Claramente es un engaño, pues ni siquiera se ve que el ps3 haya cargado el disco, ni mucho menos muestra que esta cargando el bios del ps2. Yo tengo un ps3 de 60 gb americano (con compatibilidad total de ps2) y se que asi no es la forma en que los carga.

@evans4386 Hola.Lo unico que hago es meter el disco de ps2 y automaticamente el ps3 carga el bios del ps2 (lo reconoceras porque te muestra en pantalla la leyenda clasica del ps2) e inicia el juego. Una ves que carga,tienes que presionar en el "control pad" el boton central de PS para que puedas usar el control. Previamente,antes de meter el disco, tienes que "crear" una memory card para ps2 en el menu de juegos si quieres salvar tus partidas.Ojala y te ayude esta sintesis para jugar.Saludos

My theory is, he has a ps2 and ps3 and have 2 f1 disks, inserted both in both consoles, then from ps3 screen, switched to ps2 screen while loading...It's definitely fake...Other than that, it could be a 60/80 gb ps3....

the ps3 can emulate ps2 games. the 60gb was the only one that had actual ps2 hardware. and this is a 40 or an 80gb ps3. but i still think it is fake

the PAL 60gb ps3 did not have the hardware, just software emulation. there is absolutely nothing stopping them from making the 40gb play ps2 games. this is widely known.

this may be fake, but the PS3 they did show in the video was most definitely a 40gb, because it had a matte silver edging, while the 60gb models have chrome.

No it didn't, it had partial software BC. All PAL 60/80 and US/JP 4 USB 60GB PS3s have the same configuration. They all lack the PS2 CPU and ROM, but they all have the GPU. So they're not software BC - they're PARTIALLY emulated via software.

this isn't actually impossible to achieve when you take into account that the xbox 360 can play original xbox games using software emulation

so we can say that the ps3 processor is nearly 3 times more powerful than the xbox 360s in terms of cores, it should be able to play ps2 games with ease even without the emotion engine and the synthesizer chip

Well firstly the original Xbox's architecture is much simpler than the PS2's (seeing as it's really just an x86 PC), and secondly being "three times as powerful in terms of cores" as you put it (which is wrong), doesn't really mean anything.

Actually mate, you're wrong. The 60gb has a shiny silver strip, whereas the 40gb has a dull silver strip like on the video. I'd know, because I own a 40gb myself. However, I still think the video is fake. My 40gb DOES NOT play PS2 games.

This is obviously fake. If you pause it when the disc goes in, you can look to the left of the disc tray, and see lines making out the lid that opens to reveal the memory card slots. The models which lack ps2 backward compatibility also lack the memory card slots; therefore, it obviously is a model which already has backward compatibility.

The dude hold the camera at a angle for purpose! If you check out how the game loads or whatever, he is just covering up the sign of channels being switched... He has a PS3 "Running" a game... and he switches the TV to the PS2 channel that is going to load a game. If he really did load a PS2 game with a PS3, let him film it at the correct angle and show us no sign of what you probably did "channel changing".

It's really my call, i dunno about this, lets hope for the best.
