I've been trying to create an ENGLISH AUDIO DUB for the cut scenes and all other scenes involving voiced interactions. I've run into a snag though. I can't find any1 who knows how to get ONLY the audio files from the games base directory. Cuz without them, I'll only be able to dub over the cinematic sequences. I've already assembled a tiny cast, but since I'm a guy, I need LADIES who'd like to try some voice acting out for fun. SO PLEASE LET ME KNOW FOLKS!! I AM BEGGING HERE FOR GOD-SAKES!! lol

yes. the saturn version had a little more to offer. but it's harder to translate and hack I believe. the team that did psx policenauts wanted to do saturn version too but I don't think they could make it work.

@farmface unfortunately the psx version which isn't as good and complete as the saturn version. also saturn version would easier to play on an unmodded saturn

there's a team working in a translation, they finished the translation and are doing the codding, luckyly the project is not dead, it had updates in this month

I want to know if there are at least some comical scenes in this game. If Lethal Weapon did, then so should this, though it doesn't fit in the Comedy genre.

They make this look like a movie! And this game is actually inspired by a movie. It is based on the movie Lethal Weapon.

Inspired by Lethal Weapon? It has nothing in common, aside from the character likenesses of the main characters. Wait until you play the game, and see what I mean.

Well, some of it is based on Lethal Weapon. As you can see, Jonathan Ingram and Edward Brown clearly resemble Martin Riggs and Roger Murtaugh, the two main protagonists of the Lethal Weapon series.

I've seen people in the past try to dub their own games and it's always been awful. Translation projects are always hobbyist works done for free and as a result they can't hire professional voice actors like an actual localization effort would. I really wouldn't want any random guy off the internet to talk over the game's professionally recorded voices even if they are in Japanese.

Just to let people know; this is being translated by a freelancer, meaning, he does English/Japanese translations for a living. This is a great localisation job, by the way he's talked about it in such great detail, too. He's very well versed in Japanese as he needs to be for his professional job. So really, we are having it done by a pro; provided for those interested, for free (unless you include the cost of the game)! :-D

I don't care about the translation, I know about that already. I'm talking about voices. Voices should never be done by random fans on the internet without any form of professional acting experience.

Unless you can manage to hire a few professional VAs, which is highly unlikely for a free translation hack, I think the Japanese voices will be sufficient enough.

Some of the characters are American. They should speak English.

They all should, technically, since all of the residents on Beyond Coast use English as their main language. It's just a Japanese game, so Japanese is what we're gonna get.
