When my Eskie was a pup, the cutest thing he ever did was steal a newspaper from my mom and go running with it. It flew over his face and he ran right into the wall. Too bad I wasn't filming at the moment. He nips at dogs when he wants to play too but they get just as irritated with him as your cat does.
Haha very cute. Just one thing. I hate being "that guy" but American Eskimo Dogs are descendents of German Spitz, but not completely the same. A bit of traits have been bred into them in America. Thats why these are called "American" (also because we didn't want the name German in a dog breed because it was during WWI haha)
@CowboyDemon I know. :) Yet, many people still call 'em by their... surname. But, when it comes down to it... The Americans just line bred specific white German Spitz & then gave the "new" breed a patriotic name. A Freedom fry & French fry thing.

@Saxopenguin no no hahahahaha noooooooooooo hahahahahahahahaha nope nope nope mine bit the piss out me when he was little you have to really take care of it and train it well
@Saxopenguin Very easily. Super quick learners. But, socializing them proves to be a bit more difficult than with other breeds. They *need* to be out in the world around new things & new people as much as possible as puppies, or they'll likely end up yappy as all hell as adults.
@omgitsalauren She was actually trying to MOUNT the cat. Haha. You know, to hump her/dominate her. She still does it til this day. And only with this cat.
I just lost my eskimo spitz, Polar, in July. He was 17 years old and was the love of my llife. I remember when he was that little. Thank you for a great video.
@marneygirl629 sorry about your loss.... I have one German Spitz and I really hope he lives that long.... Can't see him die or anything.... he is like my baby <3
I've just seen the cutest dog in my entire life, I hope it's immortal.

american eskimos and german spitz are two different breeds.
lspicher89 5 months ago
@lspicher89 American Eskimos are of the German Spitz breed. American nationalism + line breeding of white German Spitz = American Eskimo.
