    CANON 600D

  • These results are all skewed, testing DSLRs based on video capabilities? Let's go test some camcorders with their stills while we're at it. That, and the aperture of the cameras is different, as well as focal points being slightly different...Don't think the people who run this channel really give a damn about real tests, they want to just put more videos up that show minute differences between models. Would also be nice if they put 3rd party lenses on them, to level the playing field.

  • the Canon was better in every one

  • in dark places the d7000 slightly better

  • There is No big difference ... But i prefer d7000

  • Canon =]

  • Im a canon kid! :-)

  • canon love :)

  • Canon! I love you!

  • @Corporacion22Robe i love Canon too !!! Canon BFF's :))

  • canon

  • Canon all the way baby

  • Thumbs up if u came here for the girl in the thumbnail lol

  • Both are great but I think Canon has an better contrast and image quality

  • So uh, where's the hot girl?

  • canon looks a lot better!!

  • D7000 and Nikon users (thumbs up)

    Canon EOS 600D (thumbs up)

    Wasted time (thumbs up)

  • @rayandjoanne lol rating comments is disabled !

  • @Boodhunnilesh ?????

  • @rayandjoanne I wanted to give you thumbs up but @Boodhunnilesh disabled the rating scale LOL

  • @Lilreeces10 lol, Get you now

  • canon is the best

  • Canon!!! The colours are more saturated and clearer than Nikon. Sky is so much clearer on Canon. The sky on Nikon looks under exposed.

  • For video, I'd give the Canon a slight edge. For photography, the D7000 has a much better sensor, DR, high ISO, and the build quality of the Nikon body is significantly better. But you don't have to believe me, just look on DXOMark Sensor Ratings: D7000 is near the top, the Canon way down in the middle of pack.

  • Canon raped Nikon, as always

  • no nikon win. look at the sky color and some object disappear on canon. nikon better!

  • nikon

  • Canon 600D!

  • CANON ES EL MEJOR

  • Canon>

  • Canon wins

  • Canon 600d is crispier and less dull

  • @hpept that can all be changed in post processing... that's why this video does not seem very good... Just up the contrast a little maybe saturation and you should be there... Maybe a little sharpening too...

  • @fa6i3n

I agree, but this video compares what comes out of the box from the two cameras with similar settings. Canon wins, IMHO.

  • Name of the song?

  • As in quality they are about the same, the difference that I could apreciate is that the Canon has a warmer color temperature compared to the D7000,

  • YEAH...CANON DID IT! :)

  • this is literally 'spot the difference' except i cant spot a thing different.

  • @hotcrossbun06 I noticed that there seems to be more contrast on the canon 600D than on the nikon D7000...but thats pretty much everything I spotted...

  • bought the canon 600d yesterday :D

  • @3Detonation i am thinking of buying the 600d, is it any good ? or is the 550d better ?

  • @ManofGearsGN I think the 600d is better for filming caus of the screen and other small features. I really love it. But if you're looking for good photos you should buy the cheaper 550d

  • The shots are all of drab settings, I'd be curious to see high contrast shots to see which one blew out first - I think the D7000 has a better dynamic range supposedly.

  • The D7000's photos look more washed out. The T3i has brighter more vivid colors.

  • i like the 600D more

  • @gamelegamele nikon 600D is half price 2

  • @gleek314 makes 3 of us, huh.

  • Im debatng out of these two which to get. Any suggestions? Because on this review/comaparison Canon looked better, but I watched another one and Nikon was better.

  • @gleek314 Same as me....

  • where's the chick?

  • @mrshojoji i was lookin for her too haha

  • i have t3i but i am not racist they are just bought cool lol

  • @baroc00 racist?

  • Canon looks better on your review but Nikon looks better from other reviewer. And I just chose Pentax for its hidden potentials which less got attention from commercial review.

  • @nrimorahardjo Aka: you're a hipster.

  • The color spectrum of the Canon 600d looks a little better although I believe with just a little contrast you could fix that. I think for the comparison you also need to include low light conditions as the Nikon with its better pixel distribution with less pixels and slightly bigger sensor does way better than the canon.

  • Canon all the way! Nikon is nothing but a gay!

  • both are great

  • CANON THE BEST

  • Canon has amazing cameras!

  • Canon the best!

  • Canon its Better

  • thumbs up if you expected the chic on the thumbnail to show up!!!

  • If you want to go for a better video for maybe blue ray dvd's, canon is the perfect camera compared to nikon

  • Nikanon..!! Mix ..

  • I'm a nikon user but I have to admit that canon shoots better video

  • CANON

  • Canon seems a bit contrasted, Nikon is a bit brighter, if you want to color correct it's probably better with the Nikon d7000

  • nikon owners seem more mature, that said i prefer canon because nikon sucks t2i >d3100

  • #teamcannon !

  • i guess canon will always beat us in video :(

  • i've used both cameras, and both are brilliant cameras, personally, i prefer the nikon. i cannot tell the difference between the two in that video.

people are saying that the cannon has more colours (they really mean, that the video is more saturated than the nikon) that's all down to the settings, not the camera.

like i said though, they are both great cameras, and i would be happy to use either, but personally , nikon is better.

  • @wiganms : very good! me too

  • @wiganms Spot on mate - the only real difference is the Fps... with the nikon capable of only 30fps in NTSC format & 25fps in PAL - i would have loved more Fps on the D7000...mostly to play around with the Twixtor effect...sad i know haha . All modern cameras are brilliant , just go out & shoot.

  • nikon d7000 perfect pics:D

  • it's all personal preference actually.

  • Canon = colors

  • 0:51 There is the Comparison SHOT !

  • Nikon colors is so much better.. but in videos, like this one it's hard to compare ;O they're both so GOOD !

  • Comment removed

  • If I wanted to see stills from the cameras you compare I'd look at stills. This is irrelevant, I want to see moving images, from a non static camera. focus speeds, auto light adjust comparisons. Why can't people make review vids where they show actually telling issues with the video recording.

  • Nice video's guys ... Thumbs up!!!

  • I like the way Canon pics look rather than Nikon. To me even a Canon 1100d make better looking pics that a Nikon D7000 costing three times more.

To me Nikon look distorted and dull while the Canon look clean and clear with better color.

  • @SuperMangn Youre joking right? A 1100d makes better pictures then a d7000? mmm sure my friend.......

  • @aponcapone Yes it does, because all Nikon are crap distorted looking washout color.

  • @SuperMangn only in youre eyes dude....only in youre eyes....Im a proud nikon owner and i dont diss canonowners...Both are very nice and good....Nikon works just better for me and for many others but if you like a canon that´s also fine by me......

  • Nikon

  • the shadow details is better in Nikon but the the colors is better in Canon , white balance play major role here

  • Canon for Video, Nikon for Stills. The Dynamic Range on the 600D blows hard compared to the D7000 .. and that matters a lot more in processing still RAW files.

    That's all.

  • Canon is much better.

  • Both look very, very similar. Both are good. The only noticeable difference that I see is that the sky is often clipped (white) in the Canon whereas in the Nikon you still see a blue sky. The D7000 has a greater dynamic range, and it does make a difference. Thanks for the comparison.

  • The problem with this is that for most of the pictures you're using different focus points and different f-stops/shutter speeds. I still think Nikon shot the sharper image.

  • Canon 1, Nikon 0

  • i like the cannon. most people that say the side by side look of two different cameras is retarded need to get their helmets and stop QQing. i dont want to keep spending money for more crap that i dont need like photoshop to pull up the colors after i take the photo. i dont care to edit all my photos for hours after i get home.

  • The white balance on the Nikon isnt realy fixed

  • i think canon looks lil better !

  • I use Canon including the 600D. The Whole Nikon Vs. Canon thing is retarded. We've seen brilliant stills and videos with both brands over the years. On this video Canon is set to standard settings, which gives it more contrast and "true" color, but you might want to use custom settings and like some said, apply the look you want with your Non Linear Editor. Canon is superior in video, that's a fact. But lately Nikon has steped up in the game, at least at levels below the 5D mk2...

  • it same... i think got 600d coz chiper them d7000 for same quality picture..

  • The camera body honestly doesn't make the picture, its the type of lens.

  • Thanks for the comparison. Going with the Canon on this one.

  • This is crap, I wish these guys would stop putting out videos like this. Everyone sees them and thinks canon looks better because it has sharper contrast and color. This is just a built in boosted setting in canons that you will want to take off anyway. You want a flatter image with all the information retained so that you can pull it out in post. You could set the nikon to look like that too but they just have flatter stock settings.

  • I think the side by side comparison helps so much. Thanks! Now I'll know which to get.

  • CANON CANON

  • Video perfect, Can you say the name of the music ?

  • Who cares about the girl, the title matches the video perfectly xD This is what I was searching for. Unlike some pervs :P LOL

  • Also why use a DSLR for video? LENSES!! there are not many interchangeable lens options for a video camera, thats why many are moving to DSLR for video/ short films. Nikon is slightly better than cannon in still imagery..how ever not enough to kill it..canon kills nikon in video being able to go up to 60fps while nikon is 24fps and recently able to go up to 1080p. Bottom line if you do both video and photo go for canon. more then photo then go for Nikon. (I have a Nikon D7000 and canon 7D)

  • It is dumb to compare the to in quality since there around the same. However to say Nikon is better because it is less contrast is even dumber, probably does not do much with video. From a Animation/ Cinematic Arts major, there will be less color correcting/ editing to be done using a canon's "ridiculous contrast" over a lower contrast..after affect and final cut pro are not photo shop.. you try color correcting the D7000 your loosing all that detail. Nikon = Still imagery Canon video. DONE.

  • Nikon looks better: sharper, less ridiculous contrast/higher dynamic range(?), natural colors, a little better dof, more details, less smudged. Oh well, but I have my t3i which wins with 60fps, higher bit rate and PRICE. Sacrifices are sometimes inevitable :)))

  • Nikon is way better imo, less over done contrast and more preserved detail to play with in editing so you can add a bit more contrast to mimic the 600D partially but still have the range of details, Nikon all the way

  • I'll go for canon 600d it has a better video contrast vs to nikon d7000

  • CANNON ACED this one

  • what should I take

  • CANON ! ! !

  • i came here for the girl. I saw no girl. I am upset.

In addition, the nikon d7000 has been compared with the semi pro level canon 7D. the t3i is a consumer based piece of crap. You're comparing pebbles to diamonds.

  • nikon d 7000. !

  • 0.09 Why is the Nikon a photo and Canon motion?

  • @mischiefvous okay they all are

  • @mischiefvous look more carefuly.. the bag there moves

  • Show some movement, this might as well be stills.

  • I'd have either!

  • doesnt really prove anything...settings? Nikon looks flatter but it may be better in that it preserves the blacks (less noise) but you cant really tell. Again its not the camera its the shooter. :)

  • Wow ! canon the best ! ...

  • Yes WHere is the girl?

  • I prefer the Canon because it makes the colors pop out which would be great for nature videos. I can't wait to get the T3i.

  • firstly, you don't expect those cameras to excel with a sigma zoom lens! Secondly, there's no such thing as "same settings" when it comes to different manufacturers. And thirdly, the Canon CAN'T AUTOFOCUS!

  • check out my honest t3i test vid.

  • Who gives a crap about the girl? Perverts.

  • @JodyOnToast If you are a (straight) guy, you normally love to see girls! There is nothing perverted abt that!

  • The Nikon D7000's image seems to me to be a bit underexposed. I don't know if the image from the D7000 looks a bit worse because it is underexposed only or if it really is worse than the Canon 600D! Anyway, Canon is years ahead of Nikon in terms of film making, what is really sad considering that I'm a Nikon user and would love to have a nice quality equipment for shooting video! :(

  • @sushimannnn It's not under exposed, the dynamic range looks to be higher on the D7000, so there's less saturation. You can see it very clearly with the smoke stack the Canon "sees" lot of grit the D7000 far less.

If you want photos I would lean toward the Canon but for video (speaking as a videographer) I would buy the Nikon. Because it's not as much saturated you can colour correct and colour grade it easier.

  • Nicon - real colors / Canon - no real colors

  • CAN SOMEONE HELP ME OUT? IS A T2i better than T3i or is t3i better than t2i?

  • @theSCclub its pretty much the same just paying for the swivel screen which comes in handy when taking extremely low angles "floor shots"

they both have the same hardware batteries etc. t3i is slightly lighter but not much.

Keep in mind the t3i is also known as mini 60D. but since of you have the budget for a t3i might as well go for the 60D for a faster burst rate of shutter speed at 5.6fps compared at 3.7fps for just a couple hundred more. also you would get a better lens to start off with

  • @theSCclub T3i has the pop out screen and T2i does not. But seems like all is the same otherwise from what I have researched. So if that is not too important to you then it saves you about $100

  • So basically the T3i is way better!

  • Some point n shoot don`t come cheapo anymore some have so many features like Cyber-shot DSC-HX9V equiped with a massive zoom delivering amazing quality pics better probably better than dslrs ,personaly i will not buy a $1200 unless im a photographer and try to carry eos around neck in nicaragua or belize i guaranty you will get robbed within a minute.

  • Used to have the eos 30d ,,great camera but to carry around is a pain and i missed a lot of shot because i was to leazy to take it out of its carring bag ,put the zoom on etc..the point n shoot cameras on the other hand some of them can deliver quality pics just as good and they are very easy to carry around,, just put it in pocket and always ready for use !!!

  • @northshoore

you're so wrong.. dslrs are meant to be carried with a strap around the neck!

and that part point n shoot.. also wrong, THAT'S WHY DSLRS EXIST IN FIRST PLACE!

to deliver you QUALITY, and that feeling of smth really good in your hands

for example try shoot night photography with cheapo point n shoot, and for example D3000 which is begginer level.. IN SPECS, YES, point n shoot IS BETTER, but in quality, it is no match ;)

  • @placebo4yo LOL

  • the real reason people buy cameras is for real pictures, not movies. do upload a video comparing noise between the two and see which one wins.

  • @vaderisasoxfan you are the guy who decides why poeople buy these camera's. would you be so friendly to let many of us who buy them for video, primarily, to continue to do so and have some youtube video's to help us make choices??!! lol

  • No boob?

  • Always said that Canon and Nikon are the same.

But the professionist choose Nikon :D

  • @AlkmenesAlkmenes professionals stop worrying about their brand of equipment and largely meaningless things like megapixels and realize that after a certain point what matters is their skill and creativity. the camera is just a tool.

a famous photographer shot many of her award winning pictures on an old 350D, go figure.

  • @rexregum who cares about awards get a hungry molested girl in front of your camera frequently and you'll get a award lol

Nevertheless you are right, you make the pictures not the camera or the lens. but a good camera with a good lens does help you out in certain situations.

A last note is that there are no average dslr's anymore they are all up to the task and you shoudn't worry about that as a amature. For a pro things are different, you need that shot and 600d 0r d7000 might not be enough

  • lol... actually this both camera all most same.. but person how know uses that camera with crativity can made nice picture and video..

I have canon 550d and nikon D90.. and Im happy with it.. xD

  • The Nikon as greater dynamic range but the t3i as better color. Use Cinestyle from technicolor on the t3i for better color grading and you save 500$.

  • Far to much analitical drivel on cameras these days

  • hate these "reviews" the camera may show more sat in the raw but it what you do with it from then on that counts ... for sooc the canon looks better from my exp. nikon strips the canon nads down for performance in terms of iso etc etc

  • 600d better obviously

  • Even though 600d seems to win D7000, if you look closer, D7000 can capture a wider better in high contrast sceneries.Just have a look at skies and in doors (Brights and shadows).

  • They both seem to produce lovely images; I don't think you could go wrong with either. Remember, the camera is nothing without a creative person behind it.

  • @jkokich Well said ... :)

  • I almost spent 1000 extra on the d7000...thank god I went with the t3i

  • pause at 0.17 again it looks like that inside the house there is more light in nikon. the door is clearer in nikon. although for artistic purpose can may make the deal. its colour is richer than nikon, look at the green tree. pause at 0.52 sec. its look like that canon picture is little animated rather than natural. colour of a tree in such a low light is hypothetical. although for video purpose this hypothtical thing may do the trick. people sometimes prefer hypothetical over natural.
  • pause at 0.13

watch at the central bar of the shadow.

look at the upper 1/4th portion.

stripes are a bit longer in nikon than canon.

  • pause at 0.08 sec.

at a glance canon picture lokks more attractive.

but all the same look carefully nikon retains the original colour and exposure of the cloud.

  • pause at 0.02 sec.

    canon picture looks more contrast.

nikon looks more shiny to me.

  • image quality is half of the equation because the d7000 has weather sealing and a metal body, t3i has plastic body. also, the d7000 and the t3i are in different categories. its better to compare the d7000 and the 60d. the t3i is more like the d5100. dont think this video is true representation of these two cameras. even on the same settings each camera will read data differently. t3i seems to have more contrast but we can fix that by adding contrast on the d7000.

  • The 600D has a lot more life to it, in my opinion :)

  • Get a camcorder if you want to shoot videos. Get nikon if you are serious about photography!
