I have been shopping for a new meter for a long time, and they're all a compromise in one way or another! I am not ashamed of my glucometer or diabetes, and I think more of us need to be open and do their thing in public.

Other items on my wishlist are:

7, 14 & 30 day averages all available from the meter itself at the same time

Bluetooth (or Wireless ethernet) uplink capability

GAMES (Even something smiple like tetris or space invaders to help pass the time in my doctor's waiting room)

Your idea is ok, except you still need a lancet gun, and a supply of strips, thus the bag...

My list of ideal glucometer features is as follows (in no particular order)

Test Strip Port Light & lit screen (Already available from many mfrs)

Blood Ketone Testing (Like the Precision Xtra)

Remindier Alarm with Audible & *VIBRATE* modes (Not everybody can have an alarm sound when they need a remindier)

Built in PC link connector (USB/Serial) with IBM & Mac compatibility

Onboard Flash Drive

OH MY GOD! it was absolutely not a 'personal' attack to Arkray, or their fabulous glucometer: Glucocard01 or GlucocardX which we believe are THE best glucometers, both in terms of accuracy, and minimum blood requirement. in the video it just represented today's glucometers. actually, we highly recommend it to others. we used it because it was the first meter to grab quickly. i sincerely apologize if my video caused any offense to Arkray and thank them for understanding.
