@ricswapdx ah for the days of the city nightclub after a quick bite at the metro then the stroll up to the city to dance the night away then the inevitable after party at quality pie and that poor waitress everyone put thru hell. Ah memories
I remember hearing on the radio...."The Quake" in San Francisco 1985 era to be exact, that the record company recalled 300,000 albums because of that comment and FCC threats. You know..."kiss my snatch" and re released with a much milder tone. I wonder how much the "Uncensored" Original album is worth?/??
Brilliant stuff! That snatch comment distracted me for a while, but this is pure ABC. Pure dynamite, vive la 80's and ABC! Sheffield just kept producing mind-blowing bands in the 80's!
@jliscorpio That wasn't Eden...that was Martin saying that and being audio treated to a higher pitch....true fact! And since Fiona Russell Powell (Eden) wasn't in the studio to provide her voice... no royalties are paid to her for this song.

According to WIKI, the bit where Eden wants you to kiss her snatch is actually Martin Fry speeded up and not her at all!

Interesting, how a band could make some of the best songs of the decade, and then, a few years later, make total crap like this.

@smurfblood Okay, "Be Near Me" is a great song.

@smurfblood Yep, it's nice to hear that this album is as crap today as it was yesteryear when they ripped me off!

@kingmidas3000 on vinyl???hmmmm......... Deez Nuts maybe
rwk1983 10 months ago
@kingmidas3000 I'd be curious to know, because I have the original pressing of this record. It's been collecting dust since about 1987.
I always thought this song was kinda silly, but "Be Near Me" and "15 Storey Halo" are excellent tracks from the same album.
