I'm making these for all the ladies in my family as a Christmas gift this year. I'm doing baby powder, peach mango, sugar cookie, and spiced apple scents. I hope they turn out.
@changingmyself They came out great actually. I had a little bit of trouble with the gelatin at first but I got it figured out and all 16 of them came out great!
Awesome idea! Especially with the salt to prevent mold. So, does this one last 30 days for you? Or even more? I definitely wanna try this out. Thanks for the tips!
Jolene, this is an awesome video I laugh all the way through. Just watching it one time is not enough;)
I made three of them with our girls spicy apple for two and Ocean for the third. Have yet to decorate them I am sure they will be just as cool as yours.
Walmart has some scented oils that smell AMAZING!!! They're only $2 too. Their linen scent smells exactly like clean cotton from Yankee. I have to try this with that scent... I bet it will be awesome :D
@daphnener I know right, they have AWESOME smells there, but have you noticed on the back it says no contact with skin..... it doens't matter you don't eat it anyway.
I love this video. I will be making these for my home. And you are right those air fresheners are so darn expensive. I can have my kids make them with me. This would be a great project for my sunday school class. Thanks a bunch Mrs. Jolene Keep up the good work.
Great instructional video Jolene! I would like to refill my expensive glade scented oil. I found some 1$ refills at Dollar Tree but they don't fit my glad oil plug-in. I don't want to pay a dollar for their dispenser. Is there a solution for that? I can't get the lid off to refill it! Please solve this problem for me!
The same thing happened to me. It firmed up some but not all the way. If you tip it over it will slowly slide out. I am thinking that I didn't let the gelatin dissolve all the way before I took it off the stove.
What a super idea! I love this! And I featured you on my channel, and hope you don't mind, but I'm sharing you w/ all of my friends! You're a hoot, lots of fun, and talented to boot! You've just gained a new fan! God Bless!
great video! great idea! anyone who has a little extra to spend and wants it to be all natural can buy essential oils at Whole Foods.... but since there's no Bubble Gum in nature, I suggest taking your advice haha :)
I love this video the most! I last year made one for my family, and it was a family HIT! I LOVE your show, and this craft is worth a life time for the Christmas holidays! Its all fun, and all easy! This is one I REALLY LOVE!
Hello, I really enjoy your show. But I have a question. What scent do you suggest for my hunting cabin? Sometimes me and the old boys raise up a stink using buck lure and such. Thanks! and love your show.
Every year when I renew my lease I give my neighbors in the building small gifts. This year I'll be giving them gel air fresheners. I bought scented oils in citrus, lavender and apple /cinnamon scents and I've started saving my pimento jars. Thanks, Jolene.
plus....its not toxic, and i made the peace and calming and place it in my daughters room...and the joy...whever....the lavender in my bathroom or bedroom....
the best essential oils that work and gives out benifits ...is young living ...essentail oils....it s pricey but pure...all pure...i just make 3 geletin air fresheners with pure oil...lavander, joy, peace and calming....yep check under young living
Jolene, I should have known you would have done this. I was thinking about doing this as a craft, googled it, and do you know you were the first thing on google? hahaha I should have known! I am going to be doing this hopefully soon and will link up to your video :) Thanks so much!
Someone got me to taste this jelly they brought back from Hawaii, said it was Magic Three Taste Jelly... each time you tasted it... you were supposed to taste a different flavor... I told her I tasted a $12 souvenir jar of Jelly...
LOL!!!! I've gone to one of those jam/jelly tents at the swap meet at the Aloha Stadium. They are very expensive, but most are good. I know exactly the one you are talking about. I may have tasted two things, the smooth going in and a little bit of a burn, but that's about it. I left without jelly and continue to leave without jelly, but it sure is fun taste testing!!
Love these Jolene and we love you in GA. I made mine in Cinnamon, Vanilla, Lavender, Sweet Pea, and Bay Rum. I can't wait to give them as gifts. I also want to feature them at my next craft's festival with my handmade soaps. You're the greatest Jolene.
I just made some. It works great. I put double the lemon oil and paid the price in the kitchen. I know better next time. After they gel and you put them out around the house, they are great. I open window next time for i don't get hit at once. lol Thank You Ms Jolene
I used a stainless steel pan, I washed it , rinsed it real good. No problem. I even put the food coloring in. (RED) I put in 3 tablespoons of lemen oil. I believe next time only 1 in a half will do.
I can't believe this, I have everything in my kitchen already. I will try to make one now. I even have the lemon scent oil. You make it look so easy. I go thru alot of air fresheners. Thank You very much. You just save me a fortune. I am going to watch your other video's.

I made these and they are awesome smart lady you are lol..I used African Fantasy oil its made in the area I live..will check the dollar store for it now on thanks so much for this great ideal. I posted it on my home page ..you are the Lady of the year with this one.
I'll have to say, though.. I had to buy new jars and I just can't stand the taste of baby food. Any idea what to do with the contents besides pouring it out? I've tried eating it, but it's just too... sour.. Babies eat this crap? O.o

It could start to grow nasty things in them if you used Fruits and Natural items to scent them, and attract bugs.
There are however natural oils and scents that should work.

I'll have to say, though.. I had to buy new jars and I just can't stand the taste of baby food. Any idea what to do with the contents besides pouring it out? I've tried eating it, but it's just too... sour.. Babies eat this crap? O.o

Baby food can replace some of the water/moisture in many cake recipes..
However, I have something coming up real soon..
Love You!
