  • Great song, great version.

  • @fisheatsteel it could remind me of hendriz but not that much

  • is it just me or does his vocals sound a lot like jimmie hendrix?

  • @fisheatsteel Hendrix was inspired by him and a lot of other delta bluesmen. He actually did a cover of this song.

  • @fisheatsteel yes in red house

  • I dont speak so much english but listen : i dont get why people beaf on youtube. Seriously, listen to the music and shut the fuck up.

  • @worldeska dude...for a guy that dont speak much english u make a good point...evevryone always talk alot crap whether its racist or a different music group

  • @worldeska I hearya brother,,, my comment as well

  • @MrGeorgeda123 and @student908065 you're both idiots. Enjoy the music and stop slinging stereoptypes at each other. You're both sorry-ass poor southerners. See there's a taste of your own shit medicine. No wonder we beat your ass in the Civil War, does the heat down there kill brain cells?

  • @EmeraldTriangle80

    1. the man you're listening to is a southerner born in Mississippi.

    2. Even though the south lost the war due to bad planning, the south won the majority of the battles during the war so yankees didnt whoop any ass. in fact 1 in every 4 union soldiers was killed or wounded during the war.

    3. there were 1,000,000 union soldiers to 600,000 CSA, even though the south was nearly out numbered 2-1 the war lasted 4 years and the yanks didnt gain control until the end

    4. fuck you

  • @EmeraldTriangle80 Amen!!! Everyone chill out. The Civil War ended ages ago. Let's move on! By the way, this is why my dad's side of the family left the South! Yankee pride ;-)

  • nigger

  • @cjadams1000 I agree.

  • @cjadams1000 faggot

  • @cjadams1000 Man has more rythm in his little pinkie than you probably have in your entire household. Don't be hatin'.

  • @Ithilaraina BURNNNNNNNnnnnnn

  • there is cracker piece shit named student 908065 evidently live in sticks is honkey bitch and i know were you live cracker prey i dont get you honkeys hair smell like dogs go suck dick white bitch

  • ggg

  • Fantastic stuff!! Realer than real!! Joey Vaughan "World Blues Attack"

  • I straight out tell people I don't like Elvis or The Beatles. I tell'em this is where my music originates.

  • An all time favourite!

  • If you listen you can hear where Hendrix got some of his licks from

    "If 6 were 9"

  • Some really strange comments here, but this is definitely Willie Dixon's 'Hoochie Coochie Man' from the first line: "Gypsy woman told my mama while before I was born, Got a boy child comin' mama, he'll be a son of a gun".

I'm more intrested in the version/date and other players. It sounds as if it could be from Electric Mud and the overall sound is similar to 'Mannish Boy' on that album, especially the bass. Can anyone confirm the version?

  • This version of hoochie coochie man, sounded hot from the start, and some amps had to blow up during that recording session playing them dam good BLUES!!!!

  • Ahh you guys are just being lame. Don't get me wrong, I love the blues but rap and hip-hop and techno aren't bad. I will say that MOST are bad. But I am talking about early rap, hip-hop, and techno. I don't really care for POP, which is really what you guys are talking about.

But again, if anyone wants to tell me that they hate 2pac, bigge, Daft Punk, Justice and other artist then tell me and we can exchange words.

  • @Midironica Daft punk sucks.

  • @TensionNJHC AHHHH....BLASPHEMY!!. You denounce the holy trinity of house techno.

    Daft Punk- The Father

    Justice- The Son

    deadmau5- The Holy Ghost

To dislike the father is to dislike the whole body.

Secondly, please make some music better than Daft Punks and then you can tell me they suck. Please do it because that would be awesome. Just mail your tracks to my channel when your done ok.

  • @Midironica lol.

How sweet... have you ever heard the name Jean Michel Jarre? Or about the term krautrock. That's where it all began while Kraftwerk were still shitin' in diapers.

  • @Midironica What about Tiesto and Armin van Buuren?

  • @ThisisTedWells : why man, where did blues ever go?

  • Maybe just listen. Pretty good shit all by itself. Yes?

  • man oh man hearing this makes me realize just how unoriginal jummiy page's solos were

  • what does hoochie coochie means?

  • This ish is fire!

  • rock had a father named blues, blues had 2 grandchildren named heavy metal and scremo, heavy metal had a son called hip hop but out of them all hip hop was the most retated

  • the only thing that would make the legalization of marijuana better is if blues made a big comeback

  • hoochie coochie definition: a drunken woman's genitals.

  • A beer and a reefer is what I want right now!!!

  • "if you don't know the blues, don't even think about picking up a guitar and try to place rock and roll music or any kind of popular music for that matter." keith richards

  • This sold me the album, Electric Mud.

  • This is horrible music , worst ive ever heard

  • @tage3x and which one is good enough for you??

  • @tage3x and what would you consider good music?

  • @tage3x

    bye bye!

  • Americans invented the blues, UK groups such as Fleetwood Mac, Rolling Stones, Led Zepplin, Jeffro tull etc reinvented it and sold it back to the USA. Where is the justice?

  • @MYLIFEISIRONMAIDEN

BLACK Americans invented the Blues and Europeans and other whites copied it and made money off the labor of oppressed people. Of course, they never compensated them for their creative efforts.....capitalism and exploitation.

  • @grossda410 You are so full of it,,if not for CAPITALISM and someone wanting to make a buck none of these people would have ever been DISCOVERED. Someone wanting to make a buck saw in the talent of all these artist a way to make a buck and in turn make them a buck,,Dumass THAT'S CAPITALISM. Did you go to school ?

  • nothing better for a ride

  • all i can say to the drummer is that you are my hero! epic groove. Bass and guitar have great licks as always.

  • Muddy Waters Invented Electricity

    Fact!

  • nicely rolled blunt on the video art, yes!,

  • @SenorPackABowl oh wait its a black and mild my bad...

  • Proof that true art only comes from suffering and depression.

    Blues rules.

  • Oh Man!! I'm The Hoochie Coochie Man!! Everybody Knows I'm Here!! :)

  • The sickness. This KICKS ASS :))

  • Dis guy must be a alien or sutin!

  • Blues songs like this really stand the test of time. As long as greats like Muddy continue to pass the torch, the blues will live on!

  • what album is this from? who's the guitarist? this is one bad jam, really dig the funk.

  • @cowbelltell This might be Electric Mud, and album he recorded with Jimi Hendrix. Check it out!

  • @liz1rich Not Hendrix. Pete Cosey

  • hey baby :)

  • rock and roll has a retarded cousin named hip hop

  • @JAMIE6JOJO And an awesome brother called blues!

  • @JAMIE6JOJO apart from muddy waters has never been rock and roll ?. Its called blues mate.

  • @93cjf Rock and roll's daddy is blues- really no biggy mate ;) ps: It's momma is country.

  • @JAMIE6JOJO hip hop is offspring of funk, jazz, blues, rock n roll and reggae...

  • @JAMIE6JOJO -.- all hip hop doesnt suck.

  • @JAMIE6JOJO and (C)RAP

  • @JAMIE6JOJO and it's retarded second cousin is (C)RAP. Those cousins RUINED Rock & Roll.

  • @THEMOJOMANsince1959 Im not sure bout all this convo....but...I can say one thing....People need to take their horseblinders off.

  • @JAMIE6JOJO real hiphop music got as much if not more soul and musicality than rock n roll.

  • @jonnyfitz6618 yes because going to the club women with big asses buying 3,000 dollar shoes bragging about how much shit u have even though the listener isnt totally aware that he has none of this shit but he goes out and buys another album so he can hear and dance to another person drag on and on about useless shit that doesnt really matter

    .......but its kool....cause thats soul....right?

  • @sgtpepper19100 you may not be aware, but i was referring ''real'' hiphop, not the record company based "rap" music that most youth are aware of today which is merchandised and sold like cheap crap(ie lil wayne, young money all that sold out nonsense).the real hiphop i am refering to is pre mainstream, when it was about the people,it had a message, like most black music it came from pain,so it hits the soul because its real.im talking about Nas,Public enemy,Guru (rip) de la soul.read up your history

  • @jonnyfitz6618 lol nas

  • @jonnyfitz6618 if you want "real" hiphop you have to go way further back then nas, public enemy, and Guru soooo read up on your history

  • @JAMIE6JOJO you dont know what youre talking about

  • @JAMIE6JOJO Sorry not even good enough to be a cousin.

  • @JAMIE6JOJO This is the Blues kid, not Rock and Roll. Rock and Roll is the little red-headed bastard down the street that liked to steal cause it had no home-training. This was all while the Blues was teaching its son Hip hop how to raise hell...

  • @JAMIE6JOJO Hip hop is not a retarded kind of music. hip hop took his roots from blues as rock n' roll did. Like hip hop degenerated in "homo fake gansgta rap" rock n' roll ended up in "goth metal" and other creepy emo band. Sorry for my bad english but I'm italian!

  • @lilcarmichael No excuse!

  • @JAMIE6JOJO I believe you, the forty seven people who gave a thumbs up to your comment and thousands of others simply don't understand hip hop.

  • my fingers were itchin to slap the shit out of this song...... bass pride!!!!

  • And Joe Perry had a baby and named him Adrian.

  • Comment removed

  • Sure wish blues would make a come back...

  • @ThisisTedWells Don't call it a comeback, it's been here for YEARS!

  • @ThisisTedWells We have B.B. King as a model,i'm guessing blues ain't dead yet after all :)

  • @theprisoner3 Blues is def. not dead... check out Gary Clark Jr. a fresh breath into the blues industry

  • @ThisisTedWells Its never left:)

  • @ThisisTedWells Have you heard the Black Keys?

  • @angelcakebby24 Aha, good point

  • @ThisisTedWells Let's just hope Blues comes back and more bands make good music instead of that techno and rapping stuff

  • @angelcakebby24 and @ThisisTedWells: There are still blues bands out there. Ben Harper, Robert Cray, Keb Moe, Johnny Lang, Kenny Wayne Shepard...plus local cover bands in at least some of the clubs. Look around and you will find them.

  • @nj83833 thanks man. I will look into it.

  • @ThisisTedWells Its coming! Just wait

  • you damn right!!!

  • Great song, Sort of reminds me of Fuck You Blues by The Electric Flamingos

  • he's so adorable.

  • @taddprice I dunno, ask your mom, she has her mouth on a black guys instrument every night.

  • @Bodogjoe Easy. That's disrespectful. Respect the music assholes. Bitches.

  • @Dactuck Ha!

  • @taddprice YOUR MOM INVENTED THE ONLY MUSICAL INSTRUMENT YOUR FAMILY EVER KNEW...THE MOUTH ORGAN..OR AS YOU LIKE TO CALL IT THE ...SKIN FLUTE..

  • @taddprice racists

  • I'm gonna mess with you...

  • The bass-player is the great Willie Dixon, the writer of the song.

  • ...The bass line on this one is to die for....I mean so many genres just spring outta this one it's like scary...this guy started it all for me...!!!!

  • Muddy Waters is so fuckin badass!!!

  • i wonder if the army would agree to dropping the six people who disliked this song into mogadishu...

  • The true King or Rock

  • rip willie

  • GOT DAMN!!!!!!!!!!

  • Muddy Waters, everybody know he is here. A black cat moan...

  • I KNEW THAT SOMETHING GOOD WILL HAPPEN TO ME TODAY ..... WHAT A GOOD MUSIC !!! I DIDNT KNOW ABOUT THIS SINGER !

  • Africans brought over as slaves are the roots of most of our american music.

  • @SickSavior don't forget sport heart soul and food

    they're the best

  • The only white groups who actually credited black men were the british ones. Its sad that even in your own country you dont get respect. My papa is from Mississippi like alot of black guys in the 30s, and 20s always talks about the blues.

  • I can't find this wersion whit that start, where you found?

  • more gin & grapefriut PLEASE!

  • Led Zeppelin Is just one band of thousands that were influenced by old school black & deep down south boogie woogie music that really was the start of rock&roll.

  • fuckin' amazing sound!

  • How in the hell can you dislike this??

  • this is on my son site- wish he would listen to more. he see what I mean---- in a good way only. This is music. OLD School.

  • Blues is the Great-Grandfather of all music!

  • I'm gonna end this argument about metal. The Blues influenced EVERY music genre ever since it started, INCLUDING Jazz, and Rock & Roll

  • Gahhhhhhhhh :)

  • Blues had a baby and named it rock and roll.

  • @ZeppelinClassics rock and roll had a baby and named it Joe Perry (:

  • @ZeppelinClassics rock and roll had a baby and named it heavy metal?

  • @ZeppelinClassics I"ve been saying that for years !!

  • this song KICKS ASS

  • Moooooonnnnnsssssssstrrrrrrrrrrrruuuuuuuuuuuuooooooooo

  • This version is from the album Electric Mud -1968. It's so bad ass! The whole album is Muddy Waters as a psychedelic blues rocker.

  • Blues made rock

  • ls this the original recording? lf so, it sounds WAY ahead of it's time.

  • @imthedorf1964 I think it's a later version of it, cuz this sounds Jimi-fied (<--- that's a word lol :P)... the first one I heard definitely sounded time period specific. :0)

  • My guitar was begging to jam after she heard this song

  • @sshomero my guitar threatened to eat me if i didnt play this song. i admit to being very scared andcalled the police. MUDDY FOREVER!

  • most blues singers still had day jobs back then. If muddy waters and other classics like howlin wolf had've been in these times, the music industry would have earnt them the royal mint. But without muddy and co. there probably wouldn't have been any inspiration for any music...

  • yes, please ♥

  • layed back, bit of muddy waters on, gonna crack out the six sting soon!

  • muddy waters was indeed one son of a gun....

  • mean man mean

  • This man inspired Zeppelin, and a whole bunch of other metal artists

  • Man listening to the blues really does get me through the day

  • @taddprice - whites did not invent those instruments. Many instruments were invented in Africa - they Xylophone and many drum and wind instruments. Whites copied a lot of Black's instruments. I'm tired of whites people claiming they invented everything mechanical which is a horrible lie...yes I know whites own most stores and industries but that's only because blacks slaves in america invented a lot of the stuff and the whites got to own the business by racism and stealing.

  • Wooooohu thats soul man!
