Tool has its place and so does Yob. Tool does not overshadow Yob, never has and never will, and for fucks sake, this is a Yob video/music, so take off your shoes, you're walking on YoB's territory.
go and stick your head up your arse, the stink of shit that you spout must be blocked.. Comparing Tool and Yob.. Tool has millions behind them, hence the sounbd system and sound engineer are all top notch.. i have seen Tool 7 times live, and 1st time was back in 1992, they sounded shit compared to now. Yob on the other hand are fucking heavy as fuck. Yob is indeed a psychedelic stoner, blues doom metal band with deep introspective esoteric lyrics that resonate asian philosophy. Long Live YoB!!!
I think all this bickering on Youtube about YOB and Tool is a bit silly, don't you think? I don't like Tool, because I don't like Tool! It's that simple people. Both are different bands and both have different places. Can't we just listen to the music and get along? Please?
@doomandcereal i agree for the most part, but they ARE doing a tour together, so it's not entirely true that both have different places lol. I happen to be a Tool fan and a fan of doom/sludge/stoner metal. I can't fathom how one can like one band but not the other, they're both awesome!
You people just don't know how to shut your mouth and appreciate music. This low bellowing roar of music is very much unique and enjoyable. Who cares if it's anything like Tool or nothing like Tool. Tool is Tool, Yob is Yob, leave that shit at that. Get over yourselves and quit bickering back and forward like fake politicians.
Oh, and fuck hipsters. Give Steve Urkel his clothes and his glasses back.
SAW THESE GUYS OPEN FOR TOOL LAST NIGHT IN CHARLOTTE. BLEW MY MIND!!! THEY SOUND SOOO MUCH BETTER LIVE CONJOURING AN EERIE SOUND THAT CANT BE WASHED OFF.
Like comparing apples and oranges ..I like YOB sound they are an excellent band and touring with Tool is like an amazing opportunity to reach MORE fans who maybe hadn't heard of them yet
@Apro666 Its not about winning, they just can't be compared, but people on youtube have that habbit of always bringing some band into another one video, i just love their music and their performance, as far as tool goes, i cannot manifest my opinion cause i haven't seen them live, but its obvious that if your going to a tool concert unless u know yob, u just end up not giving a fuck or not enjoying because their delaying the tool show, and its a shame, this album is a masterpiece.
I dont like tools sound very much but i like this yob stuff a lot.the guys in tool can play very good and there cools guys, i just cant get into there sound,im more into this kind of sound.
this band sucks live trust me u can hear anything they do and they look like a bunch of fools but i got lucky and TOOL came on after them so my headache went away
I have to disagree...I saw them live everything was perfect, the vocals, the sound, the vibe, it was one of my favourite shows ever, maybe it was a bad day for them in your case...i don't know. But either way, TOOL shadows every band, no matter how good they are
@puquena yes they definatly were off that night i listend to more of their music i like them but im just sayin i didnt enjoy them live but i didnt know them before i saw them live so i juged to quick but still Tool can perform and no matter what u say they are still origonal like this shadows so many other bands as well so u cant go there in the music industry these days
@puquena Yeah they sounded great here in nj. My bf said their equipment was too loud but I think it was perfect...it grabbed you and I liked it loud because you don't hear to doof's sitting next to you singing along (to tool atleast).. lol
@puquena Tool shadows every band, that is definitely true...it's almost sad in a way, but Tool is just that good. DC, AJ, MJK, and JC make it that way...4 virtuosos is a tough band to precede...
@MrThembones Saw them with Meshuggah and another time with King Crimson. It was like watching the concert backwards. They have odd time meters down pat but Meshuggah was exploding kids' heads and King Crimson was freaking everyone out. Dillinger Escape Plan is even crazier than KC or Meshuggah live, changing time signatures like every 3 seconds and flailing around while doing it.
@moosenoodle shut your motherfucking hole, you dipshit. your favorite band is who? only the world's most popular alternative metal band ever? what effort you've put into your tastes. i am in awe of your trite, radio-flavored sensibilities. anyways, stay the fuck home when they play the tour so i don't have to deal with the inevitable parade of similar assholes when i go to see two decent bands play.
@nraab807 hey man u took that the wrong way i didnt mean like in general they suck just that night im pretty sure they were off cause they had a delay after 2 songs but what i was saying is i think they just needed to be a little bit more into their playing like the drummer he really did look like a robot playing he was to stiff and the mic for the vocals was turned down way to low u could only hear him go high pitch and diss tool all u want but DC has more talent in his pinky than yob's drummer
what in the fuck another crawling feature by scott kelly i hear right there? on one record, the short feature by him on adrift in the ocean was so nice... i am glad i checkt it out and found out about YOB! second love after Neurosis, is ASoL followed by this masters of Doom and then there's fucking Dark Castle! what's next? =)
@SouthernDoom666 Unfortunately I don't know if they're touring. They are doing a show as part of Musicfest NW in Portland Oregon but thats it as far as I know... Sorry... I hate to be a buzzkill man.

YOU have obviously no idea what you are talking about.
Only because they are successful it doesn't mean that they only play for money.
No, actually they have written many songs AGAINST such odd behavior.
You are the one who posts nonsense.
One does not simply make statements about something one has no idea of.

Are you fucking kidding me?
Are you seriously implying that they CHOSE to be known? Dude, they make brilliant music and people like that, many do. You can't CHOOSE popularity.
You are being nothing but a dirty little hipster in my eyes, right now, no idea what you are talking about, yet bashing mainstream music.
I don't like the concept either but i still enjoy some bands or artists that are well known.
If it wasn't for them you wouldn't know YOB either.
