i sustained a brain injury in the right temporal lobe damaging the right side of the hippocampus. I find my memory is still fair but it does let me down from time to time. But i can remember where i've been without easily getting lost(most of the time at least) :)
for some reason i feel attracted to him. but on another note. are there other ways to get damage to the hippocampus. over the past 6 months i have noticed changes which could be related. i somehow get lost and can't remember recent things as well as i used to. i used to have a pretty good sence of direction, now though if i take a turn down a ''shortcut'' i get lost and wonder where the hell i am. i used to be able to figure out the right direction. it's getting worse over time. i'm nearly 17.

as a person who has had most of the left hippocampus removed, i can attest to it DEFINITELY affecting the memory
Totally sucks. I'm currently waiting on Theodore Berger of University of South Central(that is obviously a joke...its really Uni of Southern Cali)..
