It's not only that feeeling of winter that the "Capital of Flowers in the sky" portrays; it's reminiscent of better times - warmer times.

Especially this truly amazing arrangement is just incredibly melancholic and yet somehow peaceful. It is different from ZUN's original - his version just let you feel that the place you are in is warm and an escape from winter.

Both the original and the arrange are masterpieces.

Hope you'll be able to dig out something this mindblowing next winter.

@angeltheya12 Actually this is an arrangement of two game themes. First is the opening theme and then the stage 4 theme from a game called Touhou 7: Perfect Cherry Blossom. Touhou is a series of "bullet hell" shooter games and a few fighter games. It's grown a *huge* fanbase because of its many characters and its music. Search for the video "What is Touhou?" and check out touhouwiki (dot) net for more info.

I tried out one of the commenter's advise about listening while the snow falls and it so relaxing that I fell asleep within 1 or 2 mins. I live in up north so I had a white Christmas and watching snow fall with this music really fit the mood.

Soft and gentle in the beginning then slowly builds into aggressive fall then slowly gently stops.

Ahhh this is pretty soothing. Snow or Cherry Petal is a song which I've only recently come to appreciate, this has convinced me of it's true awesomeness and Capital City of Flowers in the Sky has been a long time favorite.

On the snow topic: Yeah we get snow only very rarely here. With even the slightest rumor of snow everyone gets all excited and then it never happens. Last year we got snow one day which sort of came out of nowhere. But it was only about 1 inch and melted the next day.

Beautiful. Really.

I guess the only complaint that I have is the midi like sound of the low brass. It just sort of sticks out and clashes with the rest of what's going on, especially near the end.

Regardless, this is beautiful. I really hope that Christmas shall bring us with more masterpieces!

The first song is a snowy song indeed. You can really imagine the falling snow, and playing in the snow. Sounds childish and playful. Pretty happy...

The second song is snowy as well... It's not joyous like the first one. It's rather sad. Sounds so ethereal.
