribe of IDIOTS .. who think "going to ghana" is doing anything for africans here.. you can only patronise certain types of people , not EVERYONE and that is why you will get knocked back for being RUDE and MANNERLESS .. and that is the END OF IT.

  • @aitan844 You are certifiable but full of useful information. I'm learning a lot by filtering through your rage. It is rather exhausting though. It's been a week since this rant so hopefully you've calmed down a bit. I DO know that the women in the video pissed you off in a major way. BUT you said yourself that there are some African Americans who have been able to acclimate themselves fairly well so there is hope. Please, let's not let those two women not ruin it for everyone.

  • @TheTrinketGirl so now am "certifiable " because i find those two women rude and idiotic ? why do you think africans have to put up with rude americans here? if someone comes to your home would you welcome them when they come to shout and rage at you ? i think those two women need an enema and need to go back to where they came from because they are not interested in the place they settled in its all about them not the people around them they might as well have moved to florida at least they

  • @aitan844 Certifiable with respect to your behavior. The amount of rage you are holding inside is off the meter. Listen as would a brother. Even still I'm learning.

  • @TheTrinketGirl why are americans so rude?

  • @TheTrinketGirl and what "behaviour" are you talking about here ? i dont tolerate rude people its not difficult to understand . but again when you defend it rather than deal with it it is very telling , obviously its something that americans feel they have "rights " to here.. something other diaspora dont .

  • @TheTrinketGirl you need to address the anger and rage you people have in america and how you deal with it in the african zietgiest.. coming to africa to scream at us is as effective as having a barbecue in a winter blizzard.. it has no impact it makes us keep our distance and causes a lot of resentment with the locals .. you also have to understand that we too travel, are educated and have access to anything any black has in the west and more.. lol

  • @aitan844 I've never been to Africa. I've never screamed at anyone. So I'm still wondering how long will you go on at me and others like me. Do all African Americans in Africa behave the way the women in the video did or is it a rare event. I'm sure that African people don't rant like you are doing. Or can I base my perception of Africans solely based on your actions?

  • @TheTrinketGirl so are you now telling me that americans dont rage like these two women are doing? i react to it and you are offended ? so are we supposed to be passive and accepting of rudeness here ? why ?

  • @aitan844 I'm starting to wonder if you have any desire for anything but this conflict.

  • @TheTrinketGirl i dont tolerate rudness

  • @aitan844 You are reacting to a situation that I was not personally involved in. But I'm the one you are raging at.

  • @TheTrinketGirl you called me "certifiable" you have to take responsiblity for that .. i react to what i read here i dont direct it ..

  • @aitan844 Yes I called you certifiable. Not to offend you but to express to you the level of your anger. It should not consume you to the point of not being able to notice the opportunity to effect positive change.

  • @TheTrinketGirl americans must lead this "positive change" because they are the ones coming into our territory so they must learn about the natives and learn a bit about the world they live in rather than bring their baggage and expect us to unload it for them.

  • @aitan844 And what when Africans come to America? It is odd to me that you don't believe in compromise but that may be cultural on my part,(or lack thereof) thinking that everything has to be about equality.

  • @TheTrinketGirl a lot of africans who come to america are insulted by african americans are made fun of or openly dispised for being africans .. we are resented because we come there unlike when you come to our countries you are treated well , we dont make fun of your names we welcome you but again what we get is a lot of this arrogant rudeness ..

  • obruni

  • rude woman who died and gave her permission to shout at the market women ? she needs to go and learn some manners ..

  • dont forget next time you are in ghana bring more of your ojoro money and spend it .. then go back for more, at least you are useful out there than you are in the usa ... lol

  • dont think i dont know that the account you are using is a troll one, and dont think i dont know the game you are playing lol, i can play that too but unlike some am not a coward who needs to hide his rage and envy in troll accounts and slobber over those who have no time for his raging lunacy ..lol now go and CAPSLOCK some more threats if you dare.. you know how they will end up dont you ? loser...

  • you and that unpaid bitach 2007noyoucaneverbeanafrican are always going to be tied to my apron strings, crying like babies , and doomed to excrete more smells than the lagos sewers lol now go and change your diapers on there again. since you cant find your way around yt without visiting the vlog .. see you there. NOT.. hahahaha

  • why indeed lol oloshi ni e ... o gbadun se.. lol

  • noir american am talking to you and you alone, YOU HAVE NO MANNERS , AND NO HOME TRAINING AND IT SHOWS it has been showing for the past four yrs and guess what everyone finds you irrelevant and boring and NOBODY GIVES A DAMN about your ridiculous diatribes, in your "mrs and mr" dull muckky muckduck channels either .. so come on and wail some more.. dufus... you are always good for some ENTERTAINMENT .its what you do SO WELL. fyi give us some TUPAC versus that should be good for a laugh! lol

  • stupid fool do you think i didnt know you follow me around like a lost and hurt pug dog ? what a loser.. lmao!!!

  • you dredged up some old forgotten trolling account to bleat and whine, well what do you know no surprise there BAD MANNERS will never get you anywhere and guess what nobody is giving you a crown here , nobody owes you jack now buzz off and go and find some FON to wail and slopper all over your defective ego status ..

  • i dont care if you dont like what i put out its the truth, and am not goint to suger coat it if you want saccarine go and eat some sweets.. now naff off i have no time for idiotic trolling noir american

  • whole heartedly , no middle ground .. so that situation of the woman yelling at the native in the market place just could never occur.. she would not be able to get away with such blatant rudenss ..ghanaians are quieter but doesnt mean they are not aware of what is going on .. they just wont hit back they will ignore you when you disrespect them..

  • florida for all the "connection " a lot of them are making here.. we have the largest settlement of black americans in africa located in NIGERIA believe it or not, and trust me they dont particularly stand out mainly because we also have access to travel, we have a large educated populace and there is no room for any type of patronage, you just cant do that type of nonsense with us so they tend to either live in isolated settlements where they keep to themselves or they intergrate with us.

  • the effort to learn the native language of which ever region they are in , know more about the culture they are in , learn a bit about the history of the area not sit back in some big mansion and wonder why they are left alone.. so what is now happening is that americans are settling in countries like the gambia and ghana but they are still nothing more than rich tourists living in luxury being served by poor natives and being looked on as foriengers with money .. might as well have gone to

  • who too come to intergrate not patronise us , again as i have said, when you are coming from a country like the states, you have to look at it the way a native who has not got money will look at it , they see an american with a lot of money , and who speaks a language they dont have a handle on .. in short they just see a foreigner and no amount of shouting and yelling and wailing is ever going to change that.. the change has to come from the american not the other way around they have to make

  • @aitan844 Why can't both change a bit?

  • @TheTrinketGirl why should africans change ? it is the american who needs to change her attidute and stop thinking anyone owes her something, it is her attidute that is annoying i would personally give her a piece of my mind . who does she think she is? no white american dare have that attidute its patronising

  • @aitan844 why shouldn't both share equal responsibility?

  • @TheTrinketGirl so the market woman is "responsible" for that womans rude manners ?how ?

  • be accepted you have to make the EFFORT .. most will not have that type of mindset since journeying to africa is either to go to the slave castles or to make money off africans in one enterprise or the other.. its a very isolationist attidute that comes straight from the states.. diaspora from south america who do sourjourn to africa are better equipped for the most part as they do have and idea of the cultures they come to intergrate not to patronise us.. same thing with some carribean people.

  • at TITILAYO OYINBO ., i have a number of vids of this young white american girl who went to nigeria to do a yr at the university of ibadan, which is located in western nigeria , i know the place well, but i went to the university of lagos we had foriegners who came to study there too.. notice how she approaches the market women, notice how eventually they accept her.. its an entirely different technique , one which a lot of black americans might like to look at and copy .. if you want to

  • beautiful scenery

  • then again you have to deal with the people on the ground who are not going to be interested in stories they want to see what they are going to gain ..

  • but i do fear that the problems that are now cropping up in countries like ghana were the tensions are now begining to surface are not going to go away .. already in smaller countries the restrictions on how much foriengers can own in terms of land and property are begining to come into play.. In Nigeria we have so much land not to mention the complexities attached to this land , buying land and dealing with it is enough to keep everyone but the most hardy souls away ....

  • ourselves , but this is far from the case, they assume we are "one" in the way that they understand it from their own history in america and they tend to simplify complexities that just dont touch on the geopolitics of the continent .. its a shame to say that white americans who do study the continent understand it a lot better because they actually study it rather than bring emotion to the table.. they take the time to learn to know what they are talking about first. dna is not enough

  • so, for those who want to learn great learn there is much to learn , but for those who think that the best way to deal with a situation is to attack the truth all you will get is a proper butt whooping when faced with the real thing., we dont soft peddle and we are blunt not all the times but we are blunt to tell those who are rude, insulting and patronising to us, and our cultures to rack off ... the mistake that americans tend to make is that they assume we must be followers rather than lead

  • @aitan844 Thats very understandable and I think that AAs should understand these points quite clearly. I think most of them want to be accepted as far off family members and some of them think that most Africans will not understand that they were taught a lot of misconceptions about Africa (which these misconceptions have been programmed in their minds for eons) I wouldn't blame it all on the Afrocentrics well not the teachers @ least.

  • @aitan844 I can recall a lecture where the late great Dr. Clarke touched on the mannerism of a part of Africa he visited (can't recall which country right now) and he explained, that our people in that particular part were about their business and the tudes that comes along with Western thinking was something that needed to be done away with.

Even in saying that though, I have to remember that not too many people have had the privilege of listening to this great man either.

  • @MedjayCommander i think you should watch the chris tucker vid where he went to promote the delta airline inaguration flight from atlanta to lagos, nigeria a couple of yrs ago, of course he is very funny and when he went back to his country what he had to say made me laugh! check it out.... here .com/watch?v=DPTJa434OOE

he is so right "are you chris tucker? give me your autograph and shut up " hahahaha that had me LOL so true!

  • @aitan844 So they are not aware of what is said, but most of them that come over for a visit will go straight to where slaves were stored and personally it would be the last place I would want to be, Number 1. is because of the knowledge that there were Africans along with Arabs that aided the European in the deed (anger would be there) then would be the fact the forts are still standing (anger would be there). But thats my sole opinion because most will feel differently.

  • @MedjayCommander you might be the exception to the rule here, this woman on the vid is very typical of the attidutes that many americans bring to the table and who steam roller their way with those attidutes and cant understand why they are just ignored in the end.. there are now tensions building up between people like this woman and the ghanaians themselves, many who object to being patronised and barracked the way she is doing in the market place.. please feel free to check out my page

  • rather simple minded fantasist "afro centrics" are busy peddling .. nobody is NOT WELCOMING , but nobody is a WALK OVER either .. we are not stupid , far from the case..

  • I AM BEING VERY BLUNT AND TOO THE POINT HERE. i am not cutting corners, trying to soft peddle my point nor am i going to cushion it in hyperbole and suberfuge because these are issues that are going to cause american settlers problems if they dont address them now.. we dont want another civil war in any african country like the liberian situation which was caused by the colonial mentality that american blacks brought to the table... its just not going to happen elsewhere no matter what some

  • being said by the ghanian in the office .. what he says about the waiter seeing people paying for one meal with what he will earn in one month is so true.. you cant elict sympathy or concern from those who are struggling to earn their living and who do not have any idea or interest in what you are wailing about when you come from a country which is rich and you come with FULL POCKETS OF MONEY TO BURN .. learn you will gain more if you do , if you dont well, we all know what happened in LIBERIA.

  • Americans really need to check the attidutes at the door and come in with an open mind and done some research , for those who want to come to look at the slave castles and weep thats okay but dont come with expectations that we are all going to join in with this catophony .. those coming in to do with come in with full pockets and will always been seen as rich tourists with money to burn .. the sympathy quotient is never going to match up , pls watch that journeyman vid and listen to what is

  • even with conditions attached to it, it means a lot .. we are tied to the land of our forefathers and we are tied to the land as africans make their living off that land and have done so since the dawn of time ...Americans can only have a sample of it but not the whole idea as its very different from the very materialistic set up in their own country, where there is no spiritual connection to the land the way it is with us ... its just a bit of dirt to you whereas its a whole lot more to us .

  • rudeness and arrogance to the table.. trust me, if i ever met her in real life i would hand her cards to her from a to z .. "manners maketh man"in her case it didnt .take her case, in the "african americans in ghana " vid and take other blacks who have done this journey with a far better frame of mind and much less money than she has, look at the difference.. the carribean man got land , trust me, we dont joke with land we dont give it out to strangers.. so if any african is offering you land

  • Again, blacks without borders is a glimpse to what can be achieved and if you watch all of the series it does tell people to come in with an educated aware attidute, not to assume africans are" dumb simple minded hottentots ", and to do their own RESEARCH before embarking on any project that includes examining the country they choose to explore and get as much information as possible if possible taking some language lessons to learn a few basics .. but not to do what this woman here did , bring

  • tolerate it. its not about "look at me i got money" that doesnt wash , its about bringing a good mindset to the table, and correcting bad habits learnt from a society that is not geared towards minorities... blacks are a sizeable minority with a lot of spending power, but who have not, so far, really achieved their full potential because the efforts are too concentrated in short term rather than long term advantage, hence the disregard for education and emphasis on monetary gain at all cost.

  • so many of them have this "we are going to teach the africans how to do things" mentality something they forget to do in the us where they need to start teaching these lessons closer to home instead of coming to teach us how to suck eggs .. why is it that other diaspora dont come accross with this type of "conquering" attidutes?. when i see this type of obnoxious behaviour , it reminds me of the "colonial masters" approach , one that recieves very short shrift indeed, educated africans wont

  • the way they see themselves.. its not about skin colour though its much deeper than that. Africa is a continent, african countries are connected by that continent but we are all different all complex and all individual in a way most americans cannot begin to grasp themselves as that isolationist attidute carries overseas with them when they are dealing with the outside world. I just wonder why it is that it is american blacks who have this bad attidute when they come to africa and why

  • who obviously live in some sort of BUBBLE where they are making the rules according to the "time of the month" they both sound MENOPAUSAL.. what the heck who died and gave them the right to be down right ignorant and rude to people who have no idea what the hell they are yelling about or care for that matter.

  • dreadful woman, but if you watch the whole original "african americans in ghana" by journeyman pictures you will see four portrayals the first two women need a good african koboko cos their attidute stinks.. very patronising and shouty , the last two people, the american woman and the west indian man were so nice and gentle and those are the types we really want in africa, they are prime examples of how it should be done and whatsmore they got a hell lot more out of it than those two women.

  • so, come in peace and dont leave in pieces, and that goes for those who have interest and those who dont.. if you dont dish it out you wont get it back.. its not rocket science.

  • enough already , we dont get that kind of rank attidute from other diaspora but americans have to be different.

  • @aitan844 why???

  • @LobsterPotsticker why what ?

  • @aitan844 can u read

  • @LobsterPotsticker cut the crap , read what ?

  • @aitan844 u retarded??

    I responded to your comment

  • @LobsterPotsticker your mother is retarded thats why she is always on MAURY POVICH LOOKING FOR YOUR DADDY WHO ISNT CHIEF FRIMPONG.. moron .. now naff off your dumb endless TROLLING ON THIS FAKE ACCOUNT IS BORING .. piss off .. your rage and envy of africans is all too apparent and your style remains the same 2007noyouwillneverbeacceptsospendyour money and go back home for more.. lol

  • and any american going around saying dumb things like "we will go where the spirit takes us and we will enter any country in africa " oh yeah? WITHOUT THE APPROPRIATE PAPERS .. i dont think so.. she needs to shut the hell up and sit her ass down here.. nobody is begging her.. so, if she objects to the way ANY COUNTRY celebrates their holidays there is always the airport and her one way ticket back to where she came from .nobody is going to miss that idiotic attidute.

  • @aitan844 people who move there obviously have to get citizenship there. you're assuming way too much

  • @LobsterPotsticker you are always going to be an obruni 2007 lol you have attidutes that come straight from the lagos sewers and smell even worse !!! LOL

  • @aitan844 wtf are you talking about???

  • come in peace and dont leave in pieces.. thats the motto here, but come with that mentality that " you africans owe us something" you just get your butt whooped big time.

  • You can only relate to those who relate to you , here clearly these people are new age "colonists" busy doing their own thing cos they have a bit of change in their pockets, which is fine, no problem with that, but they should not expect the natives to gather around the fire camp to listen to their endless bleating and wailing fests especially when its laced with the type of money they spend.. again when they are busy being SELF ABSORBED why would they even think to look around them ?

  • rightous posturing and insulting racist "you monkey baboon african" comments we get all the time, the more americans do this the more contempt i have. and the more we ignore them.. you cannot force people to like you or relate to you when you are busy speaking one language and ignoring the language that your audience speaks, here is the problem of the americans on here.. busy speaking about their COUNTRY while EXPECTING that africans should a, care, b, relate to it. WHY ?

  • there is a limit to the sympathy you can extend to those who milk it like a cow ..

  • they act like arrogant imperious colonial masters and expect to be taken seriously .. lol what a joke.

  • americans like that dreadful woman are rude and mannerless and are not welcome. why should we sit around and endure that kind of idiot paranoia here ? anyway she can only rant on those who would only look at her as a crazy shouting american thats all.

  • @vixxy02 Maybe youre right. After all Americas a bit cleaner.....

  • she looks ghanian she has a nose like my mother's

  • @dlfunky1 but her attidute is pure american .. check her shouting at a ghanian market woman on "african americans in ghana" where she screamed and shouted at a poor market woman for calling her "obruni" the woman just watched amazed and a bit bewildered . americans need to check their attidute at the airport when dealing with what is clearly out of their comfort zone.. the "proof of the pudding is in the eating" as they say ..
