They used to be called "Evis" and added the "u", because it was a copy. The Evisu pocket designs had to be tilted, because that was a Levi's copy. They copied the position of the leather Levi's patch, and even the red vertical tab from Levi's.

Then in 2010 Evisu admitted to copying the Levi's 1944 501 jeans, 1890 Nevada design, and 1917 Campbell style, and called them a "Tribute to Levi's", which they were sued for.

Who cares if the koreans copied the japs? The japs copied Levi's.

@dkgmlgjlg latex paint works well, also if u have walmart they have fabric paint it "slick brand" name u can use that, but if you go to home depot and ask them if they have returned paint, and look if its laten you can use that, its really cheap, .50 cents for a returned sample people dont want anymore, i use latex paint from home depot, and then after is dry IROn it and then you cant wash it out, you cant wash it out even if its not ironed

its a special fabric paint. it doesnt come off wen you wash it. you can get it at crafts stores. he probably uses a really high grade fabric paint though

I have a pair of hand painted Evisu Jeans done by Kanji Kohanda the writing is in the Kanji Japanese Script they were also sighned 'To Alan' with his name and 2009 on the Leather Label and he also painted the right rear pocket with the Evisu Sighn and A S(my initials) on the left pocket...

 I got these by pure luck I have been reading the letter that came with them and noticed that the Evisu Label was founded by Hidehiko Yamane. They are a great pear of Jeans... I will post mine soon...

Please keep in mind there is a HUGGEEEE difference between the American Evisu and the Japanese Evisu. One (Japan) is top of the line denim and costs around $275 USD, the other is mediocre, a long the lines of Gap or Uniqlo, and retail for under $150 USD. Don't confuse the two. They are not the same.

I think Evisu may have been exclusive a few years ago, but these days it's all to common. Where I live there are a few stores selling Evisu jeans, all genuine. Along with other brands like D&G and Emporio Armani. Hence the 'chav' reference.

Actually, the McDonalds M you are talking about is made by Red Monkey Company, the McDonald M jeans first came out as limited edition for promoting McDonald's in Hong Kong where employees were granted exclusive pairs for work. Evisu's logo is the Daicock not M. I happen to have 2 of the McDonald's M, make me an offer maybe we can discuss. Size 32 though.
