george carlin was funny, and insightful when I was 18. kinda like farting sounds were funny when I was 10. Lotsa people figure out that the madison avenue version of life is a big fat incarcerating lie. Very few realize the whole lie, that life in these united land of the free home of the brave states, is a big fat lie.
The lie of life is covered up by LOTS of lies designed to keep the madison ave lie disenfranchised people, from seeing The Light.
interesting how u use brad pitt quote, seeing as he is fulfilling his dream and is a movie god.. yet i guess u look at pics of him, and indeed he doesn't look pissed off, he looks happy ; )
its harder to look to others and blame them for failing, u don't have to eat junk food, its not like its sold as healthy.. ppl r informed of all the risks. u can look to those more wealthy than yourself and feel envy.. or to the 3rd world and think u r lucky.. u can educate yourself with our evolving tools...
Let's face it, advertisement companies are trying to get you to part with your hard-earned dollar to buy garbage you don't need, sure, but nobody held a gun to your head and made you buy it (except for auto insurance - where I live, the state law mandates you have it).
This clip reminds me of the "Rich Dad Poor Dad" book series by Robert Kiyosaki, where Kiyosaki talks about how his 'poor dad' (his biological father) taught him to get an education so he could get a job and have job security and work (for someone else) for a living (and thereby making someone else rich).
@ssrrapper I think Larry Winget (who is the author of "You're Broke Because You Want To Be: How To Stop Getting By And Start Getting Ahead") would disagree with part of this clip, because you're blaming others (big business, the government) for the way people live and rack up huge debt. Winget would argue that if you're deep in debt in order to live the American dream and achieve some kind of status (3:32-3:38), then that's your own fault. No one else's.
@ssrrapper I agree that self responsibility is important, and that many people would rather be lazy and point fingers than actually change themselves, but it doesn't alter the fact that children are psychologically under attack by other interests way before they are able to start really thinking about their place in the world. We are lied to and manipulated from womb to tomb. But at the same time we allow it because the alternative is facing a lot of uncomfortable concepts.
When the corporate/military industrial complex began controlling our world, their greed essentially destroyed the health of the earth and all living things. This resulted in even more bad, negative decisions & a complete break-down of morals and ethics. The vicious cycle was created by greed.. Chemicals & radiation inundate earth & people. The leaders made really bad decisions, the process continues, and life eventually ends on Planet Earth. We face a slow but certain end. Lip-smacking greed!
The destruction of society began with greed of the corporate/military industrial complex. Today our earth is very sick and the people on it reflect the sickness with poor health and poor decisions. What we think is selfishness is actually a physical result from deluging our world with nuclear & chemicals. All are affected. Those in charge make poor decisions due to this vicious cycle. We face the end of life as we know it on Planet Earth for these very reasons. The greed of man destroyed us.
Stephen Harper is a Fine Upstanding Canadian who would NEVER Do anything to Harm The 60% Majority of people who did Not Vote for him in the last Federal Election. ... and if you believe that.....hahahaha, It's BULLSHIT !
Very eye opening love it. I hope I can fully wake up, but its is hard to when you have lived your hole live in fake matrix. Our lives hve been need drained of its true potential, very sad.
