@Inuyashafreak9494 It is a great board for cruising, carving, boardwalikin and some longboard tricks as well. It is certainly slide-able, but is not a tech-slide board.
I recommend it...to beginners and experienced boarders...lots of fun!
Burners, drifters or Hi-Grades are rad for wheels! Hi-Grades will roll over anything, and Burners and Drifters slide very nice. Drifters are, of course, like butter on the pavement... break away with very little resistence!
PM me if you have specific questions, the more I know about your riding style, the more I can help.
@milkmoney35 Carve wide in the opposite direction you wish to 180 slide, put your weight on the front foot, just behind the bolts, in a crouched position let your ffront hand graze the concrete as you put more weight to the front, leaning into the hill and pushing your back foot into the slide. Should be almost effortless, as though the board just wants it to happen and take you along for a ride. Practice on a nice wide culdasak as you see in my 360 slide Kalai vid.
@kevseadog i got the Venom bushing for the tracker fast track 180 .....but now i notice the bushing is different size from stock bushing to Venom..lol
@TheTrainingWheels I love the 47. It has great flex, I mean you really can get into those carves and turns with it, and I weigh 190 lbs as well. As for ease of sliding, I can pull 360 slides on it, and 180 slides are a synch, but it is not a "tech slide board". It is tons of fun!
Im thinking about getting this board but cant decide between the 42 in and 47 in ,Any segestions and also would amazon be the best place to get this board?
@zigzax123 I have not tried the minicarve yet, but I love the hypercarve. I would say it depends on your style. I like a longer board to really walk the plank. Check the Gravity website for prices, I don't know if it'll be less to go through Amazon or not. This board is a blast.
I had my Gravity Hypercarve set up with Randal Downhill Trucks, Gravity Bearings, and alternated between Drifters and Hi Grades for wheels. The Hi Grades Bomb like a bat out of hell, and the drifters slide like butter!
Is this board good for a beginner? I just plan on cruising for the most part and maybe some sliding

Keep up the good work.

@kevseadog Right on! I noticed you have some craft videos posted. Very cool.
Hope you keep posting skate videos. The Brad Edwards video is so sick and the ditch video is great.

2 Questions that could break my choice between the 47" or the 42"
#1 Is it easy to do slides? Like 180's Etc?
#2 Is what do you think that the Flex is like? Because im around 190 Pounds and im debating on the flex for it :(
B-Day is in 2 months and I get a board choice and im looking into Gravity :D
Thanks ~

Is it better to get 150s or 180s? I like to carve and maintain speeds on hills and cross step. Lots of people tell me 150s are unstable though.
thegeraldsd 1 year ago
@thegeraldsd definitely get 150's. That is the size that the wheel cut outs were designed for.

was this board big enough to do nice cross steps or am i better of getting the ED 55?

@mattja94 Oh yeah, it is a sure cross stepper. I wish I had gotten more boardwalking in the vid.
Peace
