  • We had a choking murder here so do we take away hands? This is a matter of frustration about the government controlling every aspect of life. You can't raise your kids the way you want. all they have to do is say abuse you you have the government up your ass. You need MOMMY at home raising the kids and Dad at work at a job that pays enough to suppor a family.

  • Read the title to your video and now hear this ! We already have had enough of gun violence ! , and you lose ! We won't allow a NUMBNUTS MORON ( like yourself ) to continue wasting our time and TAX DOLLARS on ANY MORE SNIVELLING WHINING SEXUALLY CONFUSED SOB STORIES ABOUT YOUR FEAR OF GUNS / GUN CRIMES . CRIME WILL NOT GO AWAY SOOO...ARM YOURSELF, JACKASS !! WAKE UP ! , SMELL THE POWDER , LEARN THE TRUTH and then FINALLY , SHUT THE HELL UP YOU FRIGGIN TRAITOR / COWARD !

  • sound like this dude is a gun hater

  • Al Gore paid the price for Bill Clinton's gun control.

  • i hope you are one of the first in the fema camps

  • This guy is a fucking idiot.

  • And stop thinking the only way you can protect yourself with a gun. If you dont trust people that much than go lived in syberia walk in the snow storm and wait for a fkin bear or wolf to attack you at least now in call self-defence

  • @deadmight You can get attacked by a bear in a pennsylvania where I live and quite a bit more wildlife like wolves in other parts of the country so owning a firearm can be extremely pratical outside of an extreme example like siberia. Having been in the military before and deployed to Iraq being around weapons constantly didn't make me feel safe or unsafe since you can give some people a a butterknife and they will try to kill with it and give others M4s and they won't contemplate it

  • Gellato556 yea u should be considered dangerous by the fact that you can become crazy by a bad experience in your life and goes ballistic with your familly because you got issue and secondly if there wasnt that much gun in the US then you wouldn't need and damn ak-47 plus a friggin grenade launcher from the wal-mart to "PROTECT" you. Do you think the guy who killed is 5 children in washington bought those gun again to " PROTECT" is kid from his ex-wife cmon guy think before saying u like gun an

  • @deadmight What does what some whacked out asshole have to do with a model law abiding citizen enjoying firearms? Its a second ammendment right its legal to own guns if you or anyone else has a problem with that well to bad. The only option you have is to try and ammend the constitution since that is the only way to legally allow the banning of firearms. Now personally I'm not a gun enthuisant and don't own firearms but I don't see how they are a great danger to society.

  • i own firearms and i am not politically affiliated with any party, group, faction, etc. so you can't call me "right wing" "nazi" or anything else. i just own firearms because i like them, and i have no intenion of harming anyone unless they attempt to harm me. so does this make me dangerous?

  • @nateso95 Pt.2 of course that's very suspicious & alarming to some, yeah that makes sense but who's gonna do that or have the money at 18yrs to even attempt it lol!

  • @nateso95 I asume your joking asking me that but I'll give U the benefit of the doubt.

Answer: the system we have now is just fine but on a federal level not a state level. "If your a U.S. citizen & you have no criminal background record than take your pick of what you like & can afford of course. PEOPLE SEEM TO FORGET THAT IT'S PERFECTLY LEGAL TO BUY 10 semi-automatic ak 47's if they want right on there 18 B-day!

  • Pt.2 What's he gonna do if some1 breaks into his HOUSE & HURTS HIS FAMILY "Id do the right thing and call the cops" if Ur lucky they won't be pros and disconnect Ur phone line AND IF UR LUCKY ENOUGH TO GET TO THE PHONE! While Ur making the call there bizzy clubbing your son/sons in the head & brutally raping Ur wife & daughters YEAH GREAT FATHER HUH! "I'll Get a bat" & what bash there heads in? So U'll use deadly force but U don't believe in guns? Well sorry Ur dead because they got the bat awa

  • FATHER KILLS HIS KID THEN HIMSELF SOUNDS LIKE A MENTAL PROBLEM NOT A GUN PROBLEM

I can garrenty that some1 can kill a lot more people with a car that has a FULL TANK OF GAS. Than with a 1911 with a full mag AND THEY DO HOW COME YOU WON'T BRING THAT UP! Are you gonna ban cars from every1 now make them more strict huh! "well that's different" Ur right it's differ, guns are specifically protected by by the constitution cars aren't this guy so misleading & wrong!

  • @mrsentry08 So how do you tell who's crazy or not?

  • I just saw the Canadian Gun Control video before this (I'm Canadian and I think our gun laws are too restrictive). The BIGGEST thing I think everyone misses when they discuss guns in politics is the social aspects of society; usually gun friendly countries with low crime rates (like Sweden and Switzerland) also come with low rates of unemployment and poverty. That being said, those countries are small compared to us; social behavior works best in small groups. One size doesn't fit for everyone

  • go ahead and take away the guns the criminals will just find another way to kill any way guns are just tools people are the real weapons

  • @gloxkk US Constitution of the United States as well as many State Constitutions. Added to that the places with the most stringent firearm laws have the highest crime generally speaking. Now as for TYT, they just misrepresented CHL holders in this video and that is just ONE video we are speaking on. As for them not gaining anything by lying, I would be willing to contest that too. Then again, they may not be lying, they may just be that ignorant. I was a Forward Observer in the Army.

  • @gloxkk Okay, I am against strict regulation, one "strict" is up for interpretation, two we have a natural right to own and carry firearms, three I hear from the very same people who complain that "we have too many in prison" and oppose the death penalty advocating for rules that will put more in prison, four in the 30's there were those who demanded "strict weapons laws" and they got them as was the case in the 60's and have continued to get them, and finally gun control is a violation of the

  • they shouldn't make guns banned, they should just make it more harder too get or wut am i wrong?

  • @dumass1985 Actually in sweeden just about every house has 1 or 2 guns and Sweeden has about the lowest occurences of gun violence in the world. If everyone is armed then there is the possibility of people being afraid to threaten people with guns due to the chance they could get shot themselves.

  • Exactly how many guns picked themselves up and shot someone? NONE. Guns don't kill people. There is no such thing as gun violence. There is only the violence that one person inflicts upon another. If they didn't have guns, they would have used knives. Just look at the UK, and Taiwan were citizens are banned from having guns. Their knife assault and murder rates eclipse ours many times over. The problem isn't guns. It's people. If more people would defend themselves, we'd have less crime.

  • @gloxkk on firearms. I would like to know what makes you think that you are more knowledgeable than I am. Despite the fact that you did not know until I told you no matter how intelligent you believe yourself to be, I would say that my experience in the Army only adds to my credibility. I would argue that if you get your info from TYT, MSNBC, Brady Campaing, etc... on firearms then you are getting some false info.

  • @gloxkk Never said I watched fox either so all you are doing is pulling that out of your fourth point of contact. I did however, explain to you how I was not "brainwashed" about firearms. And my parents were never Army so I am not an Army brat. I am an Army Vet, there is a difference, not that I expect you to possess the cognitive ability to distiguish between the two. Moreover, I would like you to prove to me that you infact are not the one who is brainwashed. What exactly are your credentials

  • @gloxkk Wait, you were accusing me of being "brainwashed" now you don't care that I have disproved your claim? Moreover, you claim that "no one needs a ton of guns." yet this is how I have much of my knowledge on the subject. Are you sure that it is not you who are brainwashed against private firearm ownership and wish the same for everyone else? Moreover, why would you even accuse me of being a psycho? Is it because it is all you have left? BTW, I did sometime in the US Army.

  • @gloxkk Excuse me? That is quite an assumption. I have seen the gun banners with my own two eyes, they are sick individually. And have you seen any of my videos? I own alot of firearms so it is pretty far fetched to try to claim that I own all those firearms and know nothing about them. Meanwhile I doubt you know a single person who owns firearms that you know about.

  • @gloxkk It is sick how obessed some people are with banning firearms. You are the one who needs serious help.

  • So TYT is saying that all the places that have the most gun control are the safest places to live, and that is the kind of laws the whole country needs to make. Than why does the most crime happen in the states that have the most gun control. CA, NY, PA. I think that the people on the TYT are the idiots. I'm just glad the even today more and more people are buying guns, getting concealed carry permits, joining the NRA, and no matter what GROUPS like TYT say. People just don't listen.

  • fuck this stupid fat fuck I hope he chokes on a bullet

  • no matter how many laws you make there will always be crazy people. Like it or hate it you have the right to own guns.

  • We do have regulation of guns in this country (which is unconstitutional). Have you ever purchased a gun? Liberals need to start holding individuals responsible for there actions, and stop blaming the people and party's around them.

  • @ Auritone "Gun control being at the heart of the nazi take-over is a myth!" And this is the point when I stop arguing with ignorance.

  • @kingcobra5352 Fair enough, but I urge you to study some history written by actual historians.

  • @CSATexan Do you think they would have been slaves if they had guns?

  • @auritone Gun control had nothing to do with it? Gun control from 1928 was extended in 1938 by the Third Reich. What do you think would have happened if the Jews in Germany had guns?

  • @kingcobra5352 Nothing - since the nazis already had complete power by '38 and wide support and would have destroyed any opposition by that time anyway.

Try to look up why the Weimar government inacted gun control in the first place... What happened in Germany at that time?

Gun control being at the heart of the nazi take-over is a myth!

  • @auritone Yeah and the Nazis took full advantadge of it. They even extended it. The claims that Nazis were "right wing", that is the myth.

  • @CRTV1982 Nazis were right wing!

  • @auritone Yeah cause you know a party' platform that is indistinguishable between that and the platform of any bleeding heart liberal party must be right wing. It must also be right wing to go into a country with already strict firearm laws and tighten them down further. And I guess you are going to say that it is also right wing for the government to start telling businesses how, when, and if they will operate or in some cases outright confiscate them from their owners. That sounds RW to me.

  • @CRTV1982 No, that's not what makes them right wing, but what makes it a dictatorship. There is a difference. Hitler was for private ownership, nationalized the unions and took away their rights (and lowered salleries) and gave employers full control of their workers. Germany fuctioned under a free market with few restrictions.

And what happend to the left wing of The National Socialist Party on the Night of the Long Knives in '34?

  • @auritone I'll tell you how having a gun equals freedom. In 1935 Hilter issued gun control through Germany. Five years later, do you think the Jews in Germany were free?

  • @kingcobra5352

The USA also had gun control laws so that Indians and Blacks where not allowed to own guns. Are you trying to say that their is a parallel?

  • @kingcobra5352 Don't really see that has anything to do with the take-over of Germany.

The gun control act was inacted by the Weimar government - not the nazis.

When they further expanded it in '38 (I think it was) they already had complete power.

Using gun control to explain Nazi Germany is both wrong and neglect the fact that the nazis enjoyed very wide support. That was the reason they managed to take power - gun control had nothing to do with it.

  • Fact: The state of Vermont has the least restrictive gun control laws. The state of Vermont has the third lowest crime rate in the country.

  • This guy is an asshole.

  • "When seconds count, the police are only minutes away." Shouldn't the fact that guns are no where near the leading cause of death in this country be taken into account? Many criminologists have studied gun control, and most have come out pro gun. Why punish law abiding gun owners for the mistakes of a few? Kennesaw, Georgia has proved that guns lower crime rates. There is a reason owning and carrying a gun is right after freedoms of speech. Get your laws of my guns, my money, and my rights.

  • How do you maintain free speech if a government takes it away from you? You have to fight for it like our ancestors did. If you are smart and safe with your guns, they are fun to shoot at the range or in the mountains, and an investment for protecting yourself and your family

  • owing a gun gives you the freedom to defend yourself , the freedom to live . this country was formed as it is today because of the gun , and it may be needed again in the future. i wouldn't mind if a law abiding nurse carries a gun to work in fact i would feel safer. i don't know if the host should be able to own a gun he sounds a little crazy to me and anti american. well at least they fired him at msmbc news.

  • I never really got how owning a gun equals freedom.

How exactly is it more important than say... free speech?

Sorry, but it seems to me like that's the argument.

Please correct me if I'm wrong. (which I hope I am.) :)

  • @auritone

Freedom of speech is based on the belief that you should not be punished for voicing an unpopular opinion about your GOV.

Own a gun is based on the belief that you have the right to protect yourself, property or others.

One can argue the semantics of the two back and forth but the fact is that free speech is uselessness is you agree with the GOV much the same way a gun is useless is everyone agreed with your right to life and property.

  • "let everyone get a gun so damn easy in this country" you sir have clearly never tried to get a gun legally. it is much easier to get it illegally.

  • Haha...Google Left wing extremists (also communism). Why don't you talk about actions by those types of groups? How many they've killed? I can think of some communist leaders (left wing) that killed MILLIONS...many of them after confiscating the peoples firearms. Hmmm sound familiar? Or do you ignore those historical examples on purpose because you are liberal? Gun violence is mostly carried out by gangsters & drug lords BOTH of which are liberal in ther lifestyles. Truth is undeniable, sorry.

  • The whole purpose of the 2nd ammendment is so that a tyrannical government isn't able to control it's people. The government is supposed to be of the people for the people. Yes there are crimes commited using firearms. Yes there are crimes commited using machetes, drugs, cars, alchol, through history it was swords, arrows etc. You know if you dissarm people, there will STILL be crimes, & murder! But firearms equalize victim & assailant. Report how many were deterred by guns!!! Try that.

  • You're an idiot.

  • you herd it here first police needs to control the population can you say police state what a moron ,go home turd

  • fuck that give out more guns...population control

  • Yes, the nurses should have been packing.

You know why the data is skewed when you're looking for some numbers to compare the USA to other 1st world countries? Because handguns are all but outlawed in most countries on the planet. The other FEW countries that legally let some of their citizens own a hunting rifle or two. No good data considering there are millions of Americans with guns in the double and triple digits.

When seconds count, the police are just minuets away!

  • Did you know that recently United States government got caught shipping 30,000 guns into Mexico where it was sold to Mexican gangs so that it can be SHIPPED BACK INTO THE U.S. by them and SOLD IN BLACK MARKET, so that the 2nd Amendment can be blamed for all the violence, hence a reason for gun control/ban?

Google search ""U.S. Government openly admits arming Mexican drug gangs""to learn about it.

Please Like this comment if you think it's wrong for government to do this!!!

  • lol the left is showing restraint, wtf do you think your doing, tyt is a liberal nut. Oh and btw once someone gets one felony their not allowed to own guns

this turk guy isnt an American, even his name says it, hes a turk, we don't like your kind making decisions for Americans

  • @footbalr074 Just talk about politics don't descriminate

  • @pmeister1337 I agree I shouldn't discriminate between liberal politicians and conservative politicians, they both are like a babies diaper, need frequent changing for the same reason

  • The solution to the 'gun problem' is simple. Don't give fuckers with more than 3 felonies the right to own guns, and don't let some nutty fruit cake get ahold of guns.

Most of all, get rid of faggots like this fat italian prick who makes the Mafia hang their heads in shame. Gun hating pussy.

    PROUD OWNER OF AN AK-47.

  • @E5CAPEGOAT Really I thought those were illigal every where in what state did you get it

  • @pmeister1337 Nossir. Semi Automatic WASR-10s are legal in a lot of states. Nice gun. $340+. You should buy one! When you're legal age and haven't committed any felonies! :D

  • its two years later and ur country is still fucked up

  • Young Turks, this is not Turkey! Go push your agenda someplace else. This is My home, if you don't like the way we do things here, you are free to leave anytime. This is not China, or the former Eastern Bloc. There are no walls Built to keep You from leaving. We The People want to keep our Rights, we WILL resist Your attempts to strip us of them. You have a choice to make.

  • Muskets were the assault weapons of their times. If you don't like being stereotyped then don't be stereotypical.

  • You've been brainwashed by your schools.

There's no such thing as "gun violence"

    Guns are inanimate objects.

Were the two people knifed to death by OJ killed by "knife violence"?

There is however an abundance of "Black violence", but don't expect your school to mention that fact!

  • this guys a fucking retard

  • He is right here i think. To let everyone would havnt got a criminal record own a gun without any control is stupid.

  • look at mexico , its against the law for people to have guns and look at whats happening

  • More guns does mean less gun violence. you dont see shootouts at gun shows but you see a ton of them in "gun-free" schools. You want to know how to stop people from shooting cops trying to take guns, it's pretty simple, don't try to take their guns

  • how can be best rated comment retarded one ... if u dont have weapon, u wont use it. well but i guess if u dont have logic in goverment u cant expect it from ppl ...

  • I don't personally own a gun and I never would, but I'm for the right to own them. I just think they should have regular screenings of those who do own guns, obviously it wouldn't help since unregistered guns are easily accessible, but that's just my own oppinion.

  • @MansonFreak Owning a gun is a civil liberty. Purhaps we should have regular "screenings" for people who vote or protest or go to church to make sure they are "ok". Let's also put the government in charge of it so they can decide who gets to have their Bill of Rights and who don't. Stop thinking like a european.

  • Guns dont kill people, crazy mother fuckers kill people...

Fuck ALL LIBERALS, you want my AK47, come and get it.

  • ban guns

  • @gape2011 Come and take it asshole!!!

  • fuck background checks i want a gun no question asked im no criminal people of all ages should have the right to own one most people dont commit crimes anarcy in the usa anarchy in the usa the right of the people to keep and bear are SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED anarcy in the usa anarchy in the usa we have a RIGHT POWER TO THE PEOPLE THE RIGHT OF THE PEOPLE TO KEEP AND BEAR ARMS SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED DEATH TO THE GOVERMENT DEATH TO THE UNITED NATIONS DEATH THE FEDREAL RESERVE DEATH TO THE ATF

  • √Gun Owner or

    Victim

    CHOOSE ONE!

Think about that for a second before you spew anymore your infinite wisdom! ah ah ah shhhhh think - I know you like to hear yourself talk but just stop to think about the choices you have in front of you.

Unless you have the answer to end all poverty and crime, there will always be criminals(ie. people who do not follow the many laws of our society... including gun laws)! So, please STFU will you.

  • this 'reporter' is a retard

  • United States Constitution

    Protecting natural rights.

    SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED !!!!!!!!!

  • @gfmgp Yep which makes any restriction including conceal weapon's license illegal and unconstitutional.

  • don't fuck with are second...thank you. You got a problem with everyone else having a firearm, go get one yourself

  • don't fuck with are second...thank you

  • I find it funny that people want more 'GunFree Zones' and that people want more gun restrictions. Well once this happens these people will soon be robbed and shot and car jacked because felons don't care what people say, that is why they are who they are.

  • I think you can undoubtedly ban a certain kind of firearm. Otherwise wouldn't it be a constitutionally flawed argument that you could ban grenades or I.E.Ds. That's just my thought on the legal matters.

  • We WILL have less gun violence if we have more guns. High security felons were interviewed and they said the worst thing about robbing a new person's house was the fear that the homeowner might have a gun! The American public wants gun rights, NOT GUN RESTRICTIONS!

  • we had gun control in this country for 10 years 1994-2004. why can't we get it back?

  • @JImmy4336 Probably because it didnt work numb nuts

  • @JImmy4336 How would you know? You were in diapers lol. Here let me educate you. The guns that were banned were mainly assault weapons. When was the last time you saw someone getting robbed by a $1000 assault rifle? The answer is never. Criminals usually get their guns by way of theft. Before you ramble on with idiotic statements, I use to be a correctional officer. 95% of home invasion cases involving theft or rape, the person or persons used their bare hands, blunt objects, or knives.

  • it's not a gun/ gat it's a firearm and people aren't packing heat they are carrying

maybe it's people like you that use incorrect terms and have no idea what the fuck they are talking about that provoke gun violence in this country

  • guns don't kill people ,people kill people you dumbass

  • The crime rates keep going down. Gun ownership is going up. The right to carry a firearm has gone from 9 states in 1986 to 46 states in 2011 and what has happened? Crime and gun murders have gone down down DOWN! You ignoring that absolute undeniable FACT is very telling. You don't care about people getting shot, you just care about getting rid of guns because it's very clear that more guns have led to less gun homicides.

  • I like how you poisoned the well right off the bat. I've seen kids with Tay-Sachs that have more common sense than you. And what the fuck is a "gat"? if anyone should not be allowed to own a gun its you. Ted Kennedy's car has killed more people than my gun.

  • I've watched these youngturk videos for awhile and Im somewhat right wing but I respect and like points this guy makes . I've always agreed on other topics , kind of like John Stewart is one of my fav but gun control is something that's sickens me . I see these people as fairminded on other topics but what about guns are here for everybody for a reason . True equal power

  • guns don't kill people, people kill people

    I advocate people control...

  • gotta love the nra shills commenting. hey morons, its a liberal show, we're immune to your stupidity. your repetition isn't going to work.

and thanks, a year and half later and we got tuscon. right wing scumbags

  • Are we getting close to the tipping point ?Not yet. There is too much jealousy, greed, and hatred of anyone who perceives you have it easier, better than you.The hatred is spreading.Take away my rights ...I want my children to stay alive.

  • I have gained a lot of respect for TYT after this.Congresswoman,police,father,son,mother,wife. All victims!!!!.I will subscribe now.

  • You know what, we also had a communist nut who shot Gabrielle Giffords in the back of the head and six others in the back of the head.

    You were saying?

  • this guy is everything he says is wrong with the right wing except liberal

  • These anti-gun people are missing a big number in the violence formula. Human nature. If you take all the guns away, all the criminals will use knives, hammers, and even rocks and bricks. The problem is that the law abiding people will no longer have guns to protect themselves from the knives and bricks.

  • @Chains99 That is so retarded it hurts. So in europe people rob banks with bricks? Next

  • @Daelyas Personally I could care less what YOU think is retarded. However, since you were so kind to share it with me anyways......this is what I think is retarded; when people like you run around trying to disarm all the law abiding people so they can no longer act as a counter balance to the criminals, who will never follow any of your silly laws anyways. The only thing your stupid gun control laws do is give a false sense of security to people, and give criminals the advantage.

  • @Chains99 No. That is wo wrong... and so dumb. WHY does a clerk need a gun? A bus driver? A teacher? A butcher? A _____? (insert anything exept cop here). They don't. End of story. Europe does not bann guns. But zou have to take a test for it. Do you let every moron drive a car? Fly a plane? No you do not. For good reasons. So why let people buy guns without any ID. It is INSANE! And gun violence numbers are WAY higher than here. (europe) Criminals are dealt with by the police. Like it should be

  • @Chains99 And most of the time... even our cops don't carry guns. Because guns lead to problems if you use them ALL THE EFFING TIME... Can't you see that? Some idiot grandpa sitting on his porch shooting the kids who scateboard on the sidewalk. And making guns so easy to get to SCARE criminals? But they have it easier to get them then too!!! Its not like every criminal knows the blackmarket :D Most criminals are one-timers who regret it in the end... The harcore crime scene doesn't care anyway.

  • @Chains99 Keep your gun. Fine with me. But take a test for it. The test can be free of charge (or lets say 50 bucks) and be over in 1-2 hours. Answer some simple questions. (Why do you want it? Do you have the skill and knowledge to use it safley? and and and) and maybe show that your not a drooling loon. Thats ALL we are asking for. It would let every "law abiding person" keep there whole gun rack if they love it. But it would keep people who are unstable awy from guns.

  • @Chains99 Yes... if they really realy want a gun they will get it anyway. OF COURSE! Always has been that way. But its harder, safer and 100% smarter than just not giving a f*** and handing out MACHINEGUNS to idiots... man is it that hard to see? You need a license for fishing for f*** sake... but not for guns? Wow! You can not see the error there? The 2nd ammendment was made a long time ago and for good reason. But the british will no longer attack you. I swear! We won't! So get over it :D

  • @Daelyas Ok I will answer your questions. A clerk needs a gun so he can shoot someone who tries to rob him or her. A bus driver needs a gun so he can protect him or herself from the endless stream of gang members getting on and off the bus robbing and beating up the passengers. A teacher needs a gun for the very same reason, in case you have never heard of any of the school shootings we have here. Butchers and any other business owners have a right to be armed to protect their property.

  • @Chains99 So we should hand out guns in kindergarten or any shools because there might be shooting? that is so stuid. Sorry. A clerk is a clerk. His job is to be a clerk. There is a security guard in the bank for safety. And you seem to think that everyone is really responsible enough to handle a gun. Really? really really? You REALLY believe that? REALLY???

  • @Daelyas Wow.....maybe you could relax a bit. First of all we don't hand out guns in kindergarten, nor do we let just anyone have a machine gun. We already have laws about guns within certain distance of schools, and laws about automatic weapons or heavier weapons. This stupid gun debate in America only concerns disarming the general public of their STANDARD firearms like rifles pistols and shotguns. Really, there is no need to get absurd about it now.

  • @Chains99 I know that :D I was just trying to make a point. To show how stupid it is to say that teachers should have guns... or bus drivers. And I grew up in the USA. I lived there till I was 15. (Dad was working at the german foreign office in VA) I love the states. The poeple are really freindly and open to strangers... and the whole life style is so... optimistic? Its great. But in lots of issues you guys are INSANE! (not personal) Im glad to have spend my college years here... :)

  • @Chains99 I work in a slightly more dangerous job than most people. (Ship Officer) If we get attacked by pirats we lock ourselves in the ship and call SOS. Shooting back would put us in huge danger. I kinda like being alive. And like I said. Yes: people will always find weapons one way or another. But lets make it as hard as possible. Thats all we (rational people of this world who don't like violence) are asking for.

  • @Daelyas The problem is that it works fine in the UK apparently, but it CANNOT work here. We have a different culture here. We are not "peacenicks" or hapless sheep wandering around hoping we don't get eaten by something. We are fighters. We believe that people should have the right to provide for their own defense, rather than yelling out for help or hiding. We don't require people to arm themselves but it is strongly encouraged. You should try to respect our culture.

  • @Chains99 No. I can not repect that. Sorry. If you say that... why not support the terrorist culture. Its their culture of bombing things to bits... jesus... no that is not how it works. We in Europe went through the same stuff you did... I mean... we actually HAD a war on our own soil. We know its bad stuff. And everyone being armed makes it all go ballistic!

  • @Daelyas You really aren't very good at giving appropriate examples. We do not export our domestic gun violence. It is our affair, and how we deal with it is up to us. Comparing our culture to that of a bunch of terrorists is insulting and rude. You did NOT go through the same stuff we did, because we aren't going through anything. We perceive the problem differently than you. I see an armed society as a safer one. You think the opposite as me.

  • @Chains99 Yes I do. And history and facts are strangely on my side. No... thats wrong. I am on the side of facts and history. Man has always killed so its ok? Everyone agrees today that killing is BAD. So why make it easier to kill? And I don't care if I insult you or america. And it is NOT only your affair. What if a tourist gets killed in a shooting? Bad luck? Great. I dare you to say that in the face of his family. An armed society is a dangerous one. Every single case in the past shows this

  • @Chains99 And again... Keep the guns. I don't care about that. But have a test taken to own one. Would you allow mentaly ill people to drive? No. Because people can get hurt. Would you allow anyone who wants to fly a plane just do so? NO!!! because it is just insane!!! So WHY is it ok to hand out guns without a permit? Guns are built for killing unlike planes and cars yet one needs a permit and the other doesn't. It just does not make sense.(Lots of people here ARE armed. But they have permits!)

  • @Chains99 With that I mean stuff like guns, social laws, economy (we didn't get hit nearly as hard as you did when the banks crashed) , diplomacy and also (yes) human rights. I get it that the discussion of death penalty and torture aren't easy... but I just can't see ANYTHING good in these things. No matter how much someone deserves it. (And who decides if one deserves to die? Thats f*** arrogant)

Again... thanks for everything, but don't block of new wisdom just because its not your tradition

  • @Chains99 oh and I loved this part= "We are not "peacenicks" or hapless sheep wandering around hoping we don't get eaten by something. We are fighters" Yeah right. Thats the cowboy talking. You are not different in any way what so ever. You just think you are. Every nation has cowards and rambos. We don't wander around like sheep. We fight. But with words. Because we don't like violence. It only leads to more violence. Always has. Always will. You shoot a terrorist. His freind will shoot back.

  • @Chains99 Now I get it that at times you CAN'T talk your way around it. Don't even start :D But trying isn't gonna hurt anyone, or does it? Get the possible new terrorists on your side by showing that you really truely are the "good-guys" instead of bombing their houses to pieces and acting like you own everything. Don't you see that it is this behaviour that causes the problems in the first place? Just follow the rules you set up yourself. It shouldn't be that hard.

  • @Daelyas Well, clearly you actually are a thoughtful and intelligent person, so I will grant that you are capable of forming an independent opinion. However, you must understand that their are valid reasons for why you feel the way you do about guns and violence. The same is true for me. My "cowboy" tendencies, (which I don't deny) are born from being raised in a society that views violence as an acceptable means of solving certain problems. I just feel differently than you do on the subject.

  • @Daelyas I am actually pleased that our cooperation in WW 2 was able to bring your country to the point that it is now. I do not fault you for being less violent than Americans. On the contrary, I am pleased you were able to figure it out. What I am saying is that America cannot really get away with trying to follow your country's path. First of all, any real attempt to ban or strictly control guns in America would lead to a vicious revolt, that the government would have little hope of winning.

  • @Daelyas Finally, I guess what I am really saying, is that as long as I live in America, and have to contend with the violent culture here, I would prefer to reserve the right to arm myself until such time as the culture here isn't as dangerous as it is. Most law abiding Americans who own guns have never fired them in anger. It is entirely unnecessary to disarm people who have not given anyone any reason to suspect that they cannot be trusted with a gun.

  • @Daelyas I agree that certain people should never be allowed to carry a weapon, of any kind. It is extremely important that in the process of disarming the nut cases, you do not trample on the age old rights of loyal, law abiding citizens. We should not have to be punished every time some idiot loses control of himself, or defies the law. That's why we live in a nation of laws in the first place. Supposedly to protect our rights from those who would usurp them.

  • @Chains99 I honestly agree with lots of the points you just made and am happy to once again find a sensible guy on Youtube. They are rare as you probally know yourself :D I am still convinced that guns should best be left alone if in anyway possible but I understand your view and can actually agree with most of it. I guess we should leave it at that, what do you think? ^^ Maybe some day we won't need weapons at all... but I think that is probally a silly thing to hope for. hehe

  • @Chains99 Anyway. I really enjoyed this talk with you and really wish more people on your side of this debate would explain their points and not just talk loudly and full of rage. But I am aware that my side does the same thing just as often. At the end of the day we are the same species and libs. and cons. both have their share of idiots. Id love to here a final post from you if you like but after that I think we should end this, deal?

  • @Chains99 Like I said. You did show me some new views I did not consider at first. And even though you can not change my mindset (just like I can't change yours :D ) I got good inputs during this talk. Thanks for that! Nothing more from my behalf except to wish you well and hopefully you never get into any situation where you actually need your gun. I think you don't want that either. See ya again maybe on another Vid here. Until then! Cheers from Holland! "Chris"

  • @Chains99 Numbers again?= German school shootings in the last 20 years= 4! USA school shootings last 20 years= can't even begin to count. Cops killed in duty in Germany (last 20 years again) 2! USA... can't even begin count. Must I go on?

  • @Daelyas Well, whatever. If you ever actually disarmed all the law abiding citizens in America it would be an open season bloodbath for every gangster, dope dealer, mafia member, and anyone else who lives aside from the law. We do not have enough police to maintain order here, and we are ALREADY basically a police state. So if you would be so kind, please try to refrain from comparing the USA and our 350 million people, to your little European countries.

  • @Chains99 Buy the way... our little european countries are very thankful of america. You gave (and keep giving) us great things. The first model of free nation in the world. Freedom of speach and so on.... I am not kidding. That was awsome! BUT! That doesn't mean you have everything right. And we are more or less exactly the same people. Its only been 300 years since you left here you know. We have the same morals overall. After WW2 we changed a lot here... for the better. Thanks to USA.

  • @Chains99 But in 2010, when watching programms like FOX... I am not only reminded of the propaganda in germany 1933. It is almost 100% the same. I believe the problem is, that you never really "lost" or got attacked till 2001. (Im happy that you didn't! Don't missunderstand me here!) And thats why you (not you, yourself) have this "whatever I do is right" thing going on. That leads to the world hating you for it. We are thankful for your role in our past, but in many ways we have outgrown you.

  • @Daelyas In addition, we do not have the right to bear arms to protect ourselves from the British. We have the right to bear arms in the United States to protect ourselves against agents of our own government, as well as being responsible for our own safety in our homes and businesses. This right to "defend ourselves" is a fundamental right. Take a look at N. Korea, or Libya, or anywhere else dictators have banned guns. Civilians are far less safe when they are unarmed.

  • @Daelyas The problem is you don't live here. You don't understand enough about the United States to understand why we value this right so strongly. You live in a relatively tame society compared to the USA. As you said, almost nobody is armed, and most of the violence involved knives and other non firearm weapon. The United States is one of the most dangerous countries on Earth to live in, especially for an industrialized society. It has always been that way.

  • I find it interesting that he thinks guns should be banned and that all drugs should be made legal. What is the difference? Many people die every year from drugs. To say that drugs only cause self inflicted death vs guns that cause people to harm others is not a good counter argument. The term "freedom isn't free" is a catch phrase that politicians like to use to justify or wars abroad,..but real it should apply to our domestic policy.

  • Tipping point? Quess not - as the assasination attempt on Giffords shows. Gun lovers value guns more than people!

  • its so easy to talk about it when theres no one there to disagree with you

  • the only way to stop gun violence is to kill every human being because we are violence beings. guns don't cause violence, people do.

  • "Five MASSIVE shootings"

Duh...one good guy with a gun could have stopped it all.

  • @wmtipton Fewer guns in England, and their gun homicide is only 1 % of ours. FEWER GUNS!!! Look at northern Mexico, look at the gang infested cites. Don't blind youself with ideology.

  • The year after the DC gun ban was overturned murders in DC went down 24% funny how that works

  • Forget American traditions, Ban all guns, Even the police should not carry them on their person, Only locked in the boot of certain police cars for an emergency situation, It`s a vile state of affairs when gun fanatics harp on about an old law, Allowing devastating firearms among the general population, While you bury thousands of people from gunshot wounds, Killed for no reason.

  • @xmoroseguyx Spoken like a true criminal. Crooks LOVE unarmed victims.

  • well would u be happier if the father stabbed his children? violence is violence u need to control the crazy idiots not the guns

  • @shitpickle1128 but if crazy idiots have guns, which they all do lol... is a real harm to society...i like guns but i agree it should be alot harder of a process to get one.

  • People who think guns are evil have mental problems.

  • The looney left uses gun owner control in an inane attempt to disarm the largely imaginary "radical right wing" as a boogeyman. What they REALLY want is complete civilian disarmament of ALL people. Left, right, center and libertarian. Don't be fooled by shitheads like the YTs. They have a anti-gun agenda and will use ANY excuse or tactics to push it.

  • "Police can't control the population"

    "Control"

Thank you for proving my point.

  • i forgot how much i hate these guys. although i agree about legalizing drugs, that will end crime

  • "We exercise so much restraint on the left"

Yes. By placing more on everyone.

  • This guy is such a fucking moron it's disgusting! He should be on the cover of a poster child for abortion! That's all I have to say about it I'm so tired of making the argument against these idiots! Simply summed up "talk softly carry a big stick" Theodore Roosevelt violence prevention

  • Also the NRA helped passed the NICS Improvement Act of 2007 which strengthened the NICS background check system.. some pro-gun groups like the Gun Owners of America (GOA) were angry with the NRA that they would compromise like that. And all the Assault Weapons Ban did was make it illegal to manufacture firearms that had certain features like pistol grips or bayonet lugs or magazines that held more than 10 rounds.. it had nothing to do with machine guns/full auto weapons!

  • I think we should take a look at mental health care.. not more gun control.

We have a lot of gun violence because we have a lot of poverty and lack of mental health care..

and not just anyone can't just go into a walmart and walk out with a gun no questions asked, if you are a felon or have been convicted of domestic violence or have been in a mental institution you cannot buy a gun.. you'd be considered a prohibited person and you'd fail the background check.

  • @lavahornet2 Well look at the family structure? We have two parents who work, the kids grow up in daycare centers, and grandparents don't want to watch them. Married women are allowed to run off to clubs, leaving their husband, getting custody regardless if she is unstable and a drunk. Moves in with a guy she barely knows and he proceeds to molest the kids all the while the good father is paying for this atrocity. This is a common scenario in the U.S. and people wonder why we have high crime.

  • @Warpath2198 Yes family structure is definitely a part of that.

  • @lavahornet2 and after they fail the background check, they go and buy a full-auto m-16 with a 100mag drum magazine off of the street. Then instead of shooting somebody with a bolt-action hunting rifle or shotgun, before running out of ammo and being restrained (they might kill a few people), they start a fucking bloodbath in the mall, killing 50 people. Another win for gun control, looks like in this case the background check really worked. Dumbass

  • @hondacivic1992

you're an idiot, who knows nothing about how background checks work. you cna';t buy a full auto off the streets. automatic rifles cost upward of $10,000, and require more than just a background check. it's not hard to get full auto, but it's more expensive than most nutjobs can afford to spend.

  • @jahwarrior72 I know just how they work, I know a guy who owns a gun store. I also know that you can avoid them by buying a gun off the streets. Britain has a TOTAL gun ban, but still, I know people who can get you ANY firearm for dirt cheap. Once you get, it you can do whatever the fuck you want, because law abiding-citizens don't have the ability to shoot back. Most of your nutjobs can afford a $300 semi-auto AK-47 off the streets, then convert it to full-auto with a few household tools.

  • its not how many guns, its the people who have them. if this guy would pull his head out of his ass, he might realize that guns are an equalizer, and not simply a killing device.

  • @flyboymd82 Do I think people that have killed people should have had a gun?No way possible. But is it going to happen? Heck yes. No matter what.

  • Comment removed

  • A GLOCK OR A GAT

I would say the kids should have had gats rather than glocks.

  • gun control should be about vetting owners not banning guns

  • Responsible people should be allowed to carry weapons (especially high profile people). One: The government should be afraid of its people, and a reason the Black Panthers were successful is that they installed fear in the government. A Government afraid to fuck us over is a government that probably won't fuck us over. Secondly: People can get guns illegally anyway, so a citizen should have a right to protect themselves.

I'm a Die heart liberal, but the red states have this one right.
