It's NOT something you're born with! (Admittedly, only as far as we know) There is no gay gene, or anything! I'm fine with it as a lifestyle choice. It's just weird is all.
It was for National Security. The idea was, plant our flag in the middle of the controversy that threatens us. Bring our enemies there to fight our military, thus kept the focus of our enemy off our shores and from harming our civilians. No one sees this it seems. Simple as that. As a US Marine, that's how I see it. Saddam did however break every UN ruling for what it is worth as well.

What a freakin mooron
Conservative = Teach a man to fish and he will eat for life.
Progressive (code for socialist) = Give a man a fish you took from someone else and he will eat for a day (then vote for you)

True about Iraq. There was no real good reason.

Here's a few reasons:
1. Saddam was torturing his own people.
2. War did not end since the first gulf war, there was a cease fire
3. Iraq was a major terrorist cell center that harbored terrorists who make attacks against the U.S.
4. Saddam continuously broke the cease fire by shooting rockets at our aircraft
5. After 9/11 both demacrats and republicans agreed that we should attack Iraq
There are many more reasons but I'm running out of the allowed character count. Thank you for your time.

Actually, those are darn good reasons, especially number 3.
Look, I'd like to make it clear that I have very little to add to this debate, since I was only 9 years old in 2003, when the war began.
Also, please disregard the first part of my previous comment. I have changed my mind since then.
Thanx. :)

Yes, Iraq was ran by a tyranny. Want to know the real reason why we sent our troops in there?

Makes sense... like the belief that Deregulation of Financial Markets is ALWAYS a good thing, despite the lessons of history.
