I wonder if anyone now in the NBA reach 30,000 points? Maybe Kobe, but he's still down at 23,820. He will have probably have to play another 3-4 seasons still to even come close to 30,000. Shaq is close but he may retire in 2010.
Hard to say for Kobe due to mileage. He's one of the last guy's I'd count out, but I think it's easier for big guys to play 20 yrs at 4/5 than it is to play at the guard positions where he has to create so much for himself and his teammates. I could be wrong, but I think Jordan is the only 2 to hit 29,000 in his initial career w/ Chicago (& he missed about 2 full seasons w/ the broken foot and retirement).
Kobe will break West's Laker record of 25,192 for sure. That's a feat in itself.
67-62 at the half? did they play defense back then??
