And call me an utter nut, but I figured I should say this. Last night, I felt several dark demonic powers near me. I knew they wanted to harm me. So, I went to bed, shut my eyes really tight, and mentally sang this song as loud as I could. I wasn't hurt and after about two hour of basically mentally screaming just the chorus, the demons left. Just thought I should mention this.

Isn't the lyrics you posted wrong? It's seems the last thing he says is "[...] what's inside of me?" and in the lyrics it is "what I can't believe?". Idk if I hear wrong... =/

"How can I hope to live... what I cannot dream?"

"How can I hope to find... what I cannot see?"

"How can I hope to be... what's inside of me?"

Someone correct me if any of those are wrong. That's just based on what I heard in the song.

No, I believe it has to do with the fact that Sophia means "wisdom" in Greek. Which is why he calls her Athena Sophia. (Athena was the Greek Goddess of wisdom.)

A lot of his lyrics reference Greek myths (one of the many reasons I love this band so much.)
