I think Jabbo wrote this song and I believe many others never published. I heard Jabbo playing in the Maison Bourbon with Hollis Carmouche in 1978. I haad the privelege of talking to Jabbo for several hours in his aprtment over what was Polack's restaurant on Bourbon. He had a player piano in the corner and the place was littered with manuscripts. I wonder what happened to all that stuff. Must have included some his other numbers .Was disappointed when he wasn't with One Mo Time in London
Unbelievably brilliant! I heard Jabbo smith on a BBC braodcast in the late 60s and the presenter, who was obviously a fan, said that Jabbo's whereabouts had been unknown since the early thirties and he was now nearly forgotten except for his old records! Luckily the man was misinformed.
Lars Edegran the piano player (EdegraM - Wrong) has his last name mis-spelled in the discription. Please edit correction.
Except for Lars and Orange Kellin they are all gone now, with drummer John Robichaux tragically drowning in his own house, along with his wife and son, during the Katrina storm.
@lesterwyoung This song was on the LP of the show "One Mo' Time" but not sung by Jabbo. The LP was recorded in New York live at the Village Vanguard; probably out on CD now. The other material in the show is great as well!

I have the "One Mo' Time" LP and as far as I know (and can hear) Jabbo is the vocalist on "Love" there as well.

Never heard this song before and that's my loss! Beautiful tune beautifully interpreted. Is it on CD anywhere?
