Back in the Soviet Union, Khachaturian was always placed third after the powerful Prokofiev and the courageous Shostakovitch. I think he deserved to be judged with his own style : comprehensive, simple, Armen-farm-life-attaching.

You guys should check out Mao Asada's short program at Winter Olympics 2010. She was floating and gliding all over this music. It was very beautiful. It was her best performance.
