  • Legend

  • Not an Obama fan, but hey, at least he has some taste in beer...

  • He is so fucking alpha!

  • It is yeah. Read the wiki on it.

  • Dublin has to be the most boring and morbid town in the world and people who live there just dont know life or there own self worth its like a prison because almost every bar and food store has arrogant polish security gaurds on them and everyone judges you for simple things like the way you dress act behave walk and talk its SICK get the fuck out and live your life . You cannot express your true self in Dublin because the culture is so extremely different to everywhere.

  • @OBAMAisHalfCaste if you really want to experience true irish culture the last place in ireland you'd want to visit is Dublin. Dubliners are a shame to the irish, plenty of other places to go like Cork or Waterford etc

  • @poppenlol maby you,re right.

  • @poppenlol Fuck you Dublin is great and its better than waterford and all that crap in the middle of nowhere. your obviously not from Dublin since you dont know the potentical it holds

  • @louiselove1D im from toronto canada and i wanna go to dublin...fuck all the haters (if u watch wrestling [WWE] Shameus is awesome!!!)

  • What's the big deal? It's only a pint; It's not like he just got a phonecall from a man on the moon or did anything which has any real merit. Its Ironic that the company who own's Guinness(Diagio) announced that they are planning to fire up to 400 people from their marketing sector just a day after this happened. It's nothing to do with Obama, however it makes you think that are all these visits and speeches acomplishing anything or are they just diversions and sugar-coatings.

  • "I will promise you this, that if we have not gotten our troops out by the time I am president, it is the FIRST thing I will do. I will get our troops home. We will bring an end to this war. You can take that to the bank. " - Barack Obama Campaign Promise - October 27, 2007

  • Obama feels right at home with Eire's 20% unemployment

  • If they love him so much, they can keep him. Did you hear the one about someone filing forgery charges on BHO/Soetoro for the phony long form BC? Can't wait for the punch line...

  • I don't understand why everyone is worshipping obama as if he is some kind of GOD.

He's an evil, lying, war-mongering piece of shit.

He broke every campaign promise made in 2007 - including the most important one (to end the illegal wars)

Instead of ending them, he sent MORE troops.

And is now starting fresh invasions with Libya and soon to be Iran and Pakistan.

He won't be happy until U.S bases are setup in every corner of the (oil rich) middl-east..

  • @SteveFusionX so just leave an inhumane dictatorship in place then? good thinking. Why don't you stop jerkin' off online, get out and make some decent contribution to a complex situation instead of spouting generalisations. Nice one.

  • @garmac1989

Which "inhumane dictatorship" are you refering to?

Baring in mind; several independant groups have found NO evidence of gafaffi ever harming his own people.

pro tip: not everything you watch on your television or read in the tabloids is the truth.

Do your own research into the world you live in. You might be suprised by what you find..

    Good luck :)

  • @SteveFusionX Funny you referred to the media there, I'm actually a journalist by profession. I admit I should have been clear on the dictatorship aspect. Research is flawed, there is no such thing as objectivity. If you're looking for a certain angle, you'll be able to be cautious with the truth and omit actualities which don't suit your agenda. This is not an attack on you my friend. You are entitled to your views and I respect them. I was just debating an argument. P.S. fix your grammar.

  • @garmac1989

    Oh a journalist!? Wonderful.

Your pro-war stance makes sense now.

As for my "agenda"? I wish to see peace on earth in my life-time and an end to the killing of innocent people in countrys which have absolutely NOTHING to do with us (except for their oil-rich lands).

I also want liars and murderers like Obama exposed for their war-crimes.

I guess we're on opposite sides here, friend :)

  • @garmac1989

I meant to say Gadaffi before

  • Awesome!

  • I love this man, an absolute inspiration to every single one of us!

  • It's nice to see the man within the politician!

  • O'Bama 2012! The Irish are IN! ;)

  • O'Bama

  • LOL! He's losing the minorities and young people due to his imbecilic destruction of America’s economy, he wants to be re-elected so he can continue the destruction but even the weak minded libs/socialists are finally waking up to his COMPLETE and total incompetence! So what is his solution? HE IS NOW IRISH!! He wants the Irish vote! Tell me O’Leary, are you stupid enough to fall for this steaming pant load from this BUFFOON?

  • @leestauf

It's been 4 years since he was proven irish.

  • @leestauf He has roots in Ireland, they have been proven. He's no less Irish than any other Irish-American. As for destruction - George Bush left your country in mass debt. Don't lob all the blame on Obama.

  • @leestauf Why, when people try to attack politicians (on any side) do they use ridiculously over the top phrases like "COMPLETE and total incompetence!"? All that happens is that they lose what credibility they might have had and become part of the cacophony of dull-witted white noise. If you're criticizing a buffoon, try not to act like one.

  • @greyztone Why? Because they are all very applicable words for this disaster! Face the facts if you truly know them. By the way, I understand that the Irish government is having some financial problems. A wee bit socialist are we? Just like the jester "O"! No wonder so many Irish like him. He's trying to socialize America.

  • @leestauf Again with the nonsense. An obviously slight shift to the left in global and historical terms and "he's trying to socialize America!" More white noise. Yes, I am a 'wee' bit socialist - I think it's a good thing that the US has finally caught up with the rest of the civilised world regarding health care for instance - but I'm generally quite moderate. You however are obviously so staunchly conservative that anything even slightly to the left is a RED SCARE!!!! And I'm not Irish.

  • @greyztone Slightly socialist? Caught up with the rest of the world? How are those socialist countries doing now? The more socialist they are, the worse shape they are in. How are Greece, Portugal, Spain doing? Whose money is in the main, bailing them out? Why, it's the money from the evil capitalist American taxpayer! The soicialist countries are now exactly where capatilists predicted they would be 50 years ago. BROKE! OUT OF OTHER PEOPLES MONEY! And you think we should catch up to them?

  • @leestauf "Whose money is in the main, bailing them out? Why, it's the money from the evil capitalist American taxpayer!"

No...its money from Germany and other EU countries. By the way.. Germany is more socialized than America and they mange to have a stronger economy.

Yes..I know that doesn't fit your narrative. So fell free to continue to let your ideology trump reality and to make statements that are demonstrably false.

  • @givethemahand The U.S pays about 20% of the IMF funding. How many countries are there in the world? Germany is in desperate straights. Better check your sources fo accuracy.

  • @leestauf

Germany has a stronger economy than we do by most measures (lower deficits, net exporter, rising standard of living, retention of high wage industrial jobs, nearly universal healthcare). They were a guarantor of the Greek bailout.

And, Im pretty confident of my sources.

My sources are the New York Times, The BBC, The blog of a PHD economist, oh..and my son who LIVES and WORKS in Germany.

Perhaps you should check your sources.

  • @leestauf Wow, even more hot air. You really think universal health care in America is going to cause a Greece-like crisis? Really? This is what I'm talking about. Point to the very worst mismanaged example of welfare and declare that SOCIALISM IS EVIL!

Remember the banking crisis? Where the taxpayer had to bail out the banks? Well, LET'S ALL BE COMMUNIST BECAUSE CAPITALISM IS EVIL!

OR let's be moderate and mature in our approach to things. Instead of bleating on like complete morons.

  • @greyztone You can't seem to defend socialism with any facts. It's you that is blowing hot air. It's you who bleets like a complete moron. The origination of the banking crisis was a left wing congress forcing lenders to give loans to unqualified buyers. Ever hear of Fanny or Freddy? I doubt that you know enough to be aware of what I speak of. Why don't you give me an example of a succesful socialist country? Succesful for more than 50 years that is. It takes that long to spend all the cash.

  • @leestauf I am aware, thanks. I'm also aware that deregulation, massive economic inequality and self-serving market practices played just as much of a role. But you're not about a balanced view are you? No, it was ALL down to a left-wing congress.

Can I make it ANY MORE CLEAR that I'm not pro 'socialist countries'? Is your head set to black and white? Europe is full of successful countries with long-standing welfare and universal healthcare that have put the 'can't pay, can't live' US to shame.

  • @greyztone The Wall Street Journal has an excellent article on line proving you and your sources are incorrect. The U.S will be paying more than18% of any bailout. If you begin by assuming the opposite of what the new york times says on any subject you will approach reality. I have an open view, but that view tells me that if the liberal government had not only allowed, but demanded that unqualified buyers be given loans, economics would have prevented lenders from giving them. Then no collapse!

  • @leestauf "if the liberal government had not only allowed, but demanded that unqualified buyers be given loans, economics would have prevented lenders from giving them. Then no collapse!"

There were about 300 billon in non performing loans in 2007 with about half to "unqualified buyers". Then unregulated criminal bankers leveraged that into 3 trillion in bad paper (knowing it was bad) crashing the economy.

Question: Which is bigger,150 billion or 3 trillion?

So who did the most damage?

  • @givethemahand Obviously the congress is mainly to blame by getting the ball rolling to begin with. Do I have to say again that if they hadn't REQUIRED lenders to make loans to the unqualified that the whole ball would never have started rolling? Yes corrupt people took advantage of the situation, a situation that would never have been possible if the likes of Carter and Barney Frank had not meddled in private finances unconstitutionally. This is exactly what feel good socialism gets you.

  • @leestauf " Do I have to say again that if they hadn't REQUIRED lenders to make loans'

Yes, thats what you have been told. You refer to the CRA guidelines. The following is from an article by Robert Gordon in the American Prospect (one of those lefty publications). The article deals with the historical record, instead of talking points, so it may make you uncomfortable.(continued)

  • @leestauf (continues)

"Did lenders approve bad loans to comply with CRA, or to make money? The evidence strongly suggests the latter. Consider the timing. CRA was enacted in 1977. The sub-prime lending at the heart of the current crisis exploded a quarter century later. In the mid-90s, new CRA regulations did lead to a flurry of CRA activity, but, as noted by the New America Foundation's Ellen Seidman (and by Harvard's Joint Center), that activity "largely came to an end by 2001. (continued)"

  • @leestauf (continued) "In 2004, CRA was weakened, releasing most banks from CRA. Yet sub-prime lending intensified. It is hard to blame CRA for the 2008 meltdown when CRA didn't apply to most of the loans behind it. University of Michigan's Michael Barr points out, half of bad loans came from mortgage co's beyond the reach of CRA. A further 25 to 30 percent came from bank subsidiaries, not fully regulated by CRA. Only one in four bad loans were made by the institutions fully governed by CRA."

  • @leestauf Question:

Who is the real bad guy?

    A. A guy that bought a house he couldn't afford. (Keep in mind, he lost the house).

    Or

    B. Bankers that knowingly wrote and bundled bad loans, borrowed against them at 30 to 1 to create trillions in securities they KNEW were bad, sold them to their clients anyway.. then bet against their own securities. Keep in mind these guys lost nothing...in fact they gave themselves bonuses after they crashed the economy. Now...tell me who the real bad guy is.

  • @leestauf ??? The first half of that reply is a response to someone else's post.

The second half doesn't even make sense. No really, it doesn't. Read it again.

    Try to stay sharp now.

  • @leestauf "Successful for more than 50 years" A good example is a country called The United States. What you call socialism is what Eisenhower, Kennedy, Johnson, Nixon (and others) called their platform. We had banking regulations, large infrastruce projects, expanded govt. serices and yes, higher taxes from1946 to1999, the MOST PROSPEROUS years in history. Then unregulated criminal bankers, offshore production, wars based on lies & borrowing to give tax breaks to millionaires shot things to hell.
