@thelittlejacob1 The Tornados appeared on the first day. I was a good hour away from my car (where my AA batteries for the Zi6 video camera were), so I didn't bother climbing back down for them!

I witnessed something similar up at greymares tails in Scotland! Amazing when you can see the tops off these planes!! Does anyone know if you can somewhere in yorkshire to see something similar?

North Wales. The machloop is part of LFA7, a low flight training area used by the RAF and USAF.

The machloop is pat of LFA7 in North Wales. Hawk trainers fly in from a nearby base, Harriers fly in from Wittering and Cottesmore in Rutland (a couple of miles from my house) and I don't know where the Tornados come from. The F15s are from Lakenheath I think.

It's a truly awesome place. To be on a hillside in a valley as a fast jet flys past 50 yards away and below you is spine-tingling!
