OK. Now I know why I like it so much. It's Bethany from Best Coast. I guess they're screwed when people come to see them live (since this is probably the song everyone knows).
@MoltenMustafa I know that feeling when i hear this! I think it's just one of those classic late 90's rock music teenagers in american movies used to listen to. Thats my best quess.
Just heard this on Radcliffe and Maconie. Can't believe I missed it during the year. Could be right out of the early-mid 90s - the most underrated era for British pop I reckon.

Possibly my favourite goddam pop song at the moment. Perfect! Very Transmission Vamp-ish....very Sleeper-ish....very Kirsty McColl-ish! Live at the Cockpit, Leeds, this Friday 18th Feb!
@davymgaunt Ha, I'm trying to get my friends interested for when they come over to Dublin. We're cheap by principle, but it'll be worth getting the lot of them going, have a real bloody group activity!
@TOUGHEYES Sadly couldn't make the Leeds gig last night due to lack of funds. However, I would wholeheartedly recommend you catch them in Dublin. It will be a life changing experience! I saw them years ago when they brought out their first cd and they were phenomenal!
@davymgaunt Well not tunes "I Can´t Imagine The World Without Me", "Insomniac", "King Of The Kerb" and "Dar Therapy". Check them out! Most of all though is this tune "Buy Nothing Day" like a perfect mix between britclassics with the band Lush like "500" and "Single Girl"! Simply wonderful in other words!
Had this stuck on repeat since I saw them live last week, they were absolutley amazing. You could even hear the glockenspiel on this track their sound was so good! Why aren't this band huge?! I think the images in this are from Girl on a Motorcycle, back when Marrianne Faithfull was hot. Someone use this on a bloody mobile phone advert or something, they'll get recognized then!
@Embrace731 Yeah, it does sound like early My Bloody Valentine/Primitives. '500' by Lush is a classic song. Also reminds me slightly of 'Twisterella' by Ride too, albeit with a girl singer. Hey, you didn't mention Sleeper. Prob 'cos they were crap, so fair play to you.
@richievegas01 HaHa True every word! Lush "500" is a wonderful classic! Sleeper sucked! The Auters were very underestimated! Cheers from Stockholm Sweden!
@davymgaunt Well not tunes like "I Can´t Imagine The World Without Me", "Insomniac", "King Of The Kerb" and "Dark Therapy". Check them out! God bless Shazam. Was just in HMV and heard this on the radio. Thought "This sounds like The Go! Team... but it can't be cos they got really crap after Thunder Lightning Strike." Shazamed it only to find out it WAS them and find my new favourite song. Awesome stuff. Love this track in a big way!
Nothing came today nothing will tommorow, noone told the system cause their world was out of bounds. Action is a strategy, theres just no getting round.

Best track I've heard in 10-15 years. This is #6 on my all-time top1000 singles list. Running out of love, running out of money. running for the subway isnt gonna make it go. Wont start revolutions but were giving it a whirl.
But i would never lose my head tonight and i will never lose my head tonight.

Dont plan it all, cause making it up is so natural. Dont know for sure but this is the law that will never come back into light.

All coming back, cant stop the moment, circle the track, will never come back into light.
