@KoRnL0VeR just have fun. the guest sometimes will give u hard time, even to try and get free stuff, but hold your ground. AMC is my first job and i think its the best first job you can start off with. teaches you a lot, i will be at my one year next month and im als fillind out for the OC (supervisor) postion in my market, there is my theater and another theater hiring... so yeah! just have fun! Congrats!

LOL AMC will be so out of business in ten to twenty years. Movie theatres will end up just like the drive-inn. Movie theatres won't survive because they treat their employees like crap. Don't work at a movie theatre. You get no overtime pay and will usually never get paid more than 8 dollars an hour EVEN IF YOU DO MAKE ASSISSTANT MANAGER.

ive been working at an AMc for going on 9 months now. trained at an old building and was part of a fresh hired crew for a new building built just for us. in 3 months i went from fresh hire to blue shirt, and im gonna tell u, the last 6 months have not been fun. as a blue shirt u have no real power to make people do your bidding but u also make friends with management and regular crew alike, prolly gonna get Oc in the next month or so, so im just holding in long enough to see if that works

Hmmm...AMC is so utilitarian-looking....I work at a luxury cinema called 'Warren' and it's all decked out in the marble and cushy seats and THX.....but the problem with working in such a nice theater is the management is so strict....we can't do fun things like make videos and stuff...management writes us up....

I remember the only time I was at an AMC theater (when it was a General Cinema) was when I saw Aladdin. There were about 3 AMCs in the town my sister goes to college at. One got torn down, then the other AMC at the Galleria Mall became a Regal Cinema (the Hoyts theater at Greece Mall suffered the same fate as well).
