  • Point to Gryffindor!

  • 2:46 what an advance-lunge :D

  • Hmm,,,when im making parry(any) my tip of a foil trys to stay allways in line to target...so i can make or parry or opposition with blade and it will be one lamp...

you can see that point is not looking on target, so its possible to avoid parry....

0:46 ... so i fence now 12 years...have gone trough russian school of fencing..there are tips which are more further than basics...

  • Very nice work, indeed. Though I think the tip of the weapon opens slightly more when the parry is performed, making the fencer lose his target for a moment and making the riposte a little slower than it could be. You can see the result when the tip lands below the adversarie's chest.

Anyway, this is only my opinion based on what I have learnt and I enjoyed a lot your video, especially for giving a definition and explaining the actions.

  • Around the 2 minute mark, this video contains some of the best examples of Quarte Direct Riposte out there. Perfect examples for any level fencer. Nice!!

  • Thank you for these videos! :)
