  • great job !!!

  • The video illustrates the problem with electric cars though.. Too little range. See how he had to get into a second one to finish the trip? lol

  • Get rid of the crappy music, and tell us about the damn thing!

  • concept. more of this crap B S Motorcycle cars. in order to save money on gas we have to beable to buy the the thing, T-REX is just that a motorcycle for 75000 thats BS

so far China has made these thing for years. But cant get one here in the U.S I hope China Makes a copy of that T-REX an sell it for 7 to 10000 or less

  • @amistosa2007

I wish what you said about China is true, but I don't think we've gone that far.

  • I want one

  • Looks nice. What happened to your 3 GREEN WHEELS blog site? Seems to be in a state of disrepair (a bit like the Fly the Wind debacle? Sorry -- but that disappointed a lot of folks).

  • I love it! Sam I am!

  • Better-looking than the Aptera

  • I'm sold ! Where do I buy one?

  • @ufoengines Google "Re-Volt" - It's manufactured in Poland!

  • I know one thing right off--not important to the effeciancy, or the innovation, or any of the other big technology about the car----it's not goanna sell well without a wondow you cn roll down for drive-thru/teller access. Or just for fresh air, being able to hange your elbow out the window. And it better have some climate control and a stero system. Seems petty at first, but think about driving to the sonic or to the bank/teller, and having to open the door, way over the level of your head.

  • @iciavosser Hmm, wondow?, hange?, stero? could it be (window, hang, stereo), just curious.

  • I like it. Front end design looks a bit like a "Jason" mask from the halloween movies.

  • you took the way of lotus! that car is way to happy!!!!!!

  • In countries like china and india ? .. yes ? ... its also all what I need

  • lastima k en mexico no exista este mercado

  • cool

  • almost looks exactly like the Corbin Sparrow...

  • @zangretor *almost, not exactly. sorry im tired -_-

  • hows the body roll on this thing? i'd love to take it around the track.

  • death trap!

  • Wow, ugly.

  • This was invented 50-60 years ago by Buckminster Fuller. Only his was larger.

  • @kdc43 Buckminster Fuller's Dymaxion car had rear wheel steering (on one wheel) rather than the two front wheels like this machine. There are videos on YouTube if you search 'Dymaxion'. Additionally there are plenty of recumbent cycles (tricycles) which have a similar setup as this vehicle although of course human powered. The beauty in this vehicle is that you would stay dry when it rains, it would be great fun to drive and I'm certain it would be economical to run.

  • To all the people complaining about safety, how's this any less safe than a motorcycle?

    k, thx.

  • I'll buy this with a 650cc motor in it.

  • The front end looks like it was designed by Tim Burton.

  • Thing is you will need everyone in the city to have a car like that. You cannot mix them with traditionnal cars; because of the riks. It wil avoid accidents mostly to have the same car with the same speed with the same strengh. That will probably never happen...

  • looks crappy and fuck the safety

  • Amazing! It's like a "Messerschmitts" bubblecar.....

  • Search on Google ESTRIMA BIRÒ. That's a real electric vehicle and it's so beautiful!

  • To jest Polski samochód!!!

  • Nie Szwajcarski

  • i have never seen a vehicle like this presented in an enjoyable, thoughtful way- keep your independence it is appreciated

  • its cute! but i still like the aptera better : /

  • its nice...retro style

  • WANT!

  • if it didn't look so darn ugly I could actually see potential innit.

  • Great concept. I think most people on here are missing the point. In countries such as China and India this is what they need...fast! Cheap to build and repair. More useful than a bicycle, safer and more user friendly than a motorbike. Anyone could drive it.

  • i wouldn't consider this safer than a motorbike, this is more likely to kill someone it's big and has poor visibility motorcycles are small and have good visibility

  • @dustziggy Don't be silly.. this is far too extravagant and expensive for India. The Indians are so resourceful, they can move a wardrobe and seven kids using a couple of dirt-cheap scooters. They don't need this. This doesn't even have room for the Mother-in-law and the goats! :D Seriously, the makers of this vehicle would not mass produce it for a couple of hundred dollars a piece.

  • max speed and range?

  • 90 km/h, range 100 km

  • It kinda remind me of the Messerschmitt kr200 for the overall design. Especialy the flap doors. I totaly agree this car could be a good urban vehicle, but can you give somme precision about the cargo volume?

  • ¿Cuál es el Diseño y/o Concepto innovador de la máquina?.

    Existe desde el año 1970.

  • what is the music name? plz

  • the door looks a little too complicated, it may take more time to close than a regular door

  • its nice in urban but me i need 2hour to make it to a town so that would be shit 4 me, n if u want something like that but goes faster go see the t-rex same thing but with a hier motor

  • Add another battery in parallel and you get to add the amp hours, and increase the range Thundersky Batteries has 40 amp hour batteries that are very small

  • It would be easier if the safety standards weren't so tough. I think alot of electric cars have 3 wheels because the safety standards aren't as strict on motorcycles. If I made an electric car, I would try to register it from the 70's so it could be lighter. like Lotus Europa if they weren't so expensive.

  • 125 cc green four stroke would be a lot better. Still need range and good crusing speed.

  • If they made this with a 125cc engine I would buy 2 of them. I already ride my 50cc scooter on nice days. This thing would make it possible to commute all year long.

  • smart kar you have ther

  • I don't even got nuf room to pack my booze with teh smokes included, watup widat mafaka?

  • You can't see it in this clip, but the SAM actually has a back seat. So you could put plenty of booze & smokes in it.

    Even some food as well.

  • How bt my ho? Can I put dt fukn thing 'n der too?

  • No, she's too fat.

  • lol!

  • Very cool!!

  • why do all eco friendly cars or w/e besides the tesla look so dumb. Start making them look bad ass and people will buy them.

  • I think this particular three wheeler looks "bas ass" already. I want one!

  • wow...pretty cool... although i'd take mine with a hayabusa engine please :)

  • sam is alive !!

    great job !!!

What's the prize and where can I sell??

    Grüsse aus Bern :-)

  • 500 to be built beginning September with 5000 planned for next year.

  • One review site claimed a purchase price of USD 10,000,plus battery rental of $100 a month...I'd rather have a hybrid!

  • Wait until November 2008.

There's a new firm which is working very hard to build a new SAM.

    regards form Switzerland

  • Very cool car. The initial price of 10 grand doesn't seem to bad (not too great either) but that battery "rental" seems kinda ridiculous. Especially since if something were to break on this I bet it would be a bitch and expensive to have repaired.

  • Hi,

the prize and the "Battery rental" was from the "Old SAM".

    *******************************************

The new company will bring a new model end 2008 on the European marked. They planned 500 this year and 5000 next year.

The production will be in Poland. The prize will be aprox. $20'000 including LiPo Batteries. Max Speed over 80 km/h (50 miles/h) and range will be about 100 km (60 miles)

    Regards.

  • Regardless what it costs, we here in the US wont see anything like this any time soon. It would hurt out perfect oil companies and theyd make sure to tax the hell out of it prior to landing on any coast. Easily a 6-8 thousand dollar mark-up. After that, a Chevy sounds good to the average American.

  • isnt this car in mr bean's old movie's, where he's fighting for parkin with one these cars

  • is this video promoting how easy they are to steal?

  • The front end looks cute and demented at the same time :D

  • In the UK petrol is now 118p/litre. Most people do single short journeys. There is a a market for this type of vehicle

  • aweomse car - it even drifts on the other video lol ...

  • Your opinion is wrong, it's a luvly cute little bug, chicks love that shit. I see what you mean about not being able to carry passengers though - even the Messershmitt could do that!

  • its electric u plap! look if you think like that what is the point of ev's they are 'avante garde' so no point in them looking like a ford fiesta really?, impracticle?...no not really most people go to work in 4 seater cars on there own, and in the UK its £1.05 per litre.

  • What kind of engineer are you exactly? A real engineer can see the efficiency and elegance in the design. I guess I'm just more secure about the size of my penis than you are, because I'm an engineer and I drive a small, electric car and girls seem to like me just fine. Green is "in" buddy. Get with the program.

  • I live in Canada. These vehicles are awesome.

They wont pass our saftey tests because it's expected to be safe on our freeways. It's time to think differently & introduce these on roads 50km/hr & under. In rushhour traffic these won't get squashed.

  • reminds me of a carver 1

  • Those are cute

  • It can't have 4 wheels like a car, since it would then only be allowed to go 25 mph.

  • "It can't have 4 wheels like a car, since it would then only be allowed to go 25 mph." Depending on what country you're in. Legislators will need to catch up and start recognising new categories of commuter vehicles.

  • Amen to that!

  • Paul Holmes, Chesterfield, by any chance?!

  • Olympia, WA

  • Concept is good but body work is pretty ugly!

  • what kind of batteries are you using in this vehicle??? I want my own electric car!!! =)

  • i want that car

  • Apparently they will be building this car near Warsaw, Poland. We've got our own ZEV, I sure as hell hope they learn to market it. Like the SAM, but not as much as our own. ;)

  • That car IS the future of commuting. Period. Electric tadpole trikes. Get used to it.

  • I have a concept for a 3-wheel car that is powered by a detachable motorcycle, which means it can be either a car or a motorcycle. The motorcycle detaches from the enclosed cabin so that the bike can be driven alone. I doubt that anyone has ever built this type of vehicle. See information about it on ebay (#270193159208)

  • where can I buy it ?

  • There must be two different versions one gas one electric, in one of your videos I spotted a Tachometer, unless thats a really large battery status gauge.

  • cool but where will my wife and 6 month old daughter fit? I guess I'll have to sacrifice them to the gods before going to work.

  • Do you take them to work with you? I think this is more a 'second car' type of purchase for people looking for alternatives to ritual murder of family members.

  • Unfortunately, only around 90 of these were produced in Switzerland up until 2006. They are no longer available unless you can find a used one.

  • Whut is the body made from?

  • it's an exccelent comuter

  • Should be four goals in electric car design in order this to all work and every one will buy them.

    1. Cost must be fair price around $10k to $30k

    2. Travel at least 200 miles on a eight hour or less charge.

    3. Must have power to reach speed of 75 MPH and in ten secounds or less.

    4. Battery can be repalced at a low cost.

  • 75 mph in less than 10 seconds is waaaay too fast for an electric goggomobile for the masses and batteries will eventually get cheaper, just like flash memory and iPods did.

I'm doing research to build an electric Ferrari 360 and it will do 0-75 mph in about 6 seconds but it wont be under $30k by a long shot, but cheaper than a 2008 Tesla.

  • 3greenwheels blogspot com - more than 20 green vehicles with 3 wheels (with videos and pictures)

  • It's the greenest vehicle yet.

And I like the fact that it resembles the old Messerschmidt. A really clean, aerodynamic car.

If you have your own "Victory Garden" you won't need to lug as much home from the grocery store either.

Have a lorry drop off your big purchases.

  • how much??

  • Doesn't look safe and if you are in a bad area, what then? How about steep hills? Mountains? Super Highways filled with dangerous tractor trailors? Can thieves take it easily? Will it survive a puddle when going fast? How far before recharging or refilling?

  • Think of it as a safe motorcycle. It's more fun than a car and safer than a motorcycle.

  • Electric motors have even more torque than explosion motors, so, over mountain streets, there are only advantages. You can even design it to recover energy when stoping, using the motor as a dinamo. How far before recharging? Certainly far enough for city usage.

  • I waz here!

  • Nice but are there locks on it?
