Matt: That's awsome. OK, dumb question, do you tune the heads of your drums to the notes or key the song is in? Your drums sound so "in tune with the song".

@1homebrewed If I'm playing with a guitarist, I usually tune to their guitar a little. But normally I just tune them by ear. One tuning works for "most" songs, but some songs need specific adjustment.

Thanks, I wondered if drums were tuned to specific notes, and so they are. It's amazing how much better instruments sound together when they are all in tune!! Thanks for the answer. And now....back to mando and flute.

I tried this tune. Note the key word is "tried". It's very hard to shadow what another drummer is doing because you are having to listen with two ears but play for two brains - your own sense of riddim along with the other drummer's sense of riddim! It would be good if you could take out the drum track because I know that you know what you would play to satisfy your own style and musical sensibilities. So, my hat's off to you my brother for playing with a "no fear" attitude on this one. Big up!!
