Thank you for the reply. I'll give it a try. Another question I have is: Would this still work if the holes were larger (to accomodate varying sizes of marbles)? I'd try using assorted sizes of marbles in the beginning, then they would get sorted into different sections later on down the marble run.

What makes the marble come out of its hole in the gear when it gets to the top?
