traditionally for the cast on edge of a channel island gurnsey! Its a very stretch cast on and i frequently use is for socks, but its also nice on hat brims.. such a pretty edge to frame a face.
@crebmo I'm thinking that she lives under an Appalachian clogging school or a Jujiitsu dojo.
In either case the poor dear has probably been rendered nearly deaf; otherwise why would she not have re-recorded this without the annoying crashing sounds?
What a lovely tutorial! Very clear, and wow, you have a lovely speaking voice! Thanks so much - this looks like an excellent cast on. That's a great tip about extending the tail - very clover.
EXCELLENT. As a knitting instructor I'm always looking for "a better mousetrap"...this is one. Your pictures/shots are clean and your verbage is clear and concise. I will be recommending to all my students and watching your other offerings.
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!! i have tried for a year to find this and I finally understand this cast on.. Love the picot edging, You did a great job.. How about some lace videos?? blessings, grac
Thank you for this! I just spent 20 minutes with two excellent knitting books trying to figure this cast-on out, but it's just one of those things you have to see in person. After watching your video, I can see that I had it down about 95%, but your way is much cleaner than mine. Thanks so much!
Fascinating cast on I had never heard of. Thanks for your great video. What sort of garments/items use this cast on?
