  • Covering a cover of a cover :)P hehe. Nice to see Lemmy pay a tribute to his old friend Phil Lynott. Would love to see them play something from Renegade or Thunder and Lightning.

  • One person doesn't know music, you see.

  • just to be clear- this is not a thin lizzy original.

  • Lemmy should be shot for his vocals on this track.

Stick to what you know Lemmy your no Seger or Lynott.

And before you all start bitching I'm a huge Hawkwind and Motorhead fan.

  • @NotSoNewby these r the same sort ov vocals that r on i dont beleive a word, killed by death and brotherhood ov man u cock u obviously arent a motorhead fan if u dont like them

  • @NotSoNewby

Oh come on. It's not like his trying to take Phils place, *cough cough Warwick tattooed up douchebag cough*. He can't help the way he sounds. I thought it was a nice little tribute.

  • if motorhead ever did a cover of dont believe a word i would shit myself with joy.

  • lizzy was so influential it's disgusting.

  • Mag het misschien niet hardop zeggen maar ik vind deze versie eigenlijk mooier als die van Thin Lizzy en die vond ik al geweldig dus dan is dit....f*cking fantastic !!

  • @sidneywatts42 If you think that a Bob Seger cover is Thin Lizzy's best song, then you obviously haven't even listened to half of their catalogue.

  • sound is shit

  • Lemmy cant sing

  • @dfarmersarse

    You can't sing !

  • @dfarmersarse You can't sing !

  • i think it would be intense if motorhead coverd Chinatown

  • Lemmy has an unusual style of playing bass.

  • Would 've been good to see Robbo on the stage playing this lemmy and the boys!

  • @sadfuk Agreed.

  • Big fan of both bands but Rosalie isn't right for a Motorhead cover. Cold Sweat could be an interesting one!

  • @TheSlash21

    How about "Angel of Death"?

  • Rosalie was a Thin Lizzy song, FFS Bob Seger only wrote the thing, his version sucks, kinda like the reason Sinaead Oconnor sang Nothing compares 2U, I dont like it but its twice as good as Princes shit version, at 2.11 , I can hear Phil Lynott singing " I can see you clapping your hands" from Live n Dangerous!

  • You got any Irish in you?

  • @synystersevilheir Would you like some in ya? lmao

  • well, its just that there's this song I wanna do...

  • Cool that they play a little bit of 'Cowboy Song' in there too. :-)

  • The classic intro on Live and Dangerous should tell all Lizzy fans about this song "A number recorded by Bob Segar, a number called Rosalie"

  • this is a cover of a cover.

  • haha i fucking love it

  • Doesn't stand up with the original one, but it's pretty neat too... I watched them doing it live here, in Rio. Motörhead rocks.

  • @VictorGuilherme this is a cover of a cover. Bob Seger did the Original.

  • Yeah, not too long after I wrote that comment I found that out...

  • i think lemmy and phill lynott were good buddys,i think lemmy said phill was a bigger hell raiser than him!

  • I've been known to enjoy the odd pint if ye get my drift but there's no way I'd have tried keeping up with the two of them !

  • Awesome cover!!

  • I fucking love Motorhead and I love Thin Lizzy

  • back last year i heard them do this in dublin (home) and the place went nuts!! great cover!! mr seger eat your heart out!!! haha

  • Ive got say their cover isnt half bad its pretty decient but youve still gotta love thin lizzys

  • You just know you wrote a good song when it's still being played by legends 35 years later..

  • LEMMY = MAJOR BALLZ \m/

  • keep on rocking

  • i was at this show!!!

and found all the opening bands to be pretty weak....but then again, how do you open for GOD

  • they did this at ipswich when i saw them. they were supported by girl school and cluth they were ok but motorhead were the best =)

  • Who cares if its a Seger tune, its the Lizzy version that kicks ass-listen to that wah solo! Just like Lizzy in their prime and a cool quote from the Cowboy Song in there too.

  • I was there. This was the highlight of the show for me. Pure awesomeness.

  • why doesnt motorhead play a real thin lizzy tune? this is a bob seger cover

  • Bands do that all the time - I'd love to see Motorhead do Cold Sweat. I think it would be perfect.

  • wow,i can just hear that!!!

    or emerald lol

  • I agree.

Motorhead are for me one of the few bands able to come anywhere close to Thin Lizzy's brilliance.

  • @dkstar222

Imagine thunder an lightning covered by motorhead, that would be amazing

  • @kkinkead

    Correct.

It was written about our little old radio station in Windsor Ontario Canada. Ms Trombley was program directer at CKLW the Big 8(AM 800) that was able to broadcast in 4 provinces and 20 odd american states. It was a trendsetter before music shattered into a hundreds of subgenres. That station had one powerful antenae and at night could be heard in Scandinavia

  • @kkinkead ya but dude, you know how every once and a while a cover is better than the original... and even fewer times it blows the original out of the water... well, thin lizzy made bob seger their bitch when it comes to rosalie....

rosailie+cowboys song+straightinto boys are back in town= a killer combo

  • @kkinkead

Thin Lizzy made it their own, but I would love to hear Motorhead doing Massacre, Emerald, Got To Give It Up or something. Damn, Motorhead should just do a Thin Lizzy tribute double lp. That would rule.

  • @kkinkead Nah....the way lizzy did it -well , ....its as good as theirs....and this is good too.

  • @kkinkead Bob Seger wrote it but Lizzy made it their own. They gave it the cock, balls & 18 fluid ounces of semen it required.

  • looks good to me! wish i was there with ya!

  • cool. thanks.

  • besides Valiant Thorr, who else played before Motorhead?

  • Year Long Disaster, who were pretty good, and some band out of one of the Carolinas, which weren't that good.
