Bill Holman, in his "Smokey Stover" comic strip, used to feature references to "Foo" all over his daily and Sunday strips. Apparently, Bob Clampett was a big fan, as he occasionally started using "foo" in his cartoons durng this period.
@baxterfilms i never noticed the lines until you pointed that out, but i did look for it in the color version of it and it looks like they fixed it, somewhat.
its amazing how in the depress era 30s ppl made great cartoons masterpieces with low money and limited technology, now 2011 in the new era of money and technology when u watch tv u feel so depressed... :P
@redwyvernMS its amazing how emo you can be, people make good cartoons these days as well, but I guess you want to run down everything :p people have been depressed in the past and present.
@redwyvernMS I think you're talking about "Powerhouse" by Raymond Scott. There are several postings of it here on YouTube, I believe. It was in a lot of these Warner Bros cartoons whenever they'd be in a factory.
@StormsongK I should add that the specific part you're thinking of, if I'm right, starts about halfway in, so if you start listening to it and it's not what you were thinking of, just skip to the middle. Hope this helps!
When I was young, I was used to watching Warner Bros. Cartoons with their original soundtracks and the Low Pitched soundtracks. Now that Looney Tunes is back on CN, I'm now used to listening to the sped up soundtrack.
Did WB take on Flescher's practice of post-synchronization ad-libbing.

Anyone wish that they had Daffy as a doctor?
He's such a screwball... and that's why we love him!

I kinda wish Daffy had stayed this way. The grouchy Daffy was a bit too much like Donald (although he was also smarter).

4:35 There's no points in making those lines move at the bottom. They don't connect with the building, so it really doesn't work.
