It is viewing angle. One thing you could notice is the very tight turning circle, and the fact that the pilot did not even use after burners for all these high-angle climbing moves. There is another video showing J10 take off, pretty short distance and high climbing angle, no after burner. F16 needs after burning to do the same.

Last time I say a Typhoon at Farnborough this summer, the bird was flying almost with its after burner all the time with pretty the same manoeuvres seen here.

To be fair though the J-10 in this display appears to have plenty of time to build up airspeed between manoeuvres, whereas most Typhoon displays consist of manoeuvre after manoeuvre, and are flown within a far smaller area horizontally than this display appears to be. -
