I Have now been to 3 wolfe tones gigs now and I will keep going. I think thay are an amazeing band. True some of the songs are about the celtic and the IRA but they are telling a story just like every other band worldwide. it is also true that some of the fans who go support celtic and or the IRA but you can't decide what fans go to your gigs and how your fans act its like saying that before the tones thare was no war in Ireland or football rivalry. You missed my point. My point was Fintan O'Toole mistakenly referring to the IRA's victims as "Irish citizens". The vast majority of them were from Northern Ireland, which makes them British citizens. You can still be an Irish person and hail from Northern Ireland, of course, but you are only an Irish citizen if you apply for citizenship of the Republic.

Ask Protestants in Northern Ireland what nationality they are and the vast majority will say "British".
