I just built myself a Toilet seat guitar using a nice old Fender strat neck my mate got me at the bootfair for £2 !! Looks, sounds and plays really well.
Pretty chuffed with it so I am.
I've been looking at getting a hardware recorder such as the D4.
I'm getting pissed off with ableton being so temperamental when it comes to running my Lexicon alpha soundcard on asio. Can you recommend the D4?
The korg D4 is a nice thing to play around with, but I think it isn't being made anymore. I use it mostly to record practice session with my band (it has a nice internal mic), but it's also good for capturing multiple tracks for practicing at home
HEY you did It I used to have one , made with my walking stick It was adjustable with a turn key . I would play and amplify it by putting one end in the slot of a picnic table. folks loves it and i wasn't any near good at playing it.
@bob057 did you see the movie ''It might get loud'' with jack white, the edge and jimmy page? because at the begining Jack white builds a guitar exactly like yours
Love the whacky cartoon you drew on it.

Hi again,
Since my last comment I've sussed out my problem, The Lexicon Alpha isn't compatible with windows7
So I swiped the firewire card from my dead pc and fitted it in this one, loaded up my Old Behringer soundcard..Bingo !! Works in Ableton now.
It's a bloody shame, cos the Lexicon alpha sounds really good, especially on vocals.
Hey ho..

Did you use a slide, or just play it like a fretless guitar/bass?
If you are playing it like a fretless, ir might work better if the nut was closer to the fingerboard.
