ONe of my many favorite songs in the Whole USA!! Thanks EILEENKABUSH for posting this........Thanks Donna Fargo for sharing your talents with the world!!
d it's a skip-a-dee-doo-dah day. I'm the happiest girl in the whole USA. Good morning, morning! Hello sunshine! Wake up sleepy head. Why'd we move that bojangles clock so far away from the bed? Just one more minute that's why we moved it, one more hug or two. Do you love waking up next to me as much as I love waking up next to you? You make the coffee, I'll make the bed. I'll fix your lunch and you fix mine. Now tell me the truth do these old shoes look funny? Honey it's almost nine.
@Sm00cs I gave my husband a recording of this on our tenth anniversary in 1980. He was sooo pleased and said that every husband would like to hear that from his wife more than anything else, more even than "I love you." Sm00cs, I really did feel that way about him. He got killed in 1984 - and I still feel like that with my sweet memories. (It doesn't matter that we were Canadians in Montreal.)
@simayana that is such a touching story! I am so sorry that he got killed :((( But you are right, you have the wonderful memories of your love. And I don't if you believe in heaven or not, but I do so I believe you will be reunited with him.
nope. most people associate country music with rednecks or the south in general. just face it. yes it's a stereotype. now calm down and enjoy the music :-)
Just saw the Nike ad on TV. Nike is a beast, but they sure know how to make a great commercial. It brought this song out of the cobwebs for me. CLASSIC!
It is, but the ad leaves out the lines specific to a romantic relationship. I wouldn't have thought to use this song for the ad but the part they chose can apply to the joy of any close relationship-- a great backdrop to the way team members can pick each other up. I read that Nike made the ad to highlight disappointment that women's softball was dropped from the next Olympics
This is one of my most fave songs to sing in karaoke bars--since I'm a man I get the BEST looks from people :) I always use my worst fake Texoma accent when I sing it.
What an awesome song... believe it or not, I sang this song about month ago at a local bar they had karaoke that night... and you should have seen the people singin along with me !!! it was great !!!
i heard this song on big lvoe last week and I FREAKING LOVE IT NOW. however I like the girls voice who sang the one i heard much better it sounds more cheerful ...
