10 STARS!! Now that it's over they should really consider releasing it on DVD like they did with Rent. If they do so, it should be the original cast. I know they have the whole entire show documented with it's original cast. This video is proof of it. --- That would really be beyond amazing. PS I am aware of the film. I am not anticipating a film version it's not going to be the same regardless. Even if Lin is a big part of the production.

I only wish I could be a part of In The Heights. But a big problem is I'm whiter than white lol. And there are so many talented Latinos that will definatly make the show some day. I will end up auditioning some day, but only when I gain a lot more experience. And i won't be heart broken if I don't make it in because I'll know that spot went to someone who loves the show just as much as I do.

@GuitarRocker42 your skin tone doesn't really matter. I've been to the actually Washington Heights to hang with my best friend and there are lots of really really really light skin people, that look white but are actually Puerto Rican.

@yamanuellieb with all do respect but what Washington Heights have you been to? -- I'm from Washington Heights, and I assure you that there are many light skin people but I rarely seen any that look white (as in Caucasian, if that's what you mean) ---and FYI the Heights is mostly a Dominican community, there are many other Hispanic groups that live within the Heights but fact of the matter is, about 87% of Washington Heights residents are either Dominican-born natives or of Dominican decent.

when the ensemble broke out into harmony on 'in the heights' no matter WHICH time it was or HOW much i was expecting it, i got chills EVERY time. that show was everything and more when it came to broadway. 5 stars!

A lot of this footage is used in the documentary In the Heights:Chasing Broadway Dreams, which airs May 27 at 8PM on PBS. It's a great documentary. It runs only one hour, but there were hundreds of hours recorded. Maybe we'll see it someday.
