Pat Benatar came from a time when women did rock-they don't nowadays. But for the sniffy, rock is not a primarily US thing nor a US female. Pat, along with Stevie Nicks has a great rock voice for what she does, but there are other quieter females too that are no less stingy in the advent of rock music & the UK had many to be proud of. Rock is not just all about guitars either. So many great 80s females put the following decades to shame, yet are wrongly labelled pop always. Synth-rock is rock!
