  • Hitler was realy crazy

  • These are no "hopeless nazi-dreamers"-stories. These are enough facts about this monster, The middle-gun is extractet because the weight.

Crazy nazi-dreamers think about UFOs and other silly stuff....

  • come on guys, "Gneisenau" main battle turret - gneisenau had triple-turrets, not twin turrets, so i guess the rest of the story is equally fake as this entry. hopeless nazi-dreamers ....

  • there would have been no hiding this beast from the eyes of the air forces and mosquitos would find this a beautiful and easy target indeed. they would have all been knocked out pretty quick.

  • НИХРЕНА СЕБЕ ТАНЧИГ

  • If you can't beat it from land, bomb the fuck out of it from air. ;D

  • It's like Hitler's equivalent of the Death Star!!

  • HITLER KAPUT !!!

  • whats sad is that people still don't realize the effectiveness of naval ARTILLERY GUNS not tank cannons, this is a moving artillery base, not a battle tank and the bomber problem... check out the back of that monster all those AA would kill an entire squadron of bombers in a few seconds, but Thankfully the Germans of the time didn't have the fuel or time to make this monster. good video by dah way.

  • @Altec492 AA armament was only 8 20mm cannon and from 2 - 4 15mm machine cannon. This thing would have been dead fast from medium bombers at low level or fighter bombers like the Typhoon or Thunderbolt. Didn't stand a chance.

  • The final battle: Landkreuzer P. 1000 Ratte vs Chuck Norris.

  • эм че за ебизм

  • this needs to be a boss battle in some WW2 game

  • there is... in an open battle is where this tank would excel. assuming it has all the parameters needed to compete with enemy forces then yes this tank would serve its intended purpose in an open area battle.

  • "That's no bunker...."

    HAHA it has CAMO!

  • I think if this had been made it'd be a target of heavy bombing, but then it'd be kept as a support/arty.

  • aircraft is the bane of any tank, there are many ways to counter this, one way was to extend the range of the anti-aircraft guns to a range where the attacking aircraft weapons would not deal any major damage. Another way is to fortify the armour of the tank so that the aircraft's weapons would be made useless.

  • @TheLinuxteo

If they maybe could miniaturize the Wasserfall technology it would stand better against aircraft?

Imagine it having a guided rocket battery on the back.

  • Imperial Guard Baneblade, anyone?

  • ахринеть вот это заебись танк

  • I think, this monster is wellplaced at the eastern-front against Stalins troops. Endless wide open plains. Woods from horizont to horizont.

Only here the gun-range and the mobilitiy of this rolling fortress make sens. If...IF there are the romanian oilfields in german hands.

  • @haduwolff There is no place in REALITY where this tank makes any SENSE!

  • i would like to see this thing invading the welsh countryside! have you see how narrow our roads are between our steep hills?

  • Possible precursor to the Apocalypse tanks?

  • железный капут бля.

  • are these real pics of a prototype or something?

  • The Rat, unfortunatly, is a solution with no problem. Nothing the Allies possesed would justify a 2x8 inch armament, considering a tiger gun could knock out any allied tank. Fortifications are better attacked with artillery. Plus there would undoubtably be a 'Project TomCat' that would knock this thing out with 1 mosquito. Think about the logistical train. And this thing would wreck any road it travelled on. As for Kursk, this tank would carry at max 20 shells for its main armament. No worry.

  • this would have had so many mechanical problems.

  • but guys think about this What if hitler did producted die ratte how would the war be??

  • ja ja ist klar

  • I belive ,the main problem for this thing is the Engins. Moveing this thing is ..... + suporting it with fuel whoud be almost inposible .

  • @mowtow90

Yes, the support with fuel is it! But the engins? Slow running u-boat-dieselengines have enough power!

But the fuel..yes, thats the question.

  • i think the its not a fact if it would have worked or not just seeing the thing on the battlefield would make commanders think twice before going in plus the fear of the tank crews who would have to face it...so just like most german "super weapons" it was meant to scare more than anything

  • "Mammoth Tank assembled!"

  • There are people here that actually think this tank would work? *facepalm*

Overlooking the fact that the Germans couldn't even make the JadgTiger work (something about one 10th the size), this thing would be dead the moment the RAF found it.

  • @soundslave

The Jagdtiger works. In January 45 thea get new gearboxes, and then they work and do their job!

  • @haduwolff sheared bolts in the suspension were solved? Excessive fuel consumption was solved? Inability to handle thick mud or weak bridges was solved?

  • @soundslave it was a prototype and thats why no one knew if it even was able to work btw JagdTiger did work it was too expensive so it was re made to be able to be affordable but then it never worked

  • @soundslave The Jadg Tiger worked very well.

  • nicely painted models btw..

  • made out of paper???! nice work dude

  • Still can't believe those Panther Model F tanks were just mice compared to the Ratte...

  • Well, if there is one thing I hate to be, it would be the logistical/maintence officer for this deathtrap. Sure, you got heavy cannons, but good god, I can only imagine how painful it would be to load shells into the tank. Then there is the matter of repairing it and protecting it will all sorts of anti air. Then there is the matter of construction. I bet it would take at least half a year to produce this thing without the cannon.

  • soo, this illconieved monstrocity is basically a land battleship, ie would suffer from the same vulnerabilities as battlesips, the biggest of which is armour piercing bombs. this thing would probably get as much priority to be taken out as the Yamato, and the allies especially the russians would have thrown everything at it, providing it lasted more than 5 minutes successfully functioning, which i doubt it could.

  • Some of the most important questions I'd like to ask.

    1) Suppose this monstrous vehicle sheds a track or breaks down in battle? What then? What can the crew do? Repairing or towing a small vehicle under fire is hard enough.

    2) Due to the enormous size, slow speed, etc. it's just a question of time before enemy infantry starts climbing over the cruiser, placing explosives, etc. Can the crew inside just trust their armor? Having enemies sitting on your vehicle can panic even the best crew.

  • @monsterzeroJr i read about a tiger got stuck in sandy woods.crew had order to stay in until next morning until other tigers would come to pull him out.in night russians came, crawled around and on the tiger, crew still in there, staying silent....nthg happened..next day tiger got pulled out :P

  • @MrWilhelm76 Have you got a source i would like to read about this is sounds really interesting i done a very quick Google search but pulled up nothing :( Thanks

  • Wow, like a battleship on land, where can I buy?

  • ahahahhahahha.... yes toys fail.

  • Very nice model. I like to see the bigger P1500 "Monster" version armed with 800mm "Dora" gun. I did a story about it in one of the Luftwaffe:1946 comics series over a decade ago.

  • We should make a tank 3x as large as the ratte would have been, give it a nuclear reactor so the damn thing wouldent have to have a gasoline refinery hitched to the back, give it anti-air ground-to-air missiles so that it wouldent get fucked up by some $500 dummy bomb, and you would actually have an amazing conventional weapon.

  • see these then we well know why german lost the war? becuse they waste steel resources so much to make these shit!!

  • wow it is fake i didnt notice XD

  • The problem is, if it was ever really made, it would probably sink through the ground, and get stuck. The suspension would break the moment it started driving, the tiger II already had large suspension problems due to it's weight.

And when it got stuck in some random placer for the 12556855th time, allied airforce would have it as a snack.

  • @RoranHawkins

Hi, why should it sink through the ground??? The Panther had a groundpressure from 0,85 kg/cm² , and this is very good, better than the most modern tanks!

The MAUS will have a groundpressure 0,476kg/cm² (30mx7m=210m²) with 1000ts.

Maybe she is heavier, the groundpressure will not be more than Panther,Tiger & Co...

  • @haduwolff

Also, if the Ratte was supposed to sink, why haven't most buildings or large trains done that?

  • @13Psycho13 Because buldings are built in places that are suitable. Same as train rails. And you can't always choose your battlefield. Tigers were sinking in the Russian mud oftenly... True problem is that this kind of vehicle, wouldn't be useful in II World War maneuver battles, it can be easily targeted and disabled by airplanes. Also the resources needed to build it, could be used much better (producing normal tanks for example).

  • Comment removed

  • @RoranHawkins Not if the Germans really had control over the gravity.

  • @RoranHawkins Yes they will get it as a snack if it didn't have 8 FLAK GUNS

  • @kaloan999 That will not really matter a lot. Fighter-bombers with rockets will attack it in a fast dive-motion sweep, preferrably out of a cloud, all against the AA guns. And IF the 8 AA guns are enough, artillery will cripple it, not even mentioning carpet-bombing, which on a target that large probably would have been accurate enough.

  • @RoranHawkins i don't think official blueprints would have been made without calculating if the tank would break the suspension, but yeah, a totally impractical but badass idea.

  • Holy damn, nice job on the model.

Imagine this beast on the battlefield. Kaboom, frontline gone.

  • Absolut grandios!!!!!

    Amazing!!!!

  • The history Chanel called... they want their tank back.

  • Great Vid !

  • I will make one of those my home someday. Best RV ever.

  • building a modern day p1000- Armor= Dorchester Level 2 on all sides top & under = too 1000mm Rh vs ke and 1700mm vs He in RH. ERA on open area of that armor. electric engines 20khp, with a sub nuke reactor. Replace the 2x 280 mm with 2x 32-megajoule elector-magnetic rail guns 200 mile range. replace the 1x 128 mm KwK 44 L/55 8x 20 mm Flak38 2x 15 mm MG 151/15 with a patriot MIM-104F (PAC-3) missile system. 2x Phalanx CIWS on both sides of turret and 2xSeaRam off rear end.

  • @starknight97 4x corner trophy active kill system. then 2 boxes of NLOS-LS XM501 on top of turret total of 30. Make her a mobile command center with sat up link too target objects 200 miles away like the FCS was originally was meant too. She be almost unstoppable. you need Icbm or a hole fighter wing too kill her.

  • what happen when it appears on world of tanks?

  • @deathprize88 world of tanks teir 20 tank

  • @deathprize88 THen alex makes sure his P 1500 arty get built with the cannon dora a 800mm gun with 7 tons rounds it's start loaded and one shot the enemy team. when it hits the P 1000. Dora --> watch?v=xF8JhXJ8Aio&feature=player_embedded

  • @ Rachenwut no they wouldnt, allied planes would easilly destroy it and no mobility on certain places.....its a moving target

  • @KiPKayfanatic remember the p1000 had anti air cannons though so 100 would be enough. that with the Nazi airforce

  • i like those toys!

  • 100 of this tanks would destroy the whole soviet and allied army together!

  • the picture at 1:40 really stands out

  • I still see no point in putting battlecruiser guns on wheels

  • Great video -- but, in reality, why bother camouflaging it? Where the hell is it gonna hide???

  • @Bravo22G Even aircraft carriers and ships are camouflaged. A large target can still blend in if its being seen a long distance away.

  • Beautiful.

  • Its funny because air raids would decimate it easily.

  • men that is toys :)

  • woulda been so badazz

  • Good photo set, dude!

  • this Tank in France by D-Day. To fight again the Fleet

  • this is one terrifying tank O_O i bet this was so hard to kill for the allies

  • haha which funny guythought "hey,we need to spray it in camo!!" did he think that would be effective? or is it just a tanks-have-these-colours-thing :D

war sucks but watchin tanks is sick sometimes.. was this really built and why did i never hearabout this purely idiotic hitlereske-megalomaniac thing in history lessons.....

    somehow it is AT-AT like

  • @kotZe1337 haha yes you are right, its kinda like an at-at :P. No it was never build, that would be a ridicilous idea :)

  • the ratte rules ! they should still build one today

  • this is model lol fucking Deutsch

  • This is an interesting question. The Rat is an kind of moving heavy battery, nearly like the heavy railroad-guns.

The DORA was never attacked from air, the Anzio-Annies (2x28cm K5) Leopold and Robert where never attacked. The two guns firing into Huertgenwald, the guns in the Normandy...all of them where not attacked during firing.

They fired day and night without camo.

Carpet-bombing was not very effective on small targets. I see the danger in fighterbombers and their rocket-bombs...

  • @haduwolff the DORA was never attacked by air because it had a whole anti air regiment with it with 2 ground regiments for ground support with a squad of planes for air cover. that's why DORA never got hit by planes because planes were suicide against DORA.

  • @killer8479394

Thats right, the DORA was very god protected, but in fact, the russians never FOUND the gun.

They attacked a fake-gun made of wood and canvas, but they never found the real DORA.

Captured russians told later, that they thought, the massive blows are coming from planes...

  • @haduwolff Thank you for knowing the correct answer, so rare on YT.

  • The main problem was that it would be super vulnerable to Carpet Bombers

  • The guns oft this type can fire every 17 seconds! The turret is from the battlecruiser "Gneisenau" ...

  • it would take forever to reload the rats guns

  • If I saw one of these things coming at me I would shit myself and run. The weapons and armor on this beast could conquer almost any situation. That being said, this thing would have had serious problems. It couldn't cross bridges, it would tear up roads, it'd be even slower than the Tiger II, almost unmaneuverable in combat, and if you could take out its escorts and get in close you could destroy it with explosive charges from the inside, not to mention it would be a bomber's dream target.

  • Why bother even camouflaging it? You could probably see it from space!

  • @Finkie147 guess that was the point, to make the enemy shit their pants.

  • Hi,

the monster must not go into cities, these guns can fire on the point 24 km (sea).

Remember the terror of the 28cm grenades in Anzio (same calibre on railway). If there is one "rat" at Kursk, the situation will be very different.

    Thank your for your comment!

  • @haduwolff the picture is real?

  • if it was actually created it would have been devastating, but it would only be able to participate in field/desert warfare since it would have been too large too go into cities/towns.

    oh btw, first comment XP
