  • @cook4ian actually, redbull racing uses a version called rfactor pro. That's about as professional as it gets. I enjoy rfactor a lot more because of it's price. I don't care to spend all the money on tracks and cars when rfactor can't be too far off.

  • IRACING IS WAY BETTER THAN rFACTOR

    AND WILL ALWAYS BE BETTER!!

  • This is like saying what's better a lambo or a used 1992 rusted white bronco. Iraceing being the lambo the other well you get the point

  • iRacing looks better, and based on steering wheel movement in the video, drives better as well, but rFactor has dirt racing. so therefore, rFactor > iRacing.

  • iracing all day every day. im lovin the new ford v8 supercar and phillip island that was just released today.

  • dude they are both different... it depends on what type of game you want... what i mean is that in rfactor you can install different mods like oversteer mod which is a drift mod. In iracing you can only use the cars in the game BUT iracing has much more popularity and is a much better game in nascar and that types of races. If you like rally, drift, F1 got to rFactor. If you like nascar, road races go to iracing. I just think is not cool to pay 19$ per month but i think its worth it.

  • no he didn't. $30 would get a month of service and 2 tracks/cars. You get what you pay for.

Last I checked... Professionals don't use rFactor for practice

  • @cook4ian

Last time I checked, Professionals get paid to drive. YOU DON'T !

  • last time I checked people play racing SIMULATORS to SIMULATE the experience of racing. Iracing accomplishes that goal much better than rfactor.

  • @DonLduk last time i checked this is youtube who gives a shit

  • you forgot

    cars and tracks

  • @99boyz I still don't think there is a racing car you can buy/rent for $20-30 per month

  • @iRacerMatt

This is not a racing car. this a computer software and you are driving on your Pijamas.

  • lol rfactors las vegas looks like a low banked michigan. iRacing FTW!

  • @bakerskating88 id love to race iracing but to be honest there to expensive and my computer cant handle it

  • @jeffg24LT21 If you're a dedicated sim-racer, then it's not too expensive. You get what you pay for. And iRacing is constantly updating stuff. And the thing I like about it is racing against real drivers at any times of the day. It's well worth it if you're dedicated. If you just sim race maybe once a week or whatever, then it's not worth it. But if you spend more than 10 hours a week. Then it's well worth it to be honest. ;)

  • @bakerskating88 id be on it a hell of a lot more see im only 15 and live in the middle of no where so its hard for me to find a job

  • Iracing is not new. It uses a good junk of code from nascar racing 2003 season. And the tracks being compared here, iracing on the higher banked vegas, and tpscc on the old flatter vegas. And if i had the coin i would subscribe.

  • iracing is now $14 a month or $99 a year. rFactor is just another game.

  • for iracing you could get a real race car

Rfactor is free and is more fun cuz guys

    dont take it as seriously

  • @99boyz mind letting me know what race car you can get for $10 / month?

  • @99boyz rFactor is pretty good, BUT iRacing is meant for the purists that what to KNOW they are getting THE most genuine experience, this is the main reason people play it.

you can race on any track and know that EVERYTHING is exactly the same, right down to the tiny nicks in the road :-)

  • I agree that it is a better sim but I dont like that fact that once you sign up for 19-156 depending on what plan you go with. Also to download and find out that if you want any good cars they cost 15 dollars and if you want different tracks they cost 20 dollars. Rfactor is good for what it is and he fact that you can add what ever you like makes it etter IMOP.

  • There's a deal for 1 month for $5. Code is PR-GAMESPOT. They also have 3 months for $25

  • @iRacerMatt iRacing would be 10x as popular as it is if they would cut their prices down.

To get all the NASCAR content is around $250 not including the monthly fee you're going to be paying.

If you want to get all the content in the game, look to spend around $400.

And this is for a FREAKING GAME. David Kraemer has ruined sim racing.

  • @b00mYou He didnt ruin sim racing its been terrible for years. Sub-standard releases and nothing new for years has made it stale and have to say after being a sim racer since the early/mid 90's it was the least interested ive been in it. Yea you have to pay for it, and yea you get what you pay for. They constantly update it and the new tyre model will be interesting when it comes out in a few weeks. Its not for everyone but its as close as you'll get to real racing without actually racing.

  • What people fail to realize is that rFactor's engine isn't made to tailor to stock car racing. Therefor, creating an ultra-realistic mod already is behind the eight ball. iRacing has the money and talent to get 100% stock car racing. Thus making it better for each independant mod. rFactor is great for open wheel and some touring...but stock car, give me iRacing.

  • Didn't stop The Sim Factory from making Arca Sim and selling it. Haha

  • Well they were able to put forth the effort that modders can't. Most modders don't have the coin TSF has lol. ARCA is good, but it still far from being as good as it could be.

  • It's kind of pointless to compare the two. iRacing has spent mega bucks on their simulation and its great especially the laser scanned tracks. Also, iRacing is fairly new give it a few years and there will be nothing like it.

  • Iracing wins by a country mile

  • The new COT panel is awesome!

  • iRacing is the only thing you need..

  • iracing is the shizzznit ... love it

  • Only in this mod, I want to see the compare whit f sone or F1- CTDP 06 mod vs wherever you want, to see who is the king of the hill

  • it will stil be iracing because the tracks blow you away

  • And how mucho do you pay a month?

Another thing is rFactor is "old simulator", wait to see rFactor 2, because its on the way...

  • $13, very much worth it. I do more races in 3 months than I did in rFactor over 3-4 years.

  • ok, I belive you but, 3 or 4 years ago, rFactor did not exist, came out in Nov 2007.

Sorry, but $ 13 is not all you have to pay, remember you have to pay for tracks, mods, etc.

  • I will probably buy rFactor 2 as well but I'm not going to sit around and wait for it, I'll be iRacing until then :)

  • "rFactor did not exist, came out in Nov 2007."

Sorry, that sentence made me laugh. rFactor came out in 2005. Even though it is an outdated Simulation, iRacing will be, and remain, THE best simulation possible. It gets updated every 12 weeks, has actual engineering making it better, real data and CAD infomation, and where else can you race real NASCAR drivers side by side? iRacing is the only one.

  • I page 2 months and I regretted, is almost the same as rFactor but here you have to be paying for everything at every moment, because it is theft of the same level as rFactor, in fact the graphics engine I was not surprised at iracing Absolutely.

iracing is very expensive and offers less than the rFactor is my opinion after trying greetings

  • rFactor was released August 31st, 2005

  • yea i payy 156 dollars each year.. but it depends on what point of view your looking at it from, if you can affoard it, its the better sim, hands down, i look for realism in a sim, and rfactor 2 still wont be as good as iracing in terms of realism

  • its not even close. iRacing RULES.

  • hell iracing no doubt
