I hate to say but KWS has no originality, he's yet to find his own voice, all of his records sound like someone else, whether it be SRV Lenny Kravits and so on. I think he'll be great once he starts playing and making his own music with his own sound. We all play like our influences when we 1st start playing he just never stopped.

@greasegat dont know if you heard his latest album "the place youre in", but its sounds pretty original, some great tracks on there...and lenny kravitz cant even touch this dude on the guitar....i love kravitz's music, but its really no comparison musician to musician. Just my humble opinion. I think we can all agree he's an incredible talent regardless.

i could never understand why some people always try to Hate when someones doing good, as a musician the guy can play, hes been a pretty successful working musician for a while now. ill admit im really not that big of a fan of his BUT i wouldnt call him an SRV Wannabe, i mean cummon, when SRV started getting popular they called him a hendrix wannabe! and what did he do he recorded the greatest version of little wing to date.Hes played with the best in the biz, give him a little credit guys

I have played for over 20 years and for a time my life revolved around the guitar. all my friends where musicians and I knew just about ever talented player in my city and out of all the biggest snobs where blues players. worst thing over half of them where crap and could not play with the feel they claimed more skilful players lacked .purists are pains in the ass that stifle music .and that is totally contrary to what I think music is about .

It's funny you say that-I play in a blues/rock band in my city and this is something that as come to my attention lately; finally after 10 or so years of being on the scene, open jams, sharing bills etc. You are absolutely right. 90% of these guys are total dicks and they can't really play shit. I just do my thing with my group now and have chosen to stay out of those circles. Good Call.

I play out probably 3-6 times a month with my group not including the occasional jam. What I was trying to say is that out of the circles that are out there the "blues crowd" is very reserved and guarded in my opinion especially the audiences, they don't like to party. It's rock n roll!. See the MUDSHARK111 comment. My heart belomgs to the blues but you'll find me hanging with the rock guys. At least that is how it is by me.

Every Blues payer is a ripoff of someone else, What makes them stand out is style. Who cares how they get their start. Dosent matter who your dad is, if you suck noones gonna listen reguardless. Whats the chances of someone watching all these winey punks guitar playing & being impressed? The only time they probally make any face similar to blues players is when their having a serious shit. Hey Joe Bonnamossa sounds like Erick Johnson to me. Sooo fuc*^% what.

So do you not like blues music? Joe Bonamassa is one of the best blues/rock guitarist out there right now. Everyone does get there style from other people Hendrix:Buddy Guy,BB King ect.. SRV:Hendrix,Albert King John Mayer SRV Hendrix BB King. KWS SRV Hendrix. Joe Bonamassa:Eric Clapton,Eric Johnson. So what if they sound like someone else.Everyone does!
