  • only reason Colts won was bc they were getting terrible calls for them to keep their drives alive. Oh yeah, and there were no-calls going their way too i.e. Off. PI on Pierre Garcon

  • I have NEVER blamed the officials for the outcome of a game...I'm an umpire in baseball...and I do my best to find a way to say the team that lost only lost because they didn't do enough to win...I'm sorry...but the refs from this game need to be fired, and this particular ref always has it out for the Texans for some reason...every game I watch that he officiates he goes after Texans players...this entire game was was called this way and the Colts were getting away with blatant penalties

  • THIS IS BULLSHIT WHEN DA TEXANS PLAYED DA RAVENS A RAVENS PLAYER SMASHED ALLLENS FACE TO THE GROUND IN FRONT OF A REF N DEY DIDNT THROW A FLAG BUT DEY THROW A FLAG FOR THIS?? BULL SHIT!!!

  • Lmao @ all the people who think this is rare.

Lmao, this shit happens to the Raiders all the time, and for far far less.

We've been through it since our conception, lol friggin amateurs.

  • @ebannaw This has happened to the Texans a lot in the past too...this game was filled with shitty calls all going against the Texans...this ref gave a high five to Vince Young when the Titans beat the Texans a few years ago...We got it just as bad

  • Its a bad rule, not a bad call. There was clear helmet to helmet contact.

  • @41indianapoliscolts The rule is that a player can't lead with his helmet...if the rule was simply no helmet to helmet there would be flags on pretty much every play...this ref just took it to the extreme

  • @capnkdawg The rule IS no H2H with a Quarterback.

Usually they don't call anything like this though.

  • @41indianapoliscolts In no way should this be a penalty

  • @capnkdawg Exactly, it's a terrible rule, not a bad call.

  • @41indianapoliscolts I'm sorry...but that call is terrible...whether the rule is not to hit the quarterback with your helmet or not, the fact remains that helmets will touch other helmets occasionally and had the ref not thrown the flag he would've heard nothing about it from anyone...this entire game Houston was being called for things that weren't happening while Indi was going to town with facemasks and pass interference...continually leading with the helmet...BAD CALL

  • @capnkdawg Yes the helmets may accidently hit, that is in fact why the rule is so bad.

And there were two questionable calls on that last drive, but the rest of the penalties were excellently called, particularly the PI on Glover Quin, who had his arm around the receiver.

  • @41indianapoliscolts The call was bad whether the rule says no h2h or not...and all game long garcon was grabbing a hold of every guy who covered him, and Glover Quin tried to go for the ball and the receiver was in front and got bumped...I know you're an Indi fan, but dude...Texans had this game all the way...the ref who made the call in this vid does this to the Texans every time he calls their games ...2nd to last play of the game Fosters facemask was blatantly pulled

  • @capnkdawg The rule says no H2H. There was H2H. How was that a bad call?

  • @41indianapoliscolts Because he didn't hit his helmet to the quarterbacks helmet...the quarterback actually delivered all the contact on the play...and its a BAD CALL because had he not thrown the flag he wouldn't have been in ANY trouble for it. It's a rule written on a sign by the phone where I work that says "No personal calls" However, if I sliced my thumb off and called for help it would be a personal call...and It would be the right thing to do if they let it slide

  • @capnkdawg It doesn't matter who delivers the contact.

H2H is H2H, and that's why the rule is so bad.

  • @41indianapoliscolts Well in that case every time a QB that's going to be sacked will lean into the rusher with his helmet...then the rule will still be called like this? I don't think so...bad calls are bad even if the rule states it needs to be called that way...I've seen harder h2h contact on quarterbacks this year that didn't get called and nothing was said to the refs about it and noone noticed or even cared including QB's

  • @capnkdawg No the ref can only call it if he isn't a runner.

And yes you've seen harder contact because most refs don't call this.

  • @41indianapoliscolts My point exactly...refs dont call it and have no trouble with their superiors...it should be perfectly legal...this ref does this to the Texans every time he calls their games and had none of the other calls in the game been so bad I wouldnt have been nearly this upset about it...and some of the other calls were right, but most of them were ticky tacky AT BEST and this ref hates the Texans...

  • @capnkdawg It's sort of like the illegal contact rule before 04. It was in the rulebook, but nobody really called it, after Polian called them out, they started calling it more.

  • There is a little and when I say little i put emphasis on LITTLE bit of contact with the helmets at 0:36 but NOTHING to be flagged for.

    NFL

    National Flag League.

  • wow, that's a stupid call

  • The colts gave the reff money

  • Dumb as hell, that reff sucks

  • Not a bad call. Bad rule. Good call.

  • @41indianapoliscolts What a surprise a Colts fan agreed with that. If a player was to be penalized every time his helmet made contact with another players helmet, we would have a hundred a game. Worst call of the year.

  • THE HELMET HIT HELMET PERIOD.

  • @kimikimch yes the helmet hit the helmet but it was still a bad call because jj watt is 6ft 6in and went down for the ribs and orlovsky was not defenseless because he prepared himself knowing he was going to get tackled and lowered his upper body causing the helmets tapping each other, if you want a legit helmet to helmet call watch julius peppers hit aaron rodgers

  • @kimikimch So if the QB ducks at the last second and they make contact, it should be a 15 yard penalty? Thank God you're not a referee.

  • you cant lead with the head anymore guys, from now on you have to tackle backwards.

  • @darkstar7646 that was definitely NOT a helmet-to-helmet hit, whats wrong with you its football its a TACKLE. more importantly a 3rd down SACK. he didn't "lead" with his head he barely hit his facemask if anything.

  • Oh yeah, the game was rigged -- the Rams are getting the #1 so there's all kinds of talk about what's going to happen with the pick...

... but if you watch that last replay, that was a helmet-to-helmet. Not one of the more blatant ones you'll see, but it is a helmet-to-helmet. You cannot lead with your freaking head.

  • @darkstar7646 What should he lead with, his ass? Horrible call and horrible diagnosing of a play on your behalf.

  • @ad1199 Not his head. But what am I to say -- you obviously believe that these people should paralyze themselves (by not knowing how to tackle nor play the game) for your entertainment.

    Entertain the brutes, right?

Either learn to actually hit or get off the damn field!

  • @darkstar7646 I'm not at all suggesting young men should be purposely injured for our entertainment. I am all for ruthless hits that are unnecessary-not just because they are violent. HOWEVER, with that said-football is a violent game and will always have violence. It is because of the senseless helmet-to-helmets that plays such as this are called. This game is played at lightning speed. Easy to critique in slow motion. If you want to play a pussy sport, go take up tennis, not this

  • worst call in NFL history

  • How do you spell INCOMPETENT?? J-E-R-O-M-E B-O-G-E-R

  • The pass interference call was BS, too.. Perfect coverage by Quinn, and the ball was thrown 5 yard in front of the receiver, yet here comes the flag.. The refs stole the game, there's no debating that..

  • Im not going to put all the blame on the refs, because the Texans did not come to play, this should of been an absolute blowout, but we just didnt perform. But yes, these refs are terrible. This was one of the worst calls in football history. And a few other ones. Im just praying that the texans get it together before playoff time! Go Texans!!!

  • This referee is a total idiot. How is he even still in the league?? This call was so bad that, I believe, he should be investigated. This might be a case where the game was fixed. I can't ever recall seeing a call this bad in an NFL game.

  • We can blame the refs for a majority of the reason we loss or we can blame Gary Kubiak for his conservative play calling of check downs and screen passes no more than 10 yards. This should have been a total blowout of 30-7 not this catch up game for the last 4 weeks. Our defense was gassed out and tired thanks for the cliche 3 and outs all night by the offense.

  • This same referee jerk was throwing yellow flags at the Texans all night, and it was clear to even the most casual fan that he had some kind of agenda, possibly a little extra payment from gambling interests, or possibly something else. Who really knows except the parties involved. But the calls were so obviously bad, and so consistently against Houston that it needs to be looked into. He should be throughly investigated by the league, and by the FBI.

  • Worst call ever.

  • complete Bulls***

  • This wasnt the reason the texans lost, the texans played extremely bad the entire game, they hardly looked playoff ready, go colts!

  • @COGOFWAR117 Looks like the Colts might have possibly thrown away their opportunity to grab the best quarterback prospect in a decade and a half, all for the sake of winning a meaningless game against a team that has been decimated by injuries to their 1st and 2nd string quarterbacks, their best defensive lineman, their best receiver, and many others. Of course the Texans hardly look playoff ready you moron. Go Colts!!

  • @KeepAmericaFreedom You dont realize, the players and coaches dont give a shit about andrew luck, why would they care? They are going to have manning healthy hopefully, and they care about their season, not their next draft pick, you are the moron sir.

  • @COGOFWAR117 You don't know too much about the Texans or the Colts, or about football in general do you.

  • @KeepAmericaFreedom Granted i dont know much about the texans but more about the colts than you do

  • Yup this is what football turned into maybe in 15 years they'll all be wearing flags around their waist... Smh

  • Worst call in football history fuck the refs and I don't blame Texans for wat happened last night refs suck ass

  • @statusdefy Amen bro

  • Total BS call! This drive is stopped and the ball is kicked to the Texans if not for this crap. Unbelievable! This game MUST have been paid off!

  • Comment removed

  • The QB wasn't even passing, he was running. What's Watt supposed to do, let him run away? It was an inadvertent helmet-to-helmet hit. A DB launching himself into a WR head-first is one thing, this is completely different. You can't penalize a guy 15 yards for this! It's total bullshit. The lingerie football league is tougher than the NFL now!

  • @777zippy777 I agree, the lingerie league is tougher than the NFL now. Maybe this referee can go officiate their games, because he certainly doesn't belong in the NFL.

  • The competition committee better do something about this shit because it's gotten ridiculously out of hand. It's FOOTBALL, it's not table tennis. Make these plays reviewable or just make it two-hand touch below the waist or flag football if you're so worried about player safety. Carson Palmer gets his ACL/MCL shredded in a 2005 playoff game, so they instituted the "no diving at the QBs' legs" rule in 2006. Now all this concussions/helmet-to-helmet crap. The pussification of the NFL continues...

  • This game was fixed. There's not a doubt in my mind. The officials kept the Colts in this game all night long and wouldn't be denied at the end. The NFL wanted this prime time matchup to stay competitive and that was the officials agenda. They altered the outcome to make it an event. It's total bullshit. Even Dan Orlovsky can beat you if he's got enough zebras on his side.

  • @djinconroe it doesnt matter the texans beat the bengals and there was nothing the refs could do

  • BULLSHIT!

  • are you kidding me?

  • NFL should just go to flag football

  • The refs totally changed the out come of this game.

9 out of 10 times if that was Yates on the ground on that "Roughing the passer" call, the Colts would have gotten away with it.

Fuck the refs and fuck Roger Goodell. All these rules to "protect players" means change out comes of games by over protecting them with all these shitty flags. And if you're a QB, all you gotta do is whine like Vick and you'll start getting roughing the passer calls after you get hit.

  • @LivinWorstNightmare Oh please, Vick gets no calls. Shut up.

  • @GTABobby Screw Vick and screw you too. If you can't see this was a BS call, then you're just a total dumb ass!

  • @greatunclekevin I agree with the BS call. I was talking about how Vick "complains all the time".. so you're the dumbass. Shut up.

  • @GTABobby Agreed. This was BS and QB's like Vick and Roethlisberger are not protected by these new "rules."

  • Thanx for that. Apparently, they are going to start calling this close again. They did that when this rule came out, but then they let it slide a while. I guess we can thank James Harrison for that. Goodnight.

  • Bullshit. That's a textbook tackle.
