Hey !! Screw you , that's my niece the vid opens up on !!! I'd say they are lucky to have her !! She was there for the beginning and still supports them . Because her and her friend had their name written all over them the news did a bit that I'm sure helped get The Enemy's name out . I live in the States and she sent me a CD , they are really good and it's awesome they are from Coventry !! Quit hating , poncey my ass !! They sure don't deserve fans like YOU !
That wuld make sense if Oasis and Stone Roses were indie,in the early days yeah Oasis were an indie band but when they released Morning Glory that defined them as a great ROCK band.Where as the Stone Roses are a Madchester band in many ways.
What the hell is this "band"? Just another bunch of gimps with fashionable "the seventies is back in" haircuts singing in a northern accent. Just like every other new cock rock indy band, with their monotonous, gimmicky, souless sounds. What happened to real indy?
In terms of indy music, the Stone Roses, and Oasis. Basically any band where the members are actually musicians. Musicians that write songs with emotion and meaning, not just a bundle of words and notes sufficient to satisfy a trendy demographic. If you notice when he changes chords on the guitar, he has to look down at the neck. Basically they're complete amateurs that got lucky. In the right place at the right time.
musicians like liam gallagher, who sings in a whiney voice and occasionaly shakes a tambourine? I think Oasis are one of the greatest bands of the 90s but there's no need to arse lick them so much, and automatically hate any band that might sound a bit like them.
Jimboy, welcome to the music business. It's rarely the technically best musicians that make it, same with most businesses. It's all about hitting that spot with the right demographic at the right time. Eventually the rest will follow. They've hit that spot. Fair play to them.
their guardian lounge performance was immense! i was right at the front, (with the blue hat!)and it was so good!Stuck around afterwards for the acoustic set by Tom as well. Even got a pic with them all and a chat! :D

I look at my guitar when I play. There's nothing ametuer about me. It's called being careful.
Top band this lot - in it for the right reasons, not just just to seem cleverer than everyone else......

haha, plenty of amazing guitarists look at the guitar neck while playing, doesnt mean they are not good guitarists.
Im not saying that means they are good musically or not..but you sir are a dick!!
