  • NOW YER A MAN!!!!!

  • Im thinking this will be my wedding song!xD

  • 4 people didnt man up :)

  • I always think of Jack Black when I hear this song :D

  • I just saw this on Friday. It was like my favorite thing ever! I wish I could go see it every week. Easily the most intelligent display of ridiculousness I've ever seen.

  • What would Jesus do?

I heard that A LOT of times before! :)

BTW at 1:48 Jesus sounds a little funny/girly

  • By the way, "ORLANDOOOOOOOOOOO!"

That bit in "Two by Two" is my favorite part of the whole show.

  • @prue6967 Sea world and Disney & putt-putt golfing!!

  • Comment removed

  • I hate it when people say that this show bashes religion. If anything, it encourages faith, whatever religion you are. It does it in an unorthodox way, yes, but it's still inspiring for people of any religion.

  • @n1njapirate This is fucking gay? I'm pretty sure n1njapirate is the most homosexual username i have ever seen.

  • Sorry n1njapirate. Maybe if it had a dude jerking off in the shower, it would be straight enough for you? Faaaag

  • as a christian, I find this song to be completely inspiring. I want to man up all over myself after listening to this.

  • @ryan4121 I agree with you. This entire musical inspires me to me better Christian

  • @ryan4121 ....

  • "Because you clearly made a mistake! Turn it off!"

I fucking love that part <3

  • Time to battle darkness, your not my father????wtf

  • @cbrme97 When he says that, he takes a lightsaber and hits Darth Vader.

  • @cbrme97 its a star wars reference

  • "More to the point, why do you let bad things happen TO ME?!" One of the many lines in this show that is absolute perfection.

  • @gargentimma "Man up all over myself"

  • This sounds like a DVDA song. Definitly written by South Park writers. LOL

  • The best musical to ever hit Broadway says "I have maggots in my scrotum 3 times."

    ...

    I'm okay with this xD

  • watch me man up like nobody else! im gunna man up by lubin myself! Trey parker writes the best music for MEN!

  • 2:47 Unintentional AVPS Umbridge reference?

  • 2:02 makes me laugh so hard. This song is genius and the actors singing it make it perfect.

  • its time TIIIIIMMMMMEEEEE

  • and he took it on the CHHHIAAANNNN

  • I'm laughing so hard at the "MAN UP" you hear while the others are singing XD

  • I heard "Did you get my text?!" and I immediatly thought of Umbridge in A Very Potter Sequel.

  • @danceislife311 I think I just fell in love with you! XD Every single time I hear the song, I totally think of Joe Walker in drag! Lol!

  • @danceislife311 Not only that but one of his voices sounds like Umbridge too! So when I heard "Did you get my text"? I automatically replied "WELL YOU DIDN'T TEXT ME BACK!"

  • I do my road work to this.

  • I was not aware that Jesus took a bullet for us 2000 years ago LMAO

  • ORLANDO!!

  • I love the "Star Wars" reference

  • I'M GONNA MAN UP ALL OVA MYSELFFFFF

  • Have to listen to this on my 18th birthday haha

  • Just turned 18. Listening to Man Up. You know it!

  • This song makes me "Man up all over myself" lol

  • This song makes me feel like such a man.

  • 3 people have maggots in their scrotum

  • "Cause you clearly made a mistake." LOL! xD

  • guess who the police join, arhh the evil smell.........masons.....albert pike/

  • nice way to get people to join this evil cult against catholic's..a new world order masonic and illumanti club,so many sources say confirmed.....rotocrucian temples ect in quaker town.....

  • @Apalmeic5 get a grip, EVERY Religion is poison to our society, a true follower of Christ wouldn't say the shit you just said. the only thing religion has brought us is crazy extremists that kill in the name of their god, and i'm not just talking about Muslims. we are all brothers and sisters, the only group we belong to is the Human Species, nothing more.

  • @smallskenobi well now you are being an extremist, its not that religion has been the best thing to happen to the specie, but it has brought us a lot of great things and has made a lot of people do what we consider god, the problem comes when people take religion literally, we as animals need something to follow if we dont want to kill each other oh and by the way if apalmeic5 was being serious then he is the stupidest person i´ve seen post a coment since i joined youtube

  • @Apalmeic5 AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA- oh wait, you're serious. Allow me to laugh even harder. AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

  • chckn, just man up. ;)D

  • I have maggots in my scrotum

  • I love to man up but its to hard to clean up

  • All of the songs being sung at the same time made me man up all over myself.

  • The most perfect song in the all musical!

  • Why does the guy at the end sound like Tom Hanks?

  • @AlhazredTheMad its a joke....she has a typewriter and she thinks that typing things on it and handing it out is "texting" someone.

  • @marineairsoftsniper7 Computing. Relevancy not found.

  • @AlhazredTheMad sorry, i ment to reply to the guy asking why the girl kept asking if she got her text

  • Why does she keep on saying, "did you get my/the text" during the show? Africans in those conditions surely don't have cell phones.

  • @Mike0Powell No she has a 1920's type writer and she gives them the paper that comes out, she thinks that's what texting is lol

  • "I'm sure you don't think I'm a flake." "MAN UUP!!"

  • @adrianedawndawn That is my favorite part, lol. MAN UP!

  • 2 people have maggots in their scrotum...dislike? Seriously?

  • Today, I realised that this is the perfect work-out song.

  • @Eightbitotaku Agreed. OR when you need courage for anything really.

  • @Eightbitotaku The choreography for this song is basically a work out for most of the cast.

  • MAN UP AND MYAH MYEH MYEH MYEH

  • I swear, one day i will play Elder Cunningham before I die.

  • I saw this on Friday night and oh my lawd the entire show was just theatrical perfection. This number in particular was the most high energy thing I've seen on a stage. Matt, Trey, Robert, everyone involved have done something incredible.

  • 2:30 - end = ahhhhhhh :D

  • @BellatrixNellieLovet

So THAT'S who he's been reminding me of THANK YOU! It's been bugging me:)

  • I HAVE MAGGOTS IN MY SCROTUM!!!!!!!!

  • @gbyanks im going to guess I believe

  • This is making me so emotional about Jesus, I Just wanna man up all over the place!

  • America - F* yeah!

  • 1 person didnt man up

  • ONE DAY-

    MAN UP!

  • During HP and the Deathly Hallows last night, I kept hoping Neville was gonna break out singing this.

  • @gertiecummings THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN AMAZING!!!!!! :)

  • @CandyApple410 Just replace "Jesus" with "Harry" and it would it perfectly into Deathly Hallows.

  • @gertiecummings That totally works!!!!! :)

  • @gertiecummings i can't unsee this now....a fanvid must be made.

  • @gertiecummings With a few changes, you could easily make the Jesus parts about Harry.

  • "More to the point, why do you let bad things happen to ME?!" Yeah, that's really the meat of it right there, isn't it?

  • When he says 'time to battle darkness, you're not my father!' in the play, he grabs a lightsaber and stabs Darth Vader :P

  • @SAbowser It would be irreligious NOT to.

  • in the live version, at the point in this song when she says "we just have to follow that white boy!" she's writing it down on paper, later when she says "did you get my text??" she's talking about the notes she sent out (literally text). Cracked me up.

  • @aceshighh1 Really? I kept wondering about that whole text thing xD

  • Anyone like die laughing when you heard this the first time and at the end "I HAVE MAGGOTS IN MY SCROTTTTTTTUUUUUMMM"?

  • can anyone tell me what the main number from this musical is? (if there is one)

  • @gbyanks There isn't really a main number some of the big ones are this one, I believe, baptize me, all american prophet, spooky mormon hell dream and tomorrow is a latter day (joseph smith american moses turn it off and making things up again are secondary songs) :)

  • @CandyApple410 Agreed but "Making Things Up Again" is up there with "I Believe", in the sense that each song marks a revelation or epiphany for it's respective character. Near the end, the song goes "You're making things up again, Arnold" while in the background it says "but learning the truth about God", giving the very first example of the very theme that the musical is built around (Religion is meant to help people, whether it's taken literally or not is irrelevant)

  • @aceshighh1 Ok i can see that but my opinion is that its a secondary song i dont believe it is as important as those other songs i was just sharing my opinion if you already have an answer to your question dont ask it.

  • @aceshighh1 OMG im so sorry i thought you were the person who originally asked the question so i can see what you mean but my opinion is that its not as important and some of them :) sorry again disregard that last one :)

  • @gbyanks "I believe" is considered the shows Anthem by the creators

  • 1 person needs to man up

  • I love that Josh Gad honed in on the Trey Parker macho sound.

  • This song made me man up all over myself.

  • @GaryAnyanka Actually, Trey Parker did this faux-metal hair band voice before Tenacious D came together, so I always felt Tenacious D had a Trey Parker influence.

  • I'm pretty sure like twenty of the views for this video are mine

  • "we'll listen to the fat white guy" LOL

  • Did this song remind any one else of 'Get back up' from Starship?...No one, just me...okay.

  • @amygillies95 YOU'RE GO EFFING RIGHT OH MY GOD!!! :D

  • I'm gonna man up all over meself!

  • Just like jesus i have to grow a pair Lol

  • this is surprisingly inspirational :)

  • one guy has maggots in his scrotum

  • This song is classic Trey Parker/classic Broadway. I love it!

  • i feel bad for that poor guy with maggots in his scrotum...

  • Oh my goodness. I'm listening to all the songs in order right now. Sal Tlay Ka Siti was the song right before this one and I didn't realize that "sal tlay ka siti" is supposed to be Salt Lake City until the next song. Lol. Don't bother making fun of me, I've already done that.

  • @JazzlynRileyEspinoza

thank you for making me realize that.

  • all i hear when he sings is umbridge in the very potter sequel <3

  • @BellatrixNellieLovet im pretty sure your my soul mate lol :) AVPM & AVPS <3

  • @BellatrixNellieLovet Abso-freakin-lutley. "WHO'S DISRESPECTING UMBRIDGE?"

  • @BellatrixNellieLovet So I'm not the only one! :D

  • @BellatrixNellieLovet OH MY GOD! YES DUR DUR DUR!

  • @BellatrixNellieLovet i get it was josh gad in that

  • @BellatrixNellieLovet When she said "did you get my text?" I almost died XD

  • This song reminds less of Tenacious D than most of the songs you would hear from South Park or Team America, especially with the parts where he occasionally becomes completely incoherent.

  • ORLAAAAAANDOOOOOOOOOO!

  • I just manned up all over myself

  • hasa diga eebowai

  • i almost wanted to cry at the beginnning, with all the truth and sentimentality ( The beginning is the basis of Baptist-Christian belief) and then it got FUNNY !

  • I HAVE MAGGOTS IN MY SCROOOOOTUUUUMMM!!!!!!!!

  • NOW YOU'RE A MAAAHUHUAHUHAHUHAUAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Man u-ru-rup!

  • Saw this on broadway, freakin' awesome

  • I'm gonna man up all over myself!

  • 0 people are right for once.

  • Manning up after the last South Park episode. South Park is getting old, I'm getting older too. Its time to man up.

  • @SodaDrinka South Park is funnier than ever, dude. It's not a stupid cartoon with nothing but poop jokes anymore. Now it's a clever satire.

  • @ExclusiveCheese I meant I watched the last episode. If you've seen it, you will understand that the show is coming to a climax for real.

  • @ExclusiveCheese south park hasnt been any good for the past three seasons

  • @ExclusiveCheese HEY! What's wrong with poop jokes man...

  • The best part of this is the Sal Tlay Ka Siti redux at 3:35

  • 0 people have maggots in their scrotum..... That may actually be true!!

  • I'm going to man up all over myself!

  • Totally reminds me of "Montage" from Team America: World Police

  • @xD1105x Agreed. It shows lots of things happening at once, and reminds everyone of what's going on. It's basically a musical montage.

  • I'm gonna man up all over myself! :P

  • he man'd up and he man'd everywhere....

    lol

  • I'm sure all this arguing is just what Trey and Matt want.

    Please guys...man up...preferably all over yourselves. :D

  • I HAVE MAGGOTS IN MY SCROTUM

  • The fact remains that each division of Christianity is a skeptical of the other. But they/we are all Christians, believing in Christ.

  • @jbblue48089

Not me... but i know what you mean and refer it to all religions, non-religions and humanity :)

  • I was raised Mormon and this play is f*cking awesome!!! I hope they come to Chicago!

As for the Christianity arguement, any person that believes in Christ is a Christian. Some Catholics may not acknowledge Mormons as Christians because they have an additional scripture to follow and are organized differently. Some Mormons are skeptical of Catholics because after a confession, a priest forgives the sin and the transgressor is forgiven like that! *snaps fingers*

  • Bleh... all the stupid religitarding does is take away from what an incredible end of Act 1 song this is.

  • I could definitely hear this in a south park episode

  • im guessing this is the end of act 1

  • whats the guy say at the end? i have what? in my scrotum?

  • @faggyboy2 I have maggots in my scrotum

  • Cummingham's constant singing is hilarious.

  • the beginning gives me mad chills!

  • this reminds me of the le resistance song in the south park movie

  • Is it just me hearing Tenacious D influences here?

That's not a bad thing, just an observation ...

  • @GaryAnyanka It seems more influenced by the Trey Parker song "Now You're A Man" from the movie Orgazmo.

  • @mycurlseatbabies Same here! It's so the Jesus version of Now You're a Man

  • @GaryAnyanka I think that Matt & Trey have been performing much longer than Tenacious D. This is more in line with their DVDA music.

  • @GaryAnyanka i can hear some JB for sure

  • @GaryAnyanka well this song is complete satire. I believe - Chorus is You raise me up by Josh Groban.

The finale of the show is - you can't stop the beat from Hairspray. You and me (But mostly me) is Defying gravity from wicked.

its a lot of copying. Which is what makes this show GENIIUS!!!!! :D

  • @chrislss8 Hahahaa I haven't really listen to much of the show yet, obviously I'm going to soon though haha. But you are so right! That's absolutely ingenious and so sophisticated of them!

  • @GaryAnyanka i totally agree man so sounds like something tenacious d would do

  • @GaryAnyanka It's just you. And that is a bad thing. Jack Black sucks ass.
