..we all know the question: should white folks sing the blues?, here's another one for ya: should a DUTCHman sing the blues.....? especially with a thick accent like this chap has!
He-le-maal mee eens winstonjoel rgangstas! White man can't sing the blues (to answer your question) but there are a few exeptions.maar Grolloo's Cuby zit daar niet bij!
Sorry Winston.. I translate briefly what my comment was.."I totally agree with You!!!!! I feel ashamed to listen to these farmers, It has nothing to do with the real vibes that negroe's generate when singing the blues!!
@Pan3405 Oh it's another of those "Can blue men sing the whites" controversies. Well, the Bonzo Dog Band really said it all: "Can blue men sing the whites or are they hypocrites?" The same goes for all the purists who'd rather hear a black man sing bad blues than hear a white band play good blues.
@GroovinEZ I wrote.. that there are also exeptions.. but this guy isn't that exeption.. Tony Joe White.. Jeff Healey en that man that wrote Texas Flood (I forgot his name.. oh wait.. Stevie Ray Vaughn) are beautiful examples of exeptions!
@Pan3405 Ah, some people's favo(u)rite sport: trying to outsmart other people on YouTube................. Well, "here's another clue for you all": Stevie Ray Vaughan (with an A, yes, that's how his name is spelled) did NOT write "Texas Flood".................. Read the credits on the sleeve: "by Larry Davis, Joseph Wade Scott". Larry Davis recorded it in 1958 with the great Fenton Robinson on lead guitar (whom I had to pleasure of seeing perform live).
Why not. He gets invited by major blues artist from america, to sing on their records or do shows with them. They respect his music and talent. He just does his take on music he likes and is influenced by.You got SOAD on your channel, so should armenian guys play metal? Same issue...Think about it.
Ohhh I've got the blues now ....I'd would like to go in holland, in this place...where there is a lot of very good things...just seat down and have drink (orange jus) and appreciate this beautiful music....
Oh, WoW! This is Sooooooo Fantastic! What a night this must of Been! This is the next best thing to being there though... Thank you for sharing this Gem! *****
