  • don't eat dog meat and you will come to a better place

  • I had no idea that there was a monastery in Ithaca New York. How exciting to learn this. May the Bodhi mind continue to grow and spread.

  • What does the deity Kalachakra represent?

  • The wheel of time / time cycles

It is founded in a tantric cosmogony -- a traditional sacred explanation of the creation and structure of All. In the description, the microcosm that is Man is not different from the macrocosm that is the Universe.

Kalachakra is time and everything is under the influence of time, Kalachakra knows all. His female consort is aware of all that is timeless

In union, they are temporality and atemporality conjoined. Similarly, the wheel is without beginning or end

  • Nirvana is beyond time. In Indian Tantra Shiva is atemporal and Kali is temporal. As I understand it Kalachakra is somewhat similar to the Tantric deity Chinnamasta who symbolizes three of the more less known chakras which are depicted as existing outside of the body.

Please can you discuss these ideas and how they might relate to each other.

    AUM AH HUNG.

  • interesting and profound!
