  • Yea if there was a "mo" in front of that, then it wont be dont ask too much, but i dont think he said "mo" so yea, its asks too much

  • For anybody thats listening/watching now and understands cantonese tell me at :09 if jiin really sings "mun dat tai duo"/"asks too much"

  • @stellyamass that means " you ask too much", you are right ;)

  • @w2ching thanks thats what i thought.

    我係好嬲架,咁岩果一刻ipod loop 到呢首歌,

    聽左一半我已經覺得自己好慚愧..因為我唔應該發daddy mommy 脾氣,

    btw i love u mom and dad ; )

  • @MrTechfever i disagree with what ur saying there. people can dislike the video for a number of reasons. they dont have to be "heartless fk heads" nor "rich".

  • The 12 people disliked has no Balls, heartless fk heads, not everyone is as lucky as the most of you, we aren't all rich. 踩呢个视频噶12条友真系仆街,唔系個個都甘幸運,出世含住金鑰匙。 BIG FAN OF MC JIN! 欧阳靖我支持你!!! :D

    "搵兩餐食有早餐食~~~~“

  • how come he has not done songs with DJ HONDA

  • This is why most HK people are skinny....they walk everywhere. :)

  • nice ending

  • @leotorproductions "Wun Lern Chan Sek, Yao Jo Chan Sek" is basically "Trying to make a living" and "having something for breakfast"-- "Wun Lern Chan Sek" translated literally is "finding two meals to eat."

"mm hun duk tai daw" is "can't really ask for more"

He alternates between "breakfast" and "dinner" in the chorus.

I would do more, but there's a character limit.

  • found this on itunes.

    song: Wun Lern Chon

  • 掂!!!

  • 都唔明香港d歌黎黎去去都係愛情..MC JIN呢類咁寫實既歌詞既歌反而好少人識欣賞..真係失敗

  • why is it slow motion...

  • 0:03-0:05

  • I love Jin for his traditional value and talent for rap. It is so refreshing to see a Chinese rap and a absolutely good one.

  • "或者我大個咗睇法唔同...阿媽阿爸你永遠會係我英雄" = Best line in the whole song

  • +idk what ur sayinq bt its sounds pretty gud!!♥

  • This is actually really sick. I haven't heard too much stuff from Jin's cantonese work other than his goofin around tracks so this was a pleasant surprise for me. The video could be improved but the song is real dope!

  • this is what my life is all about.

i just want meals, and im happy.... i really dont need much~ food + air and im happy as mickey mouse

  • Verse Three CTND...

If I can get a fortune/win the lottery, of course that would be the best

But there are some things even money can't buy

Health, Love, having hair to cut (?)

    So I've decided I won't get a fortune/win the lottery

As long as you have food in your stomach

There's nothing else in this world you just can't have

  • Verse Three:

Whether you sell newspapers, or is a bus driver,

Or sell watermelons at the market,

Or wait on tables, is an translator, or a businessman (this line, I fubbed a little)

Either way, we all just want to be able to eat two meals

I depend on my songs/music videos to get two meals

So I'm asking that you don't buy fake/ripped cds

  • Verse Two Continued:

Who doesn't want to wear name brands?

But even if you don't have any, and have to wear sandals

You'll still have to leave your home live your life

Buy name brands? You don't even have to ask

There's some things in life you just can't settle

    Of course I have dreams,

But I want (Wun lern Chon.... Chorus)

  • Verse Two:

In this world, there's nothing free

The more you want to buy things for cheaper, the more prices keep increasing

When you see discounted prices, you will smile to yourself

And ask, "Where can you find such a cheap (food dish)" and dance in the street

A pair of shoes can cost a thousand dollars

Tell me if that's expensive of not

I'm not talking about US dollars, I'm talking about (Hong Kong currency)

  • Verse One Continued:

What a waste, after 15 years, I'm still just working

Maybe when I grow older, my viewpoint will change

Mom, Dad, You'll always be my heroes

  • Verse ONE:

I thought back to when I was a child

I never thought about how hungry my parents were

Only when I grew older, did I find out

That the reason why they were hungry

    Was because of me

Even though we weren't so poor as to be beggars

But every time we had to pay the rent, it was always barely enough

Wanted to be a manager/boss, to open a restaurant

But sucked so bad, just didn't know how to manage one

  • I am korean. But I had a friend translate...

    CHORUS:

    Wanted two meals

    Had breakfast

    Can't ask for too much

    Wanted two meals

    Had dinner

    Can't ask for too much

    (REPEAT)

  • its good but couldnt understand

  • it means that you shouldn't envy people

  • Lols This songs sums it up for my life. Everything is true.

  • @TomTheShark 人地係ABC 再講 佢又唔係考試 this is hip hop BITCH

    peace

  • 我覺得唱咩歌,唱得準都係"好"ge一個因素

    不論你咩國籍咩風格都係咁

  • @TomTheShark can't agree

  • @TomTheShark

    屌叫你就咁講英文都未得la

    口音 =/= 懶音

    你聽英國英文歌有英國口音

    聽黑鬼唱歌有黑鬼口音

  • @weedvince

lol chill m8 but mmm well in tehehehe

btw dun be a racist pig by saying '黑鬼' (:

  • this shits dope

  • i hope u meant in a good way

  • Cantonese .___.

I speak mandarine so i can't understand lol

  • anyone know where i cna download this for free?

  • To sum its up..

His talking about the importance of money but also its not the most important thing if life...

  • This song sounds so sick... I'm half Asian and can't understand it or speak it, It sucks so mcuh lol. Arghh... Oh well. I can still listen to it and enjoy it =D

  • arrigato...uh jin tryin out asian rap/music now?....too bad i/we cant understand shit...(this is the jin from I Promise the freestyle rapper right?)

  • hes chinese XDDD

    not jap

  • plz tell me lyric of this song.

  • i dont understand shit but it still sounds dopee..

  • man caught him at sugar and he was freestyling -- mc jin rules.

  • He could be a good role model!

  • 我梗係有夢想 但係我想

  • 什么?

  • meaningful

  • man.. i wish i could understand .cantanese..or whatever..

  • ...

  • Can relate... pretty deep...

  • good shit

  • he says breakfast something lol something bout that

  • REAL TALK

  • i dont understand one word. I just love the beat and flow. somebody tell me what he says in the very begginning

  • the beginning goes something like,

"find 2 meals to eat, there's breakfast, i can't ask for anymore, find 2 meals to eat, there's dinner, i can't ask for anymore"

hard to fully translate, but he's basically saying that he is very humble to be able to have 2 meals a day if you get that?

  • yeah, i understand. awesome. thanks

  • meaningful

  • That guy a Chine nees.

  • hot!

  • who let this korean crap come into jin's bar...

    fcuk off

  • fcuk u

  • fcuk you, Chines is better than Korean

  • No that's not Jin's real family in the video. I know his sister. She went to my school. AND NO his sister doesn't go "boasting that she's jin's sister." If you don't know her, shut the fuck up and don't say anything. If you think it's a rumor, then don't go "boasting" it if you don't know the facts.

  • Go JIN! Represent.

  • 型

  • Hmm I wonder if that is really his family at the end of the video..... I know he has a little sister that he really cares for... is that her?

  • Nah I don't think so, but my friend in NYC says he see's Jin's sister in the clubs all the time and she is like hella boasting how she is Jin's sister lol. Heard she was a slu... Yeah, but those are only rumors. So I don't think that is his real family.

  • I wonder how he wrote this album, cause he doesn't know how to write chinese

I think it's pretty hard to make good songs in canto, mandarin usually flows better

lol awesome song though, i've heard canto rap, but this is by far the best i've heard

  • Cantonese rap can flow if done right. Check out Sick life by MC Kwokkin or click on my name.

  • u gotta be hella tight to make some hong kong shitt flow like this

  • that's hella funny

  • whats with the Guy in the Daisy Dukes in the beginning. LOL.

  • LOL i laughed at him too

  • Best line in the whole song. There is nothing in Life That i need

  • Jin tells how hard it is to grow up being a working class Chinese and how hard to make money to make ends meet, hence "two meals"

  • umm my chinese is not that good cause i was born in canada, so i cant quite catch wut hes saying in the chorus. like i know hes looking for "2 meals" and then i cant catch the part after. to me it sounds like "listen, you're asking too much"

can anyone please tell me? thnx =)

  • you are right

  • 好好看!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Good started for MC Jin, support him!

  • Sometimes I wonder if his HK fans understand 100% of what he says. AkiraBenito's right about translating word for word... but still very impressive considering where he was born and grew up. Definitely way better than a lot of the HK commercial crap out there.

  • What is it called in english

  • this song roughly translates to " two meals"

i actually believe this is actually one of Jin's best songs because it has some real meaning and history of the artist and not any of that mainstream crap that is been going on with rap and hip hop.

  • Thanks I am actually learning cantonese so I wanted to find out what it was

  • WHAT IS IT CALLED IN ENGLISH

  • like i said in my previous comment it roughly translates to "two meals" it is not a literal translations but it is what it means. This song never actually has an English name so we have to make due with a rough translation.

  • he made a mistake in the lyrics.

he wanted to say 'can't ask for too much',

he directly translated it word for word in Chinese, he said 'ng man dak tai doh', 唔問得太多. it shouldn't be 'man' 問 which is 'ask' as in asking a question, it should be 'yiu kau' 要求or 'kau' 求which means demanding or asking for a favor, so it should have been like

唔求得太多 ng kau dak tai doh

  • he has a chance to cement himself in bringing hiphop into mainstream over here. that'd truly be legendary.

  • Cantopop will forever be ahead of hiphop in HK. Yes rap is growing, but it will never get huge

  • it doesn't have to be ahead of cantonpop in hk. if he has the ability to bring it to mainstream in hk then more power to him. hiphop is more underground than anything in hk.

  • but too bad hk pop nowadays can't compare to 80's or 90's pop...so jin will give hope to the andy lau, jacky cheaung, sam hui, beyond days.....

  • stfu

  • goes with the theme of the song don't you think?

  • well, it doesn't matter how the mv is done. Anyways, that is just your opinion, but I think it's all about the song and what is about.

  • stfu

  • u stfu u dont kno shit bout HIPHOP

  • awesome

  • u need a tape up.....

  • Epic

  • who are the people thats in the end of the mv?

  • familys i think

  • naw his sister is like 20 something
