This show used to be on the family channel 49 Long Island, NY station but back in 1992. I haven't seen this show since that time until now. As far as I know, this show is not on dvd. I wish it was.
I think the further in the show we go, the more and more I like Hank. He sure did grow form cute to hot!!! I also noticed in Season 5 that Stevie's not in some of the episodes. Of course, he was getting older and probably DID have his own life - may be why the show was canceled, as is often the case - because the kids are ready to move on.
The show could have gone on with Steve only being in a few episodes. The show is called Katts and Dog and Hank and Rudy are the focus. But it wouldn't be the same without Steve being there. I just love the relationship between Hank and Steve and Rudy. I wish they would release it on DVD.
So do I. I LOVE this show because of that relationship. They really did love each other, but they also fought like realy fathers and sons do. I could tell that Hank struggled with letting go, and was terrified when his nephew-turned-son was in danger. I think that's why I like the latter part of Season 1 through Season 5 the best. I wonder why the mother left the show. Maybe they wanted to establish a relationship between Hank and Stevie - more like a fatherly, protective one...

Rose surely had me fooled. At least she did right in the end. Hank's still missing something, his gun. I wouldn't have given it up in the first place. Real officers dont. I'd have said "I don't negotiate with criminals and I'm not giving up my gun again. If you shoot me you'll just be guilty of murdering a police officer. Would you're kids want that?" I like Hank's attitude again. He did his job and arrested Rose but you can tell he's going to try to do what he can to get her sentence reduced.

I remember another two episodes:
1) some kid was playing with fire and his father burned a body, blaming his son .. or something like that.
2) two supermodels kidnapped Stevie and tried to kill him.
it would be cool to see them again.
